Icon4s: Who is the player given consistently A performances? I hope you are not talking of Vardy because no one is saying that. But when Vardy is not fit, Rodgers should be sane enough to give Nacho a run. 1 Like |

Matt of Foxestalk on Iheanacho. Understood, however when have we gave him a run in those 4 seasons? It's understandable why we're so reliant on Vardy but he's clearly unfit (Due to coming back from an operation) and when we persist with an unfit Vardy with all due respect we may aswell be playing with 10 men, we've gotta learn to become less reliant on Vardy, especially as unfortunately the inevitable is nigh. That said, hopefully Vardy is getting there because a fit Vardy + Sheff Utd = Goals and shithousery (Albeit no fans :thumbdown. I'm not saying Iheanacho is the answer or replacement but hes definetly an option and given the time, the confidence, I think he'll be a very good option. It's amazing how certain players seem to be played and persisted with even when it's not going for them but then other players we don't even give the chance of a run and a simply wrote off and frozen out, Iheanacho is somewhere in the middle bordering on the latter of that certainly over the 4 years. Horn Galloper of Foxestalk on Iheanacho I think he plays best whenslightly off the principal striker (Vardy). It was pointed out in the commentary last night, and on MOTD, how fruitful the Vards-Kelechi partnership has been. Vards however isn't scoring; Maddison and Barnes are out. Kelechi IS scoring goals - Fulham, Burnley and Brighton but the chances are that Rodgers will replace him as soon as Perez is fit again. Even last night he couldn't help thanking him by pulling him off. Rodgers is an excellent manager but his treatment of Iheanacho has been utterly capricious, last season as well as this season - seemingly intent on destroying his confidence by dropping or substituting him however well he performs. Given the support and encouragement of his manager, Kelechi could be a really good striker for us. God only knows why Rodgers has it in for him. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Osimhen had a good game today and napoli played to his strengths. Playing the ball for him to run at is one of his best strengths and napoli did it also, he should had scored another 3 Likes |

fabyom: See what this man is saying, "how many are quality goals" ? Really? What do you define as quality, so he should see a tap in goal and missed it? Or he has to wait for a quality goal and leave less quality goals? If Osimhen is the one that has scored 10 goals in Seria A this season, will you be differentiating his goals from one being a tap in or quality goal? What matters is "goals" as a striker and Simi delivered 10 goals in a team like Crotone so far. #Give him the accolade for that. 3 Likes |

Subzero047: Giving Osimhen a call up in the next Afcon qualifying match and neglecting Simy Nwankwo who had scored 10 goals in the same league would be a great Selection biased. You call his goals defensive mistakes and tap ins, lol Why is Osimhen not scoring from that? You guys keeps giving excuses that Seria A defense is very tight, but someone in the same league in one of the worst team in the league scored 10. Haba!! 2 Likes |

Tolulopefinest: Yeah... because the Super Eagles Number 1 striker position is determined by how many goals one has scored in 2020/21 Serie A season. This is why I tire for people here wey no sabi ball beyond stats numbers. They just keep dropping clangers. Simy over Osimhen?? Really?? 6 Likes 2 Shares

Tolulopefinest: Osimhen has had injuries problems how many full matches has he played, you don't judge footballers on stats alone maybe you would watch his full matches then get a full appraisal and know whether he's better than any of our options 1 Like |

Subzero047:You should know that 80% of a striker's goals comes from close encounters. Without being a good close range finisher, no matter what you play on the pitch, you will not rack up numbers. Osimhen has more pace, impact and skill than Simy, but the latter is a better finisher IMO. Despite Osimhen's injury excuse, he's blown away quite a number of clear scoring chances, while Simy has done well with less creativity coming from the team. |
