Good day everyone
I just bumped into this thread and I have few questions to ask .
Firstly will my age (28) be a factor to be denied a student visa from Canada especially to the fact I’m going in for my first degree ?

Secondly I came across an institution called University of Manitoba. How true is it that I don’t need to write IELTS and I can also pay my fees until I get there?

Thirdly if question one will be a problem for denial. What’s the solution if there is one
1) Yes it can, you are too mature for a Bachelor's degree program, Bachelor's degree program are mostly for students within the Age range of 17-24

2) Yes you don't need IELTS to apply of Admission in Canadian schools if you are a NIGERIAN & your medium of instruction all through your Undergraduate degree was English

3) I don't know if you can pay your fees when you get there, wait for response on this from the gurus in the forum

Solution to question 1

I will assume you are a Bachelors degree holder or
an HND holder.

At 28, you should be going for a Graduate program like;

Masters - If you av 2nd class Upper (2.1)

or

PG diploma/PG. Cert - If you have 2.2/3rd Class or HND Degree

For career/academic progression sake, the program must relate to your Academic Background or Work Experience or even both

Wait for suggestions and advice from the gurus if you don't have a first degree

Currently Conestoga college is handling just May apps because of the high volume of applicants they have. September will be open soon. Also for tuition deposits, thats the only school that offers that amount and is still refundable

Letter of Introduction (LOI) is totally different from SOP

Letter of Introduction is for someone who has gotten his/her study visa application approved, and passport stamped.

SOP is a letter meant for someone applying for a Study Visa.

This is where you tell:

-A story unique to yourself.
-Who you are.
-What you presently do?
-Why study in Canada and not some other country?
-Why return to your country after study?
-Why the school?
-Why did you choose the course?

Good day, my program as co-op but I didn’t include the letter of work permit, I didn’t ask the school for the letter. Anything I can do?

Please just go for a PGD or a masters, do not try that bsc or you will just be wasting money on visa that will obvious end in denial. Age is not a barrier for those two(PGD masters) as persons of 32-41 still got approvals here

Good day Gurus in the house.

After a persistent sending of emails and webforms to IRCC. I just got this 'Your attention is needed' email this afternoon from the London office.

The below (2 &3) is confusing to me.

I applied since May 2020 (But have deferred my resumption to Fall'21)...which might justify why they need number 1 as highlighted (updated application form).
The number 2 looks strange to me as I don't see how that applies to me. Why do they need me to write a business plan? Or is it the business plan of the company that I work for?
For number 3, do they mean I should get my HR to write that I am still an employee in our firm?
Is it possible that they made a mistake? Like I believe they misclassified my visa.

PLEASE HELP OO. As I have barely 11days to take care of this.
JustMellow, Frankrobbn1

Has anyone here received this kind of information from IRCC and how did you tackle it?

Try it from a Laptop if you were using a phone or a tablet. I experienced same issue for days until I tried using my laptop.

Please house, kind of confused. Since we will do biometrics, do one still need to take the digital passport for his or her application?

Good day everyone, please does anyone have direct contact (phone number) for Abuja embassy? It's being 2weeks already that I submitted my passport, I am yet to hear anything from them. I intend to travel this week to avoid the C$2k. Any helpful information will be well appreciated. Thank you.

Not at all also submitted mine on the 9th and received 4mails the last one being that it's currently being processed at the Canada Visa office so it's probably the silence is coming from the visa office at Abuja.I think Abuja is now saddled with lots of processing as people are now sending their passports to Abuja someone here also submitted since January 28th to Abuja no response till date. I am planing on visiting the Canadian high commission at Anifowoshe as someone suggested here that you can go there that they went there that even before they left their LOI and counterfoil dropped in their portal so one can go there to explain the situation!!!.

Maybe you go to the Abuja Visa high commission office to explain one person did that they asked for UCI and Application number and before they even left the office LOI and counterfoil dropped in their account

5BY2 is new but chexk the immm form to see if theres any section tagged that letter. But I think there are inquiry for evidence you still work there but am not 100%. Just an assumption

Quick update

If you’ve been waiting for your LOI and Counterfoil and yet to get it. Take your self down to Canada high commission in Lagos or abj they will ask for your passport number, email and tracking number (we didn’t provide this) if you like you can also write your application or UCI number.

Few minutes after leaving their office ‘do not reply’ email came in and we saw the document in the profile.

I sent several emails to all visa offices including this office since 3 weeks but they didn’t respond. By the way they also claim to close by 12pm, I wonder if it’s only on Fridays.
This was her post on how she went about it
