This is actually a fact. The public university education in Nigeria can be frustrating. Pass rate. is very low and you hear lecturers boast about these poor performances by their students. I think it is a shame on the path of the lecturers because what it means is that they cannot effectively and efficiently transfer knowledge. Public university graduates that have good grades are in a hurry to leave the country. They don't want to continue with the nightmare and who could blame them? Still you have Babcock law graduates shining in Law School. Chima obviously wouldn't have done well anywhere or maybe "giraffing" and "sorting" would have been easier in a public university.

Mind you, I attended great public universities but truth be told, standards have fallen so drastically. I remember an interview we had for a top public University graduate. Someone had to write his application for him! He couldn't communicate well either. Will I use his case to judge others? Certainly not. Each individual makes the best of opportunities given to him. The institution is just a vessel to ride to greatness for those who understand.
