Have u read the bible from start to finish ?

U would just notice a change ....even the 12 found it hard to understand

Jesus never came for the whole world he came for the Jews ....but Paul broke that
I disagree. undecided

In Genesis, God had a plan to bless the world through the seed of Abraham. This plan was not realized as part of the Old Covenant since the Old Covenant was the realization of God's promise to Abraham, a separate idea from the idea/plan God had to bless the world through Abraham. undecided

Now, through His prophets God announced His new Plan to introduce a New Covenant to the same people of Israel. Recall that the prophets were not sent to the people of any other nation but to/on behalf of the nation of Israel, so the announcement was made to them that God was bringing to them a new Covenant. undecided

In came Jesus Christ, the New Covenant who was promised and sent to the people of Israel with whom Jesus Christ stayed with until His very end. But while He stayed with His people, He taught His disciples His truth as they walked about 3.5 years with Him. After His mission to the people of Israel was concluded, Jesus Christ, the Son of God(essentially God Himself) sent the disciples out into the world(the Gentile world off course) to take the plan into the world, fulfilling the plan which God made back in Genesis.

Of course the 12 found it hard to do. They were not learned men and so where not prepared to leave their traditional Jewish ways to enter into the world of the Gentiles. They were raised all their lives among Jews to believe that Gentiles were dogs and unclean and unworthy. undecided
They hesitated at first by eventually made it into the world. I read a story of Andrew going as far as the country of Georgia. Another one of the disciples, Thomas is claimed to have been killed in India. undecided

They were humans but they definitely did go to spread the Gospel to the world just as Jesus Christ commanded of them. undecided

Every fvcking message from Genesis to revelation is fvcking important! Fvcking important!!!! Dont take half and leave half
If you like have all the love and faith you can conjure up for yourself in the world, if it is not in obedience to the very teachings of Jesus Christ, it all amounts to nothing at the end of your stay on this planet. undecided

The unbelievers also have love and they too have faith.. Does that mean they are right with God? undecided

Jesus came for all mankind but since he hadn't died on the cross we weren't saved only the Jews but before he died he said one thing to His disciples "go into THE WORLD and preach the gospel" so that's why Paul preached to everyone
I am afraid what you believe there is a lie. undecided

Pick up your Bible to read for yourself one day so you learn the Truth of God aside from the doctrines and rules you have been fed by men. undecided

Jesus Christ Himself did tell you that He came for the lost sheep of Israel.. So did Jesus Christ lie? undecided

Jesus Christ's mission to the lost sheep of Israel was completely when He died on the cross, and after He rose, He sent His disciples into the rest of the world, to teach them to obey the same New Covenant He had brought to them and thought them while they walked with Him. undecided

You are misinformed if you believe that Paul is the only disciple who preached to the Gentiles. If you read widely, you will read that Andrew is suggested to have reached as far as the country of Georgia with the Gospel, and Thomas- there is reason to believe He may have died somewhere in India. While Paul stayed mostly within the Roman world, the other disciples were also sent out by the Spirit of God to far away places, even Africa.

Nothing different between the two
However, Jesus'message was direct to the people which connects the Trinity while pauls message dwells on the the baground already laid by Jesus.

Therefore the contents is same only that one lay the baground and one builds . certainly foundation is different from roofing but same building, that's what you're trying to point out
I am afraid you lie when you claim there is no difference between the two. Jesus Christ is the truth of God therefore all the doctrines and rules give you by Paul that do not have correlations Truths in the teachings of Jesus Christ are lies, and this according to Jesus Christ Himself.

And there are numerous examples of them.

It is true that there are glaring differences between Pauline and Christ's teachings but it is not because the Bible is progressively revelatory as you claim.

Jesus was a Jewish carpenter from Nazareth. Paul was an urbane well read Roman citizen. The outlook and interpretation of both, the first revealing the scripture, the other repackaging it for a wider pagan audience must be acknowledged.

I can refer you to other explanations if you are interested.
I am afraid the Bible is not "progressively revelatory" as you claim.

Those differences in teachings are what Jesus Christ Himself warned His followers against submitting to, calling them lies that are meant to deceive and to destroy the souls of those who adopt them. undecided

Why would Jesus Christ spend so much time warning against the doctrines and traditions(commandments) of men if according to you, His truth is meant to be "progressively revelatory" ? undecided

Pls ,I refer you to john 14 -25 as quoted by d op

Jesus Christ was born under the law and so his teaching and ministration was done under the law

Shalom
Wrong! Your assumptions about the Old Covenant and the concept of grace have absolutely nothing to do with this topic.

Open it to Matthew 25 vs 31-46. There Jesus Christ Himself informs you that your righteousness will be measured by your works on earth. undecided

So where did Jesus Christ, the Truth of God, tell you that after He does, everything He taught you will become meaningless? undecided

Looking at the first two examples you gave, there's no difference. When Jesus was still here, his teachings were purely to the father who sent him on a mission. Now, Paul on the other hand was always referring to Jesus. As of the time of Paul, Christ had risen and his death signified forgiveness of our sins.

The second example, Jesus gave conditions to be saved but Paul said, believe in Jesus Christ. So if you believe in Jesus Christ, you also will have to know and keep to his teachings.

There's no contradiction anywhere here

Denying the Truth of God does not make you godly. It instead means you are willing to lie even with the Truth of God right in front of your very eyes. grin

You need Holy Spirit to teach you how to read and understand,Apostle Paul did not preach against want Jesus preached, let me use your first case as an example,if you read it well you will understand that Paul is telling them to forgive each as God do forgive us,if you didnt forgive each other,100% God will not forgive you, remember want Christ said on the cross,Father forgive them because they didnt no what they are doing,if CHRIST didnt forgive then the His pain on the cross will go in vain.

When Jesus Christ started teaching His disciples, they dd not have the Spirit of God and some of them could not en reading at all. So this lie that you need this and that to understand the teachings of Jesus Christ is not of God. undecided

The Gospels are written in human language, not by angels, but by ordinary men, in human speak, and all you need is basic human language comprehension skills to understand what Jesus Christ taught. undecided

Jesus Christ even said something curious. He commands that you begin by using the understanding you have, and He will aid you if you need more. But when you refuse to use the little / basic comprehension skills you have in learning His Truth, He will take even that away from you so you will not know the Truth when you see it. undecided

hello!
There are difference in what Jesus thought the Jews and the Pharisees(people practicing Judaism and not Christianity) as at the time he was yet to be crucified when there was nothing like Christianity on earth, with what Paul thought Christians after Christ resurrected.

So, understand the time difference.
The former was still at the era of the old covenant(no grace) even though Christ was present physically, while the later was the era of the new covenant full of grace
There are no differences between what Jesus Christ taught His Jewish followers and His Gentile followers. undecided

Jesus Christ fulfilled the Old Covenant Law on behalf of those Jews who would want to follow Him while, so why would He have had to the again create a separate set of laws for them? undecided

Why would He, the New Covenant, create separate agreements within Himself for the Jewish and then for the Gentiles when He came to remove all separation and make us all one, Sons of God? undecided

By your very claim,, you suggest that there is racism in the Kingdom of Heaven. This because you dont want to admit there indeed exists discrepancies between the doctrines taught by Paul and that taught us by our Master Jesus Christ? undecided

I hate it when people think they can use logic to read and understand the bible without the help of the Holy spirit doing that is like trying to operate the android phone without the android os or driving a car from the passenger's seat.

The holy spirit wrote the Bible so how do you think you will understand his book without him. Doing such leads you to jump yo foolish conclusions like the OP jumped to.
Is God not the one who designed and built that machine you call a brain? Why are u afraid to use it when processing the Truth of doctrines and commandments of men that are fed you against the very teachings of God? undecided

Do you think God goes "I am proud of you" when you say thinks like you dont use the understanding you have in processing what you are fed to know if it belongs to God or not?

Jesus Christ commanded His followers to use the understanding they have in figuring out what is right and what is wrong. He said those who refuse to use what they have will loose it and to those who have not, more will be given them. undecided

"You have logic..use it." undecided

Jesus teaching was before his death. He operated under the law to set us free from the curse of the law.

The Apostles' teachings are all the same, no contradiction.

Their teachings was based on the era of Grace. Jesus teachings was to prepare and usher in that era.

The death of Jesus put an end to the Law.

If you read your Bible so well, you would have known all these quotations.
I am afraid you are lost as far as the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven is concerned. undecided

Jesus Christ taught His teachings to uneducated poor people who did not have the Spirit of God, and they heard and learned His truth. undecided

The same Truth is preserved for you to read in the 4 Gospels, and all you need is your basic human languagee comprehension skills to learn what is written there by human hands in himan language for the education of humans. Yet many of you refuse to read claiming it is not clear. undecided

Jesus Christ is the Word of God. So if the words attributed to Paul does not match the Word of God, then Paul's words are not the Word of God.

Some of you just want to create topics to spar with fellow religious intellectuals. Not because things are not clear enough.

Paul studied at the feet of christ. A very humble servant at that. His intro to every chapter does not fail to aknowledge this. Of all the likeness to draw,(meekness, forgiveness, love compassion, wisdom, truth, hope, faith). you only spot the few contracdictions that one can even owe to translations. you just want to start arguments. Funny thing Paul spoke of your kind. Men who long to be seen as teachers. They are about things that are likely to bring disputes than things that foster more unity in the body.

Paul teachings are the same as christ teachings. That's were the argument begins and ends..no further opening.
Paul never studied at the feet of Jesus Christ...He was not one of the 12 disciples . undecided

Also, many of the teaching in pauls letters today contradict the teachings of Jesus Christ while some others are not even based on the Truth of Jesus Christ's teachings. undecided

Jesus Christ never commanded you to believe in the words of anyman but Himself to begin with. So if all you believe in just what is written in the 4 Gospels, you will in fact enter into Heaven is you obey. He did not send His followers to read doctrines and traditions of men in addition to His teachings -He commanded against the adoption of such "lies", He called them undecided

U got it right, Jesus was talking to the Jews who were under the law and who felt that they had done enough under the law. So he was trying to show them that no man can by his own works under the law be justified so he gave them the same law but in it's fullness, and by doing so showed them that no one can actually keep the laws in totality . But after he died on the cross the new dispensation of the church started and grace became available with Jesus as the object of our faith ,so Paul was Telling us that we are no longer justified by works as under the old law but rather by faith in the finished work that Jesus did on the cross and to walk /work in this new knowledge.

Again, the idea that you are not under Law in Jesus Christ is erroneous. Jesus Christ is the New Covenant/Law that God made with you and under this agreement, you are indeed expected to accept and obey the terms of the agreement if you plan to enter into Heaven. undecided

Your integration of what Paul said is in direct conflict with the very teaching/commandment of Jesus Christ Himself. undecided
