I think it is better you go for kia rio 2009.

If you must go for honda civic, go for 2005 and avoid its 2007/08 because of electrical issues they normally have.

Go for the honda civic, it is easy to maintain and fuel efficient. You can also consider toyota matrix.

I will endorse civic first, practical rugged and easy to use.

Accord next though with the shaft thing she can avoid the accord as a first time car owner and as a lady.

The Rio is perfect just like the civic but with the nonsense temp gauge of dana spec (those bought brand-new in Nigeria) the vehicle would have overheat causing engine damage before the car will warn you. If she can get tokunbo from US with normal temp gauge then Rio it is.

if it passes quality inspection and is within your budget you can opt for it. But ensure you watch the car cooling system very well, fans, radiator, radiator hose, temp gauge to avoid stories that touch

If you check market prices for these cars you’d find out that they are almost the same. As I see it the Honda Accord should be most ‘value for your money’ purchase.

To checkmate the issue of its legs pulling out when driving then just go to ladipo and buy 3 tokumbo ball joints, take 2 of them to a mechanic, pay him to change/replace the two front wheels own and then throw the last one you bought into your boot.

From that moment on just budget to spend same amount of cash to do it all again after every 6 months of constant use to never experience such with the 03-07 Honda Accord.

The last one that stays in the boot is like your ‘get out of jail card’ grin in case you’re naughty to the car and forget to change its ball joints. So consider the accord if you can keep your naughty level in check when the using it

Thank you, but i have some questions i still learning how to drive, does that mean i have to be careful when turning or what
Civic is my first choice but seeing a good one with good engine for my budget has been difficult.

So i am left with honda accord which has a better reselling value than kia rio

You can go ahead and turn left oh, right oh, up oh or down anyhow you like so far as you remember to change the ball joints out with tokumbo ones after every 6 months of use. You will have nothing to worry about.

Try to find a unit with a good 4cylinder engine
