I know you asked this as a rhetorical question, or to push your normal agenda but I'm going to look past that.

We actually need all-round tactics, not in attack alone. Afterall, this same defence was among those who conceded the least number of goals last season. A lot of the goals we have conceded this season are due to player errors - panic, lack of positional discipline, or just plain brainfarts. The way the team is set up also caused some goals.

The coaches should do their best to reduce those player errors. Let the players learn their weakness and play to their strengths. For instance, Fred caused us at least 2 goals last season by being dispossessed easily whenever he gets the ball near his goal. We haven't had such incidence this season. The players won't pass to him if they see an opposition player close to him in a dangerous area, and whenever they pass to him, there's always someone available who he can easily give a one-touch pass to.

The players need to minimize their errors and the coach needs to do more.
