SegFault: You can very well live in your brother’s house and even access the kitchen, I really do not have issues with that- even though I would rather third parties stay away (and yes, it includes mine!). OP should drop his superiority complex for a start, else she is just starting with him. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Nwodosis: It depends on the family OK, but I have come to realize that most wives that are happy in their homes are those who have good relationship with their in-laws. in my family, we are not super rich but we are comfortable, my mum virtually taught all of us how to cook and everyone can go to the pot but don't take more than one meat except she permitted you. All my brothers, in their houses, I can go to their kitchen and when they come to my house, they are free to go to my kitchen (cos that was how we were trained and our wives understand very well) This issue of women saying that kitchen is their own, no one (wife) tries that in our family. That is why I said: it depends on the family. The only place we don't enter is bedroom but not kitchen, pot, fridge, etc Everyone in my house can cook so we help our women (wives). I say this again, most wives that are happy are those who relates well with their in-laws, pray and strive that everyone is comfortable and kitchen or food won't be an issue, thank you. 1 Like |

how old are u first? if u re less than 25yrs based in Nigeria.. it's wrong for the wife to do that... but if u re above 25yrs, she very very right to do that.. because it's very wrong to still b chopping ur brother`s food above 25yrs.. and also it's wrong for any man to b chopping his parent's food above 30yrs oo.. Ladies, can b pardon and understood..but not a man.. try and take responsibility for ur life... ur mates in the western world at 18yrs have already started 1 Like |

Entertaining a friend, cooking and serving him in your brother's house, in the presence of his wife...? And you think you have sense? You disrespected yourself, your brother, and your brothers wife. If your friend is hungry, escort him to a restaurant to buy food to eat. See how you just loose guard then you come here to post rubbish. Better go and apologize to that woman and try to do better. She even respected you sef, I would have walked that your hungry visitor out of my house before reporting you to your brother. 2 Likes |

Nwodosis: I agree with you, whether the guy cooked the food himself or not. Whose foodstuff/condiments did he use, whose utensils and kitchen did he use a d with whose permission. From the OP's language, it's obvious he's been taking the sister in law for granted. Watch how he said when the guest left his brother's wife started "ranting'. Can you imagine? I woman waits courteously for your guest to leave before confronting you about your invasion of her kitchen and you say she was ranting', there are so many women who will confronting you even with your friend around. Bia nwokem go rent your own house, then marry your own wife, that way you can go in and out of her kitchen and pot of soup without qualms |

Going to cook for your visitor without discussing with your brother's wife, is wrong. It's her home and her kitchen. What you could have done could have been to buy drinks for your visitor. She respected you by not embarrassing you in the presence of your visitor. If you want to entertain visitors, go and rent a place and move out. 2 Likes |

freetheking: Don't generalize OK, some wives are happy when their husbands can cook and dish out the food. Kitchen is not a wife's birthday right in my own understanding, pls don't relegate women to kitchen, let responsibility be flexible even in the kitchen, thank you. |

This might be fake story .. But however if it was real, dem no born any of my brothers’ wives well make she follow me do that rubbish when she is not mad. If she does and my brother was also in support of her , I will block them both and I WILL NEVER forgive them till the day I leave this world .. If my wife does that to my brother ( even if my brother is wrong ), I will send her packing till she comes back to her sense and I go scold my brother too but not in the presence of my wife.. Las las na see finish Dey cause all these things.. me wey be say all my brothers wives Dey kneel down greet me anytime I go there.. most of them even love it if I sleep over ( it might be fake love though ). Op if you and your brother joined hands buy the property then u need to demand your share with force before u leave.. I’m a gentleman but never a fool 4 Likes 1 Share |

Sorry Bro, Your Brother's wife has all the right to send any of your family members that failed to understand privacy and culture out of her . That house is hers and if she allows you to stay there then you should understand what is called boundary , you don't go to a woman's kitchen to serve your friend without her consent, you goofed their, my brother. If your brother must enjoy his home pls I'll advice you to just stay away since you already know that the woman of the house doesn't like you. Command some respect by staying away and go become equally responsible. May God bless your hustle. |

the future of some uncultured generations will be determined based on the comments above some people don't remember the trying times the time you will need the said sister, there is nothing much peace can cost to reign in a family.. just be remembering that one day she will surely go to her husband house to learn and face the law of karma, because what goes around comes around, what we did today is what shall be spoken tomorrow such q guts and authority to send her packing out, oga oooo |
