Shop owner in Accra refused to respond to my request for an item and muttered in Twi about "these Nigerians". One BDC saw me bring out 3,000 GhS from my pocket (about N240,000 equivalent) when searching for a piece of paper, and when I asked to buy $100 to pay for the excess luggage I had to carry for my flight back to Naija the next day, he started asking for my passport in such a rude and aggressive tone. This is a BDC where I had routinely changed USD countless times in the past. Also, if you are a Nigerian driving Uber in Ghana, expect a Ghanaian passenger to immediately cancel the ride once the find out your identity. Ghanaians are just the worst in terms of racist/xenophobic behaviour. At least the South Africans will show you the thing frontally and overtly. Ghanaians prefer the covert approach. 49 Likes |

I wouldn't be ashamed either as Africans has proven to be subhuman among other race particularly Nigerians. let be frank to ourselves how many of us here would want to sit next to a fulani beggar? even if we do we wouldn't be comfortable no matter how well dress they look. 22 Likes |

Sexyjigga: Very true..The last time i was in india with my cousin to purchase goods for my company, you need to see the level of racists and harsh words being used at us(me and my cousin) At a restaurant in Mumbai, their countenance changed immediately we stepped in We felt so odd out there. They were looking at us with disdain...Indians don't like foreigners at all..No matter where you come from, you ain't shit to them. 21 Likes |

sorry . . . I honestly think feeling racially abused has to do with a persons level of confidence or rather inferiority complex. No mind me oh. I never reach airport before. but i believe if i can withstand all the hate, prejudice, and unspeakable disgust that comes to me as a hausa/fulani man in my country where do you think i cant survive in the world. just be proud, confident, and learn not to give a damn what whoever thinks. 10 Likes |

It is more tribalism and religiousism in Nigeria than racism. Let that sink in. With that condition, it will be hypocritical to point fingers outside. Nigerian leaders or followers will drive their nice cars in bad roads and darkness with a smile in their face, but will be quick to travel out to where they can build their solid destiny. 9 Likes |

chukxie: Why would they put on their masks? That's dumb of them. They are the ones with COVID-19. Why did they complain when they got on the train and French citizens immediately put on their masks? I've not experienced racism, though. But you will always have people that have a problem with African hair. 5 Likes |

i never understands what it means to be racially abused, until 2011 when i boarded a train from Beijing west train station to Guangzhou Train station. I was the only black man in that coach, everyone was Just looking at me,talking in their Language and laughing at me,calling me HEGWE(BLACK DEVIL)Because i don't understand the Language then. The most annoying part was when a family that sat close was telling their cry cry baby that if he crys again that they will bring him to me and the baby stopped crying. It was hell for me back then, especially when it's coming from Chinese people not from original White people 68 Likes |

Fvckyouall:I travel and do bizz alot in china,i think this is not very common in Guangzhou, the Chinese there are used to blacks there,so they interact and do bizz together, some even speak igbo languages fluently, like a chinese woman that do sale bread and a man that do sale food. Racism might be common in some province like shaoxin and other places that arent used to seeing blacks come for bizz. 18 Likes |

OUR LEADERS ALSO CAUSE IT.THEIR EVIL AND WICKED STEALING OF OUR RESOURCES MEANT TO BUILD OUR COUNTRY MAKE US TO BE SEEN AS SHITHOLE BEFORE THE WORLD...EVEN ORDINARY INDIANS DO RACISM TO BLACK MAN....quotemon10ease Kindly Share Any Form Of Racism You Have Faced As An African Abroad[/b] It's not all bed of roses studying overseas for Africans, especially Nigerians. We face different forms of racism in one way or the other. Nigerian students studying overseas lets please feel free to share the various forms of racism we have faced. I am based in China and on so many occasions, some Chinese would rather prefer to stand than to sit next to an African on a public bus. The most annoying thing is that they worship Europeans and Americans.[/quote] 1 Like |

I entered metro. Knowing how racist most Chinese are towards blacks, I don't sit beside them (I go avoid you before you avoid me). This woman still whispered to her husband and they changed seat I told them no need to change seat I'm not sitting close to you. In China, if they see you it's either they adjust their mask, change route or use their hands to cover their nose. This is everyday occurrence 33 Likes |

we have to make our Africa better We have the potential to be better than all the other continents And this improvement starts with us Nigerians Nigeria is the trigger of Africa No one gives you respect, you earn it Until we make our continent better, things won't change All these experiences of racism would only keep increasing I want to be part of those who posterity would remember as individuals who made Africa better Do you? theFilmtricsay 19 Likes 1 Share |
