Blackfriday: Please I'm not a sexist or misogynistic I have a mother and I respect her I can possibly have daughters in the future But that doesn't color my objective analysis and judgement of women's nature as a collective based on sociological, evolutionary , psychologically and Biological data and facts |

Nateevs2: You heard McConnels speech after the trial that is the highest ranking Republican in Senate, you saw what Nikki Haley said last week, Will that be possible when Trump was still in office? Yet its less than a month after Trump left office That is enough distancing in the political realm. An ex president will still have influence and allies in key places Politics is still a game of numbers and GOP know they need to find a way to carry along the crazy faction of the right just like the left too has to find a way to carry along the Anti-FA extreme left if they want to win an election even if they dont like their ideologies or what they represent Will I vote Eric Trump? I wont even vote Donald Trump. But people who will vote Donald Trump will see no reason why they wont vote his son if the father was banned If GOP convict Trump the only side it benefits electorally is Democrats as it isolate a significant block of their voters So if the 20-30% decide to sit out elections or form another mushroom party. Is that not the democrats wish? 1 Like |

happney65:Pence? Guess you don't see how much damage he did to himself by providing validation for trump. I think Pence is far too intelligent to even think about contesting and will not survive the primaries if he is stupid enough to. In fact, no one closely associated with trump would survive, that's how much damage they did themselves, I believe, despite the opinion of the deplorables. They may have pulled wool over our eyes once, but as they say in Tennessee: www.nairaland.com/attachments/13146392_notable02538_jpege9a7c5d2d9347f70f8ad14b7d74b52e1 2 Likes

edi287: That is why they are straddling both sides, Condemning Trump's actions(appeasing the moderates) yet acquitting him (Appeasing the extremes) Or if you were to be a GOP strategist hoping to win elections in the future, what will you rather do? 2 Likes |

This is just common sense. He lost the WhiteHouse and the senate. Alot of Qanon have repented, lost the surbubs, the Republican party is even more divided after the acquittal, only half of Republicans want him around, the GOP lost donors, the higher court of public opinion are much aware of what the orange turd is capable off e.t.c The remnants of his support left can't win an election. The orange turd already lost at the peak of his popularity. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/feb/15/trump-impeachment-republicans-wall-street-journal-2024 3 Likes 1 Share

raumdeuter:Honestly I don't think Mitch did enough to please the moderates. He's lucky this impeachment thing came towards the end of Trump's presidency hence he could use the excuse of not being able to impeach someone not in power. He could've held this impeachment trial before Trump left but hey... |
Re: American Politics Thread - 2024 Elections — Biden’s Presidency! by raumdeuter: 6:04pm On Feb 15, 2021 |
edi287: You cannot 100% please either side. Just like we can say the extremists too were not totally pleased, the same way the moderates will not be totally pleased That is still better than pissing off 1 side 100% Even if impeachment was earlier he would have found an excuse for why its not. Its the nature of politics, you defend your side A lot of Democrats think the Clintons are a liability nowadays but they still won't throw them under the bus openly because in politics you stay together |

salford1: This Guardian article reminds me of what they said about the guy in 2015/16. You know, at that time, I honestly thought he stood no chance against ''lock her up'' Killary. It took me some months to figure out what the guy stood for and when I did, I knew he was the man for the job. The thing is that the guy is just not perfect. I don't like his personality that much. But he gets the job done. He surrounds himself with smart, hard working people. He has his eyes set on tangible goals. "Generals" don't sway him. He's a man of his own, not like the demented Xibiden Quid Pro Joe that was ''installed'' in the White House. That's what makes us like Trump! 2 Likes |

He's just a real human being with a lot of blemishes like we all have - adultery (there was an interview he granted and told everyone who cares to listen that he loves sex), he tells stuff the way it is, doesn't mince words. Very blunt/brash, you can say vindictive - who cares! This guy gets terrorists running from MOAB (mother of all bombs), have you heard any serious uprising again in the middle east? feedthenation: Was it Trump's fault that he couldn't receive vaccines doses or the companies timing the release till Biden's tenure? How do you make objective analysis? Unlike Bush and Obama , Trump did not drag America into any external wars that would have led to new quagmires like the war in Afghanistan |

Scenario one, Republicans dump Trump. Then they will be even farther away from the White House than they were pre-Trump, and perhaps remain so permanently, for three reasons. Scenario two, Republicans still follow Trump. They will still be far from the White House, Trump and all, perhaps forever, for three reasons. Scenario three, Trump dumps Republican and forms a MAGA Party. Again Trump, MAGA Party and Republican will all still be looking at the White House from afar, perhaps forever, for three reasons namely : Reason one, Democrats have developed a certain Elections Invincibility, the ability to "win" at will any race they set their mind at, no matter how unelectable the candidate(s) appear. This was convincingly demonstrated in the Presidential and Georgia runoff elections, according to the certifications. Reason two, the Republicans, clobbered to stupor by leftists with the words , 'Racist' and 'Racism', are too listless to compete for power in the 4th world political culture that America has turned into. For example, it has become more profitable to befriend 5 kingmakers called Secretaries Of State, than to campaign like a mule and turnout 75 million voters. Reason three, this is a "nation-of-immigrants" administration with almost absolute power through the control of the White House and two chambers of congress. This Government not only can, but will immerse America in an oceanic sea of mass, third world immigration. Third world immigration is voter force for democrats and electoral genocide for Republicans, who may have seen the last of White House insides, sorry to say. I have been right too many times. |
