Exactly! We have seen this play out many times. Greenwood was just unlucky. I'm worried for Greenwood though. I have seen him many times try to force his way in the midst of many defenders inside the box when he should be looking up.

It has reduced recently. It is because he trusts that if he can get a shot off the keeper would be in trouble. He is now learning not to force things . He played very well in this last game. He, Shaw, Bruno, Maguire were our best players yesterday. He linked up the play very well against those giants in the crowded West Ham defense, created chances for others and was unlucky not to have scored hitting the post twice.
Imagine having a pass accuracy of 94.6% with 2 key passes as a striker in that crowded area..

Fred plays deeper and McTominay plays more advanced so Fred should normally have more passes cos he is the one meant to dictate play while McTominay does the forward running.

Having said that McTominay sometimes hides from passes in difficult areas because he doesn't trust his own technique while Fred sometimes makes himself available for passes he should not be making himself available for because he overrates his own technique.

Very true. And it's almost every time. It's good the players don't trust him in some situations, especially when he's in a dangerous position where he might be easily dispossessed.

In terms of the passing discrepancy it is a difference of 20 passes over the whole season but McTom makes up with the gap in terms of goals scored.

The truth is they are both not good enough for our goals and objectives. At least not as regular starters. They should both be squad rotation players.

He has got just 1year left on his deal. £15 to £25 million pounds should get the deal done. He has been a good servant for the club and also an academy graduate that has been part of the club since his pre-teens.

It's argued on the Super Eagles Thread, but to me nothing is wrong the way he celebrated. Is he selfish? I don't understand what Selfishness has to do with Goal Celebrations.

McTom in some Matches would play like a world class Midfielder, while in some as a complete Waste of Space. Both McTom and Fred ain't good enough as Starters, perhaps as Squad Players.

We need a solid DM, though Kessie Age is questionable, but I won't mind him at United. He's 24 on Paper, so he's not that old. He's comfortable on the Ball, strong, can easily connect Defence to Attack.

Kessie, Pogba and Bruno gonna be fantastic to watch. All can play long pass decisively and get eyes for Assists. Kessie as DM, Pogba as CM, while Bruno plays his usual AM.

They both have defensive duties but McTom has more license to move forward. This is obvious to everyone. I don't understand what you are arguing about.
When we play Matic and Fred, Matic stays back and Fred has more license but it does not mean Fred has no defensive responsibilities.

If you watch our games and you think McTom has no defensive responsibility i am happy for you.

I’m not asking him to worship anybody. But pointing towards the guy who has been tirelessly trying to assist you all game after you got a second goal (to make it 3-0), or some other form of recog, will increase your standing in the team.

The team should be above every individual player. Did you see how Jamie was happy he got the goals? The last goal, an own goal, was another effort at an assist from J. Vardy.

But that’s not what I mean by his selfishness. Kelechi’s 3rd goal was a shot from outside the 18-yard box . There were like 2-3 players running into positions he could give an assist to.

Team is cruising 3-0, you’ve got 2 already, why not allow others get on the scoresheet ?
