Good day Nairalanders,

Someone should please help with how to go about my 6 years old daughters' study permit !!!!!
I obtained my approval for study permit in January 2021. I purposely did not include her in my application initially in order to gain points for home tie.
And having deferred my admission to FALL Semester , I look forward to her coming with in September.

I beg anyone with useful information to please share, I will be forever grateful.

Hello Akinajibola,

The process is similar to how you applied for yourself. Through your GcKey, you can begin an application for her by applying for a VV for her. Gather supporting documents and an LOE why the (sudden) decision to go with her, demonstrate POF funds of about $3,000 for her wellbeing in Canada though you should use an improved statement you used for yours, evidence of daycare/nanny bookings or pre-arrangement etc.

If it is not clear enough, do well to ask for further clarity.

Best of Luck

Just to put out here, there are cheaper options if you plan to travel. Montreal has cheaper government approved hotels and you can book directly. 443 CAD for the three nights, the likes of Comfort Inn, and there are still cheaper hotels than this.

Just choose an airline that's stopping over at an affordable area.

Please must I print my SOA?

Hello Mami1,

Not compulsory.

Good morning house/gurus, is it advisable to intimate IRCC that one has already started classes online without receiving final decision/AIP? Will it aid to fasten the final approval decision or will it work against the applicant

@lekiboboe
@justmellow

Hello Sleekcheek,

Mid last year when AIP was invoke, it was clearly stated that beginning online classes was influence the decision to the VO toward reaching a decision or getting AIP.

What you can do is poltely requesting for the swift processing of your application due to the close date for resumption and the need to prepare to meeting with the requirements of the quarantine measures...

However, you telling the VO about the actual situation of things won't negate the processing of your application in any way.

Please i need people's responses on the best way to go about this? What are my chances? I know most people were busy during the day, but please help see to this tonight as i intend to visit the bank tomorrow morning. Thanks

Adetunji001:
Goodday house.... Hope everyone is doing great?
I got a mail from IRCC this morning requesting for mybankStatement for my sponsor.

Now this is my story, i applied in November with upfront medical, i sent mybankStatement for my own personal account but the normal paper statement for my sponsor (my sponsor transfered my fees into my account and it was highlighted in my SOP) . Then i got NSE request in January , requesting for IELTS alone. I wrote and submitted the IELTS. The good news is that the money is still in my account since November but I'm scared because my sponsor does not really have much in his account presently.
So i was thinking i should send mybankStatement for my account and sponsor and write an LOE.

Please, i need advices on the best way to go about this. Thanks all.

That school is costly

Hahah. Really. CAD13.7k Tuition is costly? Is deferential fees that made it reach 23k for 2year course. My profession took me there. So is ok for me.

Good morning
I am 17 years old
I want to use my dad as my sponsor
So I will be submitting a letter of consent from my mum
Please do I need to do an affidavit of consent or would just the letter would be enough?

Thanks in advance

Hello Lamideyy,

As a minor, what you need to include is the Custodian Declaration IMM 5646e form for minors. There is no harm for your mom including a consent letter as the application processing for minors are thoroughly considered due to child trafficking.

Before you file your application, ensure to have identify a guardian in Canada. If you've not identify one, speak to your DLI about it.

Hello Hoodboy,

Dual intent is recognized. EE and SP are two independent route with dissimilar requirements to be satisfied. However, the VO has the right to apply discretion when processing and having applications running through both route isn't a red flag.

You can use Wakanow for your booking.

Hello Kingsleybrave,

That's almost close to the settlement funds required for EE and the LE for SP. Think properly before entering any agreement.

Komeoby:
Hello everyone,
This is for a friend

She wants to pay her tuition so that she can use it for her application. Her brother wants to pay the tuition for her but her mom is her sponsor for her application.

Will this affect her application as it would be seen that the tuition is not paid by her mom from the bank statement submitted?

Can her brother pay her tuition even though her mom is her sponsor?

Thank you for this. Is Montreal your last stop? I will be stopping over in Montreal first, before going to St. John's after the mandatory quarantine.

My question now is how do we go about the flight to St. John's after the quarantine? Do I have to reschedule the flight for after 3 days?

Mami1:
Hello House,

I have been able to convert my booking from booking.com to mandatory quarantine booking.

If you are going to Montreal, you can do same, book then call the property on +1 514-636-3391 to convert your booking to mandatory quarantine booking.

Very fast and easy.

This information is for COMFORT INN, Dorval, Montreal. 300CAD per night, total of 1102.59

Might not be the cheapest cheapest, but it is a very good deal compared to the stress and money for other hotels.

Nova Scotia is my last stop. I will reschedule my reconnecting flight to Nova Scotia when I land in Montreal by God's grace.

I dont know how this option works o, but I am quite positive that it would work.
