Thanks for the hope in responding. Mine just show submitted just like yours shows new while in the message column shows none. and when I go through the application status. it shows crs score as zero and the criteria shows I meet the minimum criteria. I was scared but I think I am in order.

There’s definitely something wrong in your application if you’re getting a CRS score of 0

Go through it again carefully and be sure that you meet the minimum express entry criteria

I have gone through it severally. will do so again now and see if there will be any update on the real application form

Please help. I created my profile yesterday, While I have profile number and UCI, I do not have validation code. There's also something like my profile is pending.... Could this be the reason I do not have the code yet? I also did not get an email notification of the profile created.

I'll suggest IELTS Liz .

Watch ALL the videos on her website, and attempt ALL the practice questions. It is a treasure trove.
For Speaking and Writing, your second attempt was okay, so maintain status quo or try to improve on it with coaching.

Does she reside in Port Harcourt? I can help if she does.

My first result (09/01/2021) was L9, R7.5, W7, S8.5
Second result (06/02/2021) was L8.5, R9, W8, S8.5

What I did differently:

1. I stopped writing generic introductions ( this essay will, I opine, etc). Ielts advantage you tube channel helped me a whole lot in understanding how to write good introductions in essay writing.

2. I learnt how to understand the different types of essays (double opinion, argument, discussion etc). In my first attempt, I did not know this, hence I answered only one part of a two part question. Ielts jacky helped with this.

3. I learnt the use of contractions for informal letters. It is very essential to understand the different types of letter writing in task 1.

4. First time I spent too much time on task one and rushed tasked two. Hope she isn't making same mistake.

5. For map reading in listening, she should watch Alex of e2 language on you tube. Then liz for all types of listening lessons.

6.For reading, liz and e2 language videos. Ielts jacky as well. She should watch T/F/NG for the first and headline matching videos for the second.

7. For speaking, she can watch Keith of English speaking success. He videos are interesting and very helpful.

8.She should join the telegram group for ielts writing. They would drop great materials and also vet her essays.

9. She should look for the IDP writing guide and read it. It would improve her writing greatly.

I used IDP both times and wrote paper based tests, she can try that if she hasn't.

The truth is that in this IELTS journey, you have to bring out time and resources for learning. Every time I was driving, I was playing a you tube video through the Bluetooth speakers. Every free time I had at the office, I did a listening test, or reading test. Once my kids were watching TV, I left them to watch you tube videos. I spent a lot of money on data, didn't watch tv for the 1 month of intensive study I did.

Also, once I saw my first result, I booked another immediately, so as not to forget what I knew. It would seem your wife let too much time pass in between tests. If she isn't using the right materials and understanding her weaknesses and specifically improving on them, she would not have better results.
She needs to be in the right groups where they talk about ielts everyday, she also learn from people's mistakes. She needs to understand what her issue with listening is. Is it map, multiple choice?

She is using good practice materials but is she using them under exam conditions? She can try cambridge listening on you tube. It simulates exam conditions.

Let her not give up, like you said, every part of this journey is a challenge. My CRS is now 470 and my birthday comes in May. I have left ielts headache now to pray I don't lose 5 points before ITA undecided

Hello Guys,

Is a Notarized gift deed sufficient to explain the source of POF? What if it is from a joint account?

Kindly help with samples of a gift deed.

Identify areas you have issues with the IELTS.
It would be easier.
Also you need to know what is required of you so you can practice accordingly.
For example, in the writing you need to have at least 5 different kinds of sentences. And simple tenses shouldn't be used often.
For reading, work on your scanning techniques. Also, questions progress with comprehension passage.

Find a way to make it easier for you.
All the best.

Quick question. With the current trend of only PNP/CEC selection; do you think it's worth it to reduce my points so I can get Ontario nomination ? My current EE score is 473, but I have sufficient experience for both Ontario human capital priority streams (both tech and finance).

If you look at Ontario draws historically, they select up to a maximum of 467 points (last was 453 - 467 for tech draw). I can fit that score range by submitting evaluation for just one degree (I have both single and multi-degree evaluation from WES). What do you think ? This FSW fit reach April or May o...

Yes you can. I registered mine at just 3 days intervals. Although you're likely to be booked for 6pm session based on late registration and unavailability of slot. Nevertheless you will still end up writing earlier than that. I wrote with IDP MOD at Yaba.

Even if this were possible, declaring one degree rather than two...doesn't that reduce your CRS by 32 points (112 vs 119 for Education and 25 vs 50 for Skill Transferability/Education)? Thereby leaving you with 441 which is below the OINP CRS range.

Have you had a look at SINP while you wait for FSW draws to begin again?

Another idea is if you actually have CAD1,500 that you were willing to give OINP, then why not use a tiny portion of that to begin French classes while you anticipate FSW instead of just waiting....you can achieve a lot in 6 months (with blood, sweat & determination) and possibly get yourself into the 480s (with 12 points if you get CLB 9 in Listening and Reading.....according to recent TEF takers, there are lots of past questions that you can revise and focus on for these 2 areas only). It is also possible to get CLB 7 across and the 50 mega points will be yours (CRS 540+ leaving everyone else in the dust!)

Also is birthday lurking around the corner......473 becomes 468/467.....if above 30.

Just a thought!!!

Sad to say that you are correct. My score does drop below OINP CRS range.

My work schedule is just too tight, I can't possibly fit a french class into that. Also part of my experience is in 1111 - Financial Auditors, which is in SINP exclusion list. No birthday wahala for now sha. Only magic is if I can get a relative in Sask. and use only my tech experience. Hmmm...wahala truly be like namaste...
