Well said. Willie Obiano is a monumental failure.

Obiano is not a failure in any way whatsoever. No matter how you measure it. Whether its agriculture, SME,security, roads, hotels, critical infrastructure etc. You can dislike the man, but you cannot say he didn't improve Anambra state as so many governors that cannot point to even a single achievement.

Obiano could have made political enemies. But who wouldn't if you want to make a positive mark on history? Everybody wants to be Governor at the same time and once they feel he supports one side, they will automatically become his enemy, and they will decamp to another party. Even Peter Obi also had enemies because he wanted men of proven character to succeed him. I like Ifeanyi Ubah because i want an Nnewi man as governor in 2022, but i am not sure he has the type of great vision that will make Anambra a world class state.

If Obiano completes the airport, ICC, Stadium and others before he leaves, he will remain popular. Truth is that Anambra cannot do all the roads and simultaneously build all the infrastructure needed to develop the economy at the same time. Obiano has chosen to complete some key critical projects while leaving a few things undone. Depending on which project you view as a priority, you would have your opinion of him. But for sure, his legacy projects will speak for him many years after he left government house if he manages to complete them. The way Enugu remembers Chimaroke for ESUT permanent site & law school, Imo remember Dee Sam Mbakwe for Imo airport and Igbariam Campus of the state University & Teaching hospital will remain forever projects that Peter Obi will be remembered for.

Credit to Babatunde Fashola for making this a priority while every Works Minister from Obasanjo to Goodluck dithered. It looks like it will be completed by 2022.

I recently went on the federal expressway being reconstructed from Umunya to Amawbia by RCC. One side is almost completed with full crash barrier, emergency lane and proper drainage. That took them 24 months even with Covid-19 so looks like they will complete the other side probably in the next 2 years. RCC is the kind of experienced company ANSG is supposed to be using for critical infrastructure not Tamad, Paul B and all these local champions. Look at how they reconstructed the Ore stretch of the Benin-Lagos expressway that frequently collapsed. The roads they built in Anambra under the Ngige administration are still rock solid 15-20 years later.

Mktinsight, has tried severally to fight back but when he saw that I could match his own madness, he withdrew. But he insults and attacks people here because those people are not willing to get down in the mud with him. So he has a genuine reason to avoid me.

Lol conversely, you are the one that's always scared each time I land here to tame you. You have been reporting my account to the mod, wishing that I am banned from this forum. But on my own side, I enjoy dealing with you on this thread. You fought before, and I successfully put you in your place, you are scared to engage me in mud fight but you ready to fight people that see you as a mad man.

You are paid 5k monthly to come here daily to insult Obiano, the only reason you hate me is because I am always around to deal with your madness.

Mktinsight, grow up for once, you hardly sleep at night. Throughout the night you were on this thread, this morning again you are on this thread. Do you actually have anything else you are doing with your life except being on this thread?

Mktinsight, you don't sleep, you don't work in day time. What actually do you do as a grown up old man? You must be under the torments of some evil spirits. You are suffering from the aftermath of the evil spirits that abused you as a child. Go for healing and deliverance mktinsight

ANSMEDIA:
The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, in few weeks time will visit Anambra State to commission an all-inclusive industrial park.

Tribune Online gathered that the industrial park is the Federal Government’s reward to Anambra State for winning the 2019 award of the best state in micro, small and medium enterprises.

The Managing Director, Anambra State Small Business Agency, ASBA, Sir Clement Chukwuka, disclosed this at a collaborative meeting with Anambra State Coalition of Civil Society Networks, ASCON, in his office at Awka.

Sir Clement said the industrial park being erected at Nkwelle Ezunaka, and its centred to house financial institutions, Corporate Affairs Commission, among other allied offices that would provide convenient business environment for industrialists in the state.

The ASBA boss equally stated that Anambra qualified to host this latest business innovation due to its prime position in harnessing small and medium scale businesses for optimal growth, adding that no other state came close to Anambra when the level of implementation was reviewed.

He lauded the economic drive and foresight of the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano in supporting ASBA and enabling it to raise multifarious small and medium scale enterprises with strong capital bases.

Sir Clement expressed the hope that business will flourish throughout the state with the coming on board of the park, adding that they will not travel as far as Abuja or Lagos, to tidy up their business transactions.

Earlier, the leader of Civil Society Networks in the state, Prince Chris Azor thanked the state governor for investing in ASBA and encouraging it to assist cash trapped business people to raise capital.

I don't how serious FG nor ANSG are working over it.

You are right bro, all this can't be done at same time, Obiano came into office with a blueprint. Obiano’s mission in government is to make anambra State a socially stable, business friendly environment that would attract both indigenes and foreigners to seek wealth-creating opportunities. His vision, on the other hand, is to make the state the first choice investment destination and a hub for industrialisation and commercial activities. Which he has tried so well
Though if he implements and completed all the MOUs he signed, and some projects he promised he would av done extremely good.

ChimaAdeoye:

If Obiano completes the airport, ICC, Stadium and others before he leaves, he will remain popular. Truth is that Anambra cannot do all the roads and simultaneously build all the infrastructure needed to develop the economy at the same time. Kidnapped ex-Anambra Commissioner unseen 13 days after
January 26, 2021

By Nwanosike Onu, Awka

Former Anambra Commissioner for Trade and Commerce Dr Christian Madubuko is yet to be seen 13 days after he was allegedly kidnapped.

Hundreds of his kindred in Anaku staged a protest over the development on Tuesday.

Madubuko was kidnapped few days after he resigned from the administration of Governor Willie Obiano.

His kinsmen said they had to take to the streets because the signals they were receiving from security operatives were not encouraging.

They displayed placards reading: “Anaku people plead for the rescue of their son”; “We are pleading for his release”; “Is Anambra still the safest state?” among others.

Addressing reporters at Anaku, his elder brother, Mr. Richard Madubuko, said his brother had been missing for the past 13 days

According to him: “For 13 days, our brother has been missing. Initially, we thought he would resurface after a day or two, but it has come to a stage we are confused.

“We have therefore decided to let the world know that our brother has been missing.

“We have written to the Commissioner of Police without any response and we decided to let the world know what we are passing through.

“We want security agencies to help us locate him wherever he is. The police told us they do not know his where about and we are begging them to assist us in finding him.

“We have made enquires in government and the response has always been that we should calm down and that government will intervene.

“But for 13 days, we have not heard from him or from government and the security operatives. We are confused and we do not know what other steps to take.

“Our people have decided to continue protesting until we are told the where about of our brother. We spoke with him last on 12th January and since then, we do not know if he is kidnapped or not.

“While we are not suspecting anybody, we plead that whoever that knows his where about should let his family and community know.”

Another relation, Mr. Benjamin Ginika, recalled he was last seen after his visit to All progressives Graand Alliance (APGA) office in Awka.

He said: “While we are not suspecting anybody, we are pleading with Governor Willie Obiano to assist us to ensure that our brother is released unharmed. He has been missing for 13 days now and our community is in disarray.

“We have reported to the governor, the police and the state House of Assembly over this sudden disappearance of our brother, but nothing positive has come from it.

“Anaku people are begging the Anambra state government to help us search for our brother.

“Our brother has been serving Anambra State government diligently and we plead that government should intervene immediately to find out the where about of Dr Madubuko.”

Anambra Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Haruna Mohammed, said the Command was investigating the sudden disappearance of the former Commissioner.

Haruna said: “the case was reported on the 16/1/2021 at the Central Police Station, Awka and the Commissioner of Police has directed the anti – kidnapping unit to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

He started quickly and was given a pass in 2017 and should have used the opportunity to perform in his second tenure such that whoever he nominated as his successor would sweep the governorship elections. But Obiano F'd up by delivering little and has way too many political enemies at this point - Peter Obi, Ngige, Arthur Eze, Ifeanyi Uba, Bianca Ojukwu. This is why he is rushing to build the airport, ICC, Millenium City roads and Stadium with just 10 months to go. But it looks like too little, too late.[/s]

This Airport will be viable and compete with the mainstream airports in Nigeria. We've to fight and bring China, Singapore and Vietnam's regional embassies to Awka to reduce the stress of travelling to Lagos and Abuja to do what we know how to do best. All the traders in Main man travels to this places for business activities. I don't know why our political elites are so scared to tell Abuja in their faces what we need and fight for it. That Airport has room for expansion, but obiano should not give us small counter airport because this is not the world-class 3D prototype he paraded to deliver. To me it looks small like a typical Nigeria type of shopping mall.

****One Nigeria crew, food for thought****

The Federal Government said it would spend the sum of thirty billion Naira on the upgrade of Umaru Musa ‘Yar’adua International Airport, Katsina.

The Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika disclosed this at an empowerment program organised by the National Directorate of Employment, NDE, in Katsina.

The minister added that within the next one month, his ministry will begin work on the establishment of a fire fighting vehicles assembly and repairs plant in Katsina.

Sirika added that the plant which will cater for the whole country would be a source of employment for 2500 youth, adding that there was no government in the history of the country that supported the down trodden more than the present government.

Other works to be done at the airport, the minister disclosed include the repairs of runways and the perimeter fence.
