Whatever conflict is smouldering right now should be held at a civil level involving proper policing and the application of the criminal justice system equitably and efficiently before it conflagrates into violence and social disorder.

Every conflict the military is involved in today HAD A WINDOW OF CIVIL RESOLUTION at aime point in time but was either rejected or not recognised.

The Nigerian government must learn to 'stoop to conquer', negotiate to have its authority respected and must recognise that ot will not always get all it wants. The system of democracy is one of constant negotiations and compromises for the ultimate goal of national stability and progress.
