So sorry to hear your unfortunate situation. This is the same guy that used to go by hsl-broker here. He stole from me and thought he could hide from me. I made him vomit my money with interest and got him kicked off nairaland. He never learned from the past. I told him that i would make sure that he won't find another victim here again. He found another platform to defraud people. Ne3t, please do not promote this guy again.

Kobicity should learn from this, weather it turns out good or sour, if you verify anybody you should take some responsibility for their good or bad decisions except you state it on your site saying you don't take responsibility of verified suppliers/contractors.

48hrs is too early to call someone a fraudster.You should hv exercise little patience,given time atleast 1week then its justifiable to take ur accusation serious. Patience is a virtue. U don't know the situation he is currently facing that is affecting the communication between u guys .
Note : i don't know him but am not a fan of name calling unless its really really really called for . Building a brand is not easy and destroying it can happen within seconds

He told me he’d drop the guys on site and find a hotel to sleep.

I repeat, this guy is a Criminal. May God help me to get my money out. I'm done with anything Nairaland. This is a guy who was arrested last year for a 3.1Million Naira roofing sheets and materials fraud. It was after I sent funds to him I googled his name and found out about his previous scam record. This type of person shouldn't be on Kobocity or this property section of Nairaland.

I am too tired when I read stuffs like this. There are still many trusted people on nairaland.

To all vendors out there, no one trusts anyone, in as much a buyer has paid, do all things to make him/her not to have a second thought. A vendor's number shouldn't be off after collecting money, a vendor must be reached at all times after receiving money from the buyer.

Impressive approach! I hope his physical address is known and also hope you will post the updates here also to show us how such cases should be handled.
I feel a heavy penalty or price should be paid if found wanting.
If there's any issue, once the client is briefed, he/she would understand. I absolutely hate someone deliberately avoiding picking calls. Be it client or whom I'm being a client to too once transaction is involved. It already makes me see them as unreliable.

Two platforms were named on this issue, one took it upon itself to see that the issue was resolved within the shortest time possible. I can’t say what’s happening at the other side.

Communication communication communication.. people won't listen , until the worst happens and they will cry had I known.

If you are dealing with someone for a business with that much money involved, any amount of money as a matter of fact.. why don't you communicate to the person if you are having difficulty with any part of the project? This roofing issue could have been the delivery driver disappointed him or something of that nature, he can't carry the roofing sheet on his head to the clients site.. why not communicate?? Send text, email, what's app etc. Facebook, Instagram.

For everyone reading this , few weeks ago, we all laughed about a post of passenger throwing blows with an Okada man because of 100 naira change..

Think about this for a minute, if someone is ready to put their life on the line and ready to inflict injury on another person for 100 naira, what do you think people could do for millions of naira??

This nonsense is innate in our mentality as 9jirians, Africans. You have an appointment with someone, they possibly forget, you call them up after waiting for hours, they tell you they are in traffic jam... I am thinking, did you just realize you are in traffic jam??

Or they tell you they are on their way, when they just woke up from bed.

We all understand, shít happen, in as much as we want to do a good business, we all have families etc and are dealing with whatever else life is throwing at us which might affect our ability to finish up a job, or stay through to our commitment.. what happened to telling your client, hey, my kid got flu, I am taking them him/her to the hospital etc. Or Car broke down enroute to the site, held up by police etc
