Ah! I remember the giddy days and fervor with which the Yoruba's campaigned for Buhari! How their girls would kiss his poster. How they did t-shirt aso-ebi's with Buhari and Osibanjo's picture where they were drinking sachet Milo tea! Ah those heady days! Days where the yoruba's poured online warriors all over the internet to sell buhari's candidacy, a man they dressed in borrowed garbs from the East and West but never in fulani attire!

A man they insanely loved to the point that they hated anyone who said otherwise and called them "thieves" or beneficiaries of PDP"looters." Yoruba imams, pastors and babalawo's praised and prayed consistently for Buhari and earnestly yearned for his leadership because, to them, he would rule with hate for corruption, nepotism, ethnic chauvinism and he would be a President for all. They cursed all in opposition and labelled them with all sorts, such was the hate emanating from the very top of religion/religious leaders. Indeed for all! Yoruba intelligentsia all lined up and outdid themselves with beautiful prose in awe of buhari!

You were hated in class, in the market, in church, in mosque, on the streets and in friendly gatherings if you dared speak against their messiah - buhari! Such was the love that friends cut ties, religious institutions blacklisted anyone who did not toe the buhari line. It was a complete wipeout of opposing voices of reason or call for closer scrutiny of the man they were selling! Even their revered poet body-shamed a fellow human being with the appellation - "shepopotamus." Such was the hate that it didn't matter the victim was a woman!

Ah Yoruba's! With all your self-proclaimed "sophistication" and "discerning nature" this is what you came up with? A monster that is devouring your people and spreading his tentacles to those that never supported the "leopard" who can never shed it spots? With all your intelligence, you never saw what blind bats saw? You forgot "words" or rather chose to forget "words" he spoke in front of Lam Adeshina when he openly threw statesmanship aside and batted in favor of "my people," the same people that are now throwing murder, rape, looting, kidnapping, mayhem like candies in all directions?

Haba Yoruba people! You have brought home ant-infested maggots but now complaining of the lizards visiting you? Truly, your refusal to learn from history but to be carried away by selfishness and unbridled desire for position caused all this. You were all swept away by your secret fantasies that Buhari will die and Osibanjo will become President! You were even wishing buhari death too, while extolling his "virtues." Ah Yoruba people, was Janus this two-faced?

Before you begin to insult me, let what I have written cause you to pause and ponder instead of your usual nature of attacking the story-teller who will not tell a story that excites you. Ingest this write-up to incite your thinking abilities and conscience. Let it inspire you to realise that you failed in your quest to use the emperor you installed as a pedestal to attain power. You did not only fail, you brought down the house on your head and that of your neighbors in the process!

Which ever road you travel from here MY YORUBA PEOPLE history has already recorded this event and it will forever remain not only as a deep scar on your conscience but is now your branding! In this 21st century and it's attendant technologies you have repeated the mistakes of Afonja. As you set about unravelling the knots with which you tied us all, let true (not insincere) fairness, equity and selflessness guide you! Ah yoruba!!!!!!

Brother, even the yorubas are more pained than you are. They didn't just vote for Buhari, they voted for change but this is not what we all envisaged.

No matter - truth is, it takes war to win peace! Men do not let you alone in peace without a war! The alternative is slavery and bondage. They are worse than death! We must settle this matter once and for all time. How long shall we live with this? Simple solution is to buy or lease land and ranch. The market woman has a stall. The farmer has a farm. The carpenter has a carpentry workshop. I can go on ad infinitum. Why is the Fulani cattle herder an exception? The Fulani has refused to embrace ranching. It is simply unacceptable to roam cattle on land and farmlands belonging to others and insisting that is what must obtain! The alternative is war! That is the truth many do not want to say but Soyinka draws attention to in a veiled manner.

They (yorubas) will read this and pretend not to

When the herdsmen started their carnage with Benue i secretly prayed that those who had a hand in the ousting of Buhari upon us should get their own fair share of the Fulani's end game and it seems God has finally answered my prayers!

Even this grey-haired coward called Soyinka dare not talk ill against Buhari like he did against GEJ or he will be thrown into the dungeons.

The truth is;

every Nigerian wants war

every Nigerian wants to bear arm and fight

every Nigerian wants to perceive the sweet smelling savor of war and be Experienced at it

every Nigerian would love to tell tales to children's children bout the Farmers - Fulani war a particular year just like we all enjoyed the Nightly tale of the Biafran war

And Everyone speaking against war in Nigeria at this time is really not saying what an Average Nigerian wants to hear

Whoever is thinking about war is nothing but beast and inhumane creature..... Only fool ask for war puto!! undecided undecided

Neither will you love to see your hands and legs chopped and your sisters or mothers raped in your front because you come from a particular tribe.

There is no unity, at best your People will be trapped in an improverished Southern Niger when the nation splits.

You will apply for asylum to Southern Nigeria when your new Arewa nation suffocates in ignorance, poverty and Islamic terrorism.

We in the South will laugh at your tears and say you shouldnt have pushed your luck..

The South will then look forward to a new progressive future. With rule of law, science, meritocracy, equality, progressive politics and economic progress for all..

All we need is time.. Buhari is the gift that keeps on giving.. Every mistep he makes is another drumbeat on the drum of separation..

Government need to regulate social media.

Social media is the cause of all these problems.

Naive people write and post fake informations online to incite violence without knowing the consequences of their actions.

When you start to blame a particular group for all the violence in Nigeria, that group wont sit down and look in idle they will react in anger and violence.

People lives are at stake, a possible civil war will end in disaster for everyone.

Believe me, you don't want to lose your properties, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, uncles and aunties to war.

War is evil.

what nonsense are you talking about Nigeria is already at war. Thousands of Nigerians are already losing their sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends to Fulani herdsmen terrorism and kidnapping and you are here talking nonsense.

Fulani herdsmen are mobilising their Fulani terrorist brothers from neighboring African countries and occupying forests, grabbing lands by force and taking villagers and travelers hostage and you are still scared of civil war that have already started, or is it until they storm your house in the city and butcher you that you will know there is war already You better wake up, these guys are bringing the war to your doorsteps whether you want peace or war, they don't care until they dominate Nigeria and decide the affairs of Nigeria and economic/existential fate of remaining Nigerians.. That is their supreme goal if you don't know.

the way you said they will react in violence like they have the constitutional right to do so, that is the problem encouraging lawlessness, the same thing you did during the protest, freedom of speech is a right, until otherwise stated, killing people because they have an opinion about you isn't a right, guess you don't know anything about the rule of law.

Solarin will be dissapointed at you from the grave. Before you quote me out of central diahorrea, the Eselu said to the Ooni of ife that all SW monarchs have all been displaced. Check that out.

More facts

When I listened to Gani say 2km after every town in the southwest is occupied by fulani, I feared for the yoruba nation. What this means is that there are competing demographics already in the southwest geographically. Its only a matter of time and the balance of power will tilt depending on birthrate and population growth.

If the southwest leaders love thier people and care about their future, they should partner with MNK covertly and build on the momentum of the moment and free their land. This government will bow to pressure from such alignment. If the yorubas miss this opportunity, it may forever be lost. The southwest will in 50 years be a bigger kwara state.
The only worry is selfish politicians like Tinubu who would rather sacrifice it's people.

How someone responded to the guy above, below:

My dear brother, you're preaching great man of great wisdom. How I wished SW leaders listen. I've travelled across 50 SW towns despite not being a Yoruba it's a disaster o. In tiny clans you could see 3000-5000 in a tiny city.

Ah. Eeyin Omo odua stop closing your eyes.

The strategy to hasten the railway track from Niger to Nigeria is to make sure there's an influx of fulani till the land is covered with them. It's a disaster now, every community has more Fulanis than it can manage in its clan. Oodua children when will you wake up that igbos aren't the problem.

Ure acting like those people have not been living in those communities for years. Yes there's an influx and I think the rail to Niger shud be abnormal if not illegal bt the claim is it's part of Ecowas projects.

This old age Soyinka is a disappointment. Can you compare him with the Soyinka that fought to free Yoruba land and risked his Life to make a radio station broadcast in 1966 in the days of wetie politics of SW Nigeria. Is the same Soyinka that wrote the man died in him who has nothing to fight for. Age has caught up with him. Rest in peace thinking you have a race of warriors coming behind you.

Please see don't seek what you can not get. Abeokuta Yoruba elite in 1966 foisted the current leadership arrangement on Nigeria and made the rest to follow. Despite the fact that the Abeokuta has always been rejected by the Fulani. Abeokuta has also paid heavily in terms of human resources for the union and have suffered other Yoruba from human and capital developments due to them.

Time will tell if the lopsided arrangement will last. Subtility has its limits.

Only recently it was darling daddy, IPOB is the problem and the Fulani were above criticism.

Where are we today? the Fulani are rightly demonised as criminals across the nation.

Yoruba increasingly acknowledge the criticism of the Nigerian state made by Igbos. They see commonalities in their respective people's plight..

No Yoruba man after the rise of Sunday Igboho condemned the attacks on Fulani cattle made by the ESN. We now have Amotekun.

Despite the tables turning, you still think I am a dreamer.

You are on the wrong side of history and deep down I think you know it.

Buhari pushed things too far and I hope the clown continues to do.

I have said repeatedly either as two nations or hopefully as one, the south will be better off without the North. The more nepotism and biased behaviour he indulges the better.

My nightmare is that he suddenly realises his mistake and starts serious efforts to enfranchise Yoruba and Igbo. Then we would have a problem.

But Buhari is too slow for that.. So I can relax grin

Fulani herders are very troublesome in the whole of Africa where their are found, their like harnessing lands that is not originally theirs. The worst part of it is that the Fulani in Nigeria are inviting others neighboring ones to come and harness land in Nigeria. As Colony and Ruga done failed them, those Vagabonds still want collect land by force.

Yorubas should send for all Yorubas across the world to relocate to Yoruba and we must take care of their residence and give them land instead of the fulanis or non Yorubas.Ibos and other tribes should do the same.
