Religion / The Mystery Of Vanity by pressplay411(m): 4:56pm On Jul 07, 2019
The quest for fame and fortune (worldliness) drives us to ungodliness.
It's unfortunate that no matter how much people hear and read this, they will still keep chasing fame and fortune. It's a paradoxical conundrum motivated by man's insatiability and egocentricity. What the scriptures aptly describes as Lust of the eyes, Lust of the flesh and Pride of Life.

The force/spirit of Lust is the greatest force/spirit contending against the Spirit of God.

Once one overcomes lust by submitting to Christ, you experience a Peace of Mind incomprehensible, that derives from being driven by the Spirit of Love (Agape) and Meekness. You experience Contentment.
This is what gives Rest to the Soul.
Until the human soul is at rest, the person may physically have it all but experience intermitent bouts of sadness and depression inexplicable, overtaken by heaviness of living. For it is only Christ who gives that Rest.

Matthew 11:28-29
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

"I took a pill in Ibiza" by Mike Posner is one of my favorites songs. I loved it as an unbeliever and still find it interesting listening to it because it captures the fast life and its vanity. I used to chase that.
It's not only entertainment industry but life generally.

"I will always love you" simply captures the rollercoaster of love outside Love (God is Love.)
Until one loves God wholeheartedly, you can't know how to love yourself and others. Unbelievably true.
Which is why the golden and ultimate rule of the bible is Love.

So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’
Luke 10:27

It's one thing to know and even agree that indecent dressing is bad.
It's another thing to know what qualifies as indecent dressing.
It's ultimately another thing to choose to dress decently.
So many ladies agree that indecent dressing is bad. But unfortunately, perhaps due to "pop culture", they have no idea that their idea of decent dressing is in fact indecent dressing.

It's become rather difficult to define decent dressing.
But for anyone who has purposed to dress decently, she will find that thin fine line called "fashionable and decent."
Religion / Indecent Dressing- An Appeal To Ladies by pressplay411(m): 10:41pm On Jul 02, 2019
Musings:
It's difficult to explain to ladies how indecent dressing instigates sexual immorality, and even rape.
How do you explain to a lady that Men speak Mars, but Women speak Venus.
How do you explain that men are Visual-centric and women Audio-centric.
We are wired different, hence we see things different.

She says it's "just some skin."
How does one explain to her?
That the man is not seeing "just some skin" but the object of his lust!

Yes, granted Men should have some measure of Self-Control, but all we ask is that you "Please, make it a little less difficult for us."

You make me wonder that Fatoy judged others and is now being judged. See what happened to the 'false accuser' of TBJ, whom I'm reticent about but who seems to be immensely wise. I bet you accusers of Adeboye or Oyedepo would be torn to bits by us same people. Surely, if Fatoy had walked a righteous path and not one of iniquity, Dakolo and his two other accusers would not have had the ground to stand on.

If Fatoy is righteous, let him take comfort from Job. Judged is he, by public opinion.

It's a convoluted mess some times.

I later understood during my dealing on Judgment, that just like other words in the bible, a lot happens in translation. Judges are also leaders/rulers/teachers.
We should be able to differentiate where the word "Judge" is used in the context of Leading/teaching/ruling and where it is used as Criticizing.

Religion / About Judgment- COZA Scandal by pressplay411(m): 3:32pm On Jul 02, 2019
This is rather awkward for me to share in the middle of the trending rape allegation and the reaction of believers. However, it is my duty to share as I am led.
I have been rather conflicted within me for the following reasons.

-Every Rape victim deserves our support.
-Alleged Rapists should however be given a fair hearing.
-The Pastor in question truly looks the part and has a history, however unproven.
-Sensitivity to distractive measures of the adversary.

Hence, I have shared a somewhat middle stance in the course of this news, although condemning Rape and deification of Pastors, I have tried (difficult as it is) to avoid directly condemning the pastor in question.

When God dealt with me on Judgment, It was a very humbling and unveiling season in my life.
And it was primarily with the account of Miriam and Aaron judging Moses for what they perceived an error he committed.
God's judgment was fearful and personal. Numbers 12.

Just when I tried to brush it aside as being an old testament judgement "thing", the Holy Spirit led me further.
He showed me how God frowns so hard on judgment, as Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ shares a deeper understanding of why God frowns on it and its direct impact on our lives whenever we judge one another.

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. Matthew 7:2

I didn't understand it until I experienced it. The measure it was measured back to me for judging even a fellow brethren was humbling. It happened in a way that the situation I found myself, I could not but fall due to my illness. Thank God it was a relatively benign judgment.

On Sunday, after a nap, I woke up with a name- Dinah. I had to go and study on it. She was the only daughter of Jacob. She was like wise a rape victim.
Her brothers Simeon and Levi being vengeful took her course to hand and in retaliation they meted out judgment on both Shechem (the rapist) and His townsmen. Genesis 34.
Great brothers right? Wrong.
Their Father would later curse them for this action. A curse that Levi was only delivered from when they became Consecrated for God by choosing to stand on the LORD's side.

When I probed further to search for the the meaning of the name Dinah, it intriguingly means Judgement.
Shockingly amazing right?

The ripple effect of judgment is unpredictable. A lot of problems people are facing may directly or indirectly be connected to judgement.
Pastors judging brethren, brethren judging pastors, brethren judging fellow brethren, Parents judging children, children judging parents and intriguingly, Nigerians judging the President (our Kings/Masters). I will, if God permits share more details as time goes on.

I will leave you to personally study on Judgment. Please don't just take my word for it.
We should hold the Pastor accountable but be careful not to judge. More importantly, we should fearfully repent and ask for forgiveness, while we let the law take its course.
It is a very thin line between Accountability and Judgment.

*Money-Wise*

Money is a very important instrument to everyone, including believers.
Sometimes one of the hardest part of a believer's faith is parting with our hard-earmed money.
Sometimes we need to remind ourselves why we ought to give.
-We do not give grudgingly.
-We do not give selfishly.
-We do not give by manipulation.

-We give in obedience and faith.
-We give in appreciation and understanding that all we have belongs to God and He is our Provider.
-We give because we are saved to save others.
-We give because God first gave to us- our Lives and our Salvation through Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, and He continues to give to us.

Tithes & Offering- A Covenant Seed.
Bring all the tithes into the storehouses, that there may be food in My house, and try me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10

Liberality- Generosity is the nature of God.
A closed hand can neither receive. We ought to cultivate a habit of giving, both to God's kingdom work and also to anyone in need. God makes His Grace abound when we do this. 2 Corinthians 9:1-15

Hospitality- Entertain strangers.
Who knows when even an Angel may visit. Abraham's hospitality to Angels, earned him God's promised child. Genesis 18:1-14, Matthew 25:37-40

Honour Leaders- A labourer is worthy of his reward. Give to those who sow sacrificially into the salvation of your soul. If you honour a prophet, you get a prophet's reward. Matthew 10:41-42

Fulfill Your Family Responsibilities-
Your family should reflect and benefit of God's glory in your life. Don't be an infidel. 1 Timothy 5:8

Save And Invest- Give to yourself too.
Cultivate a disciplined saving habit and investment also. Don't eat it all.
Joseph became a father to Pharaoh in Egypt because of God's Grace on Him. One of which was his ingenuity in saving in the rainy day and having more than enough in the drought. Genesis 45:8

Your apparent phobia for Freeze would make you blind to any good thing he says or does.

For later you'd use the excuse "he attacked the Bible."

You apparently have abandoned your bible for far too long. Everywhere the devil tempted man, he sounded nice and innocent.
Study from the temptation of Eve, compare with the temptations of Christ both in the Wilderness and through Apostle Peter.
Then come to our present age, the Grace gospel that has been made to entice men that there's nothing like sin anymore as Christ destroyed sin once and for all.

You should be very sensitive to the modus operandi and wiles of Satan. Because that's the only way you can help yourself by identifying wolves in sheep clothing.

FirePower1:
Grace is the Word of God spoken to man that makes him different from animals and rule other creatures. Grace is God's love to mankind expressed in His Word. Grace is like lecture, when we take Him seriously, He is sufficient for us to pass all life examinations. Man never deserved his position in creation, he enjoys that privilege purely because that is the plan of God. David expressed this very well when after meditation he exclaimed "what is man the thou hath mindful of him?". Now, Grace is a He. He is the mind of God, He is the desire of God revealed to man, He is the manual for human lives, He is the Bible and He is Jesus Christ, in Him is Life and the Life is the Light of men. He was spoken to Adam (mankind) in the beginning but the devil was able to make Adam disregard Him. God decides to give us the second and better chance so the Word became flesh (like us) and dwell amongst us (accessible to us). Grace (The Word of God) is all we need in life, every other need is domicile in Him. Grace has two major parts, they are; blessing part (thou may freely eat of the fruit of the garden) and sanctification part (but of the tree that is in the middle if the garden, thou shall not eat). One part is invalid without the other part. Many of us only want God to bless us but we don't want to be under Him, but Grace is not for selfishness, it is for godliness (another word for self denial). Those who are lured, deceived or threatened into turning their backs on Grace automatically are faced with disgrace and shame sometimes without knowing it until God shows up at the dawn of the new day and all the counsel of the devil that seems to be covering their unclothedness are found to be inadequate. Please have active faith in the Grace of God and enjoy everlasting life. God bless you.

Well said.
God's part is Grace. Our part is Faith.
More Grace and Faith to you and us all.

Religion / Re: What Is Grace? by pressplay411(m): 6:20am On Jun 02, 2019
jesusjnr:
The word grace from the gospel perspective means two different things:

1. The Spirit of God

2. The second chance of God.

Now the first was what God had spoken to apostle Paul about, when he told him "my grace is sufficient for you", for it is similar to His saying "it's not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit".

Therefore God was actually telling Paul to be more dependent on His Spirit and not on his own personal ability or knowledge to carry out the task that He'd saddled him with, for as He also said "my strength is made perfect in weakness", and God's strength is the capacity of His Spirit.

Then grace in the second sense is the window that God created for the righteous and obedient descendants of Adam to enable them escape the eternal damnation of his disobedience which they inherited from him being his seed.

Therefore the idea is for the righteous and the obedient not to suffer the consequence of another man's (Adam) decisions or actions having shown that they would have done things differently had they been in man shoes.

So it was meant to help them make their obedience and righteousness good and eternal life worthy, as if to wipe the slate clean and start afresh from the beginning, so that by doing what God commanded them to do, they would not perish as man did but have eternal life.

So that's the huge job God grace had done for mankind, to give them the same opportunity that man had in the beginning, without the condemnation of any other person's actions upon their own head, for Adam didn't inherit the consequence of any other person's disobedience but only lost his eternal life because of his.

So in a sense because of God's grace, if they would be punished, it wouldn't be for Adam's sins(Disobedience) which Jesus died for, but for their own sins(disobedience) just as Adam himself was punished for his own sins(disobedience).

So in a nut shell that's what Grace, the second chance of God, has made available to the descendants of Adam.

Well said, that's also right.
Everything we have in Grace is supplied through the Spirit of God and is another chance given to us undeservedly.

My definitions were also derived from the different contexts Grace is used scripturally. Do check the scriptures I referenced.

Adam is a sinner who deserves to die{Genesis 3:19} so all his children are doomed for life to continue dying and their age limit diminishing! Psalms 49:7-12 Romans 5:12
So for God to have taken the step to redeem Adam's children in order to restore them back to his first plan for Adam which is living forever, it's kindness NOT deserved or GRACE!
God's good plans is for OBEDIENT children of DISOBEDIENT Adam, whoever remains disobedient amongst Adam's descendants can't attain to that special favour!
So we don't deserve all what God is doing to redeem us,therefore we need to show appreciation for his undeserved kindness{GRACE}
That only saving grace is to IDENTIFY his only begotten son who will teach us how to please his father well { John 3:16-18} Jesus laid down the principles and handed it over to few faithful Jews whom he gave the task to go and TEACH all other people! Matthew 28:20
Satan is determined to complicate issues by establishing different kinds of religion all in the name of Jesus{God's son} This will make it difficult for both obedient and arrogant descendants of Adam to know exactly what Jesus taught which is the only saving grace! That is why Satan made sure that all the pioneers of Jesus' teachings were killed but before then they had penned everything down for OBEDIENT individuals to know all that their Master, Lord and King taught them. Revelations 12:17
Today there are many religious groups teaching people what is common traditions of men, but Jesus' true followers are in the neighbourhood ready to teach us the bitter truth that's not according to man's tradition which have been manipulated countless times by Satan! So everywhere people see them, they hate them because their teachings is not in tune with common human traditions! John 17:14-16
While the GRACE is for all, it will only benefit those who are able to IDENTIFY Jesus' true followers whom an ancient prophet called JEWS in a spiritual sense! Zachariah 8:23
That is why another prophet said salvation of many is dicey! Zephaniah 2:2-3 compared to Luke 13:24
Thanks!

How Satan corrupted the gospel of Grace is astounding. He truly is crafty and divisive.

You are right that you and I are the church, for I believe we represent the true church, but in terms of the apparent church even what is observed as the church by men, that it hardly reflects the true church that we are and represent.

Therefore that's the church I often refer to when I speak about the church, for it's the apparent church i'm talking about, for there used to be a time when the apparent church meant the same thing as the true church, but not as we speak for the apparent church has deviated from that and now become more or less the false church even though it started as the true church.

But from the knowledge I have be entrusted with the true church is coming back as it was in the beginning when it was the apparent church, so all these efforts form part of the process towards achieving that as you can see the true Word being sown as it was in those days, so bro the harvest is inevitable.

Therefore it is going happen as it was in those days, for when you have the same quality of Word sown, which would result in the harvest of same quality of obedience, sacrifice, love etc., expect the same quality of the Spirit and you know the implications of that, yeah, the mighty Works of God are coming with a fury.

So you're right bro it's gonna happen like it has never happened since the beginning of the church, for the problem has always been man's part, never God's part, for God is always ready.

And God told me recently that my part is the hard part, but that I've done it, so it's His part which is the easy part that's left.

And I know it's only moments away, so it behoves us to get ourselves and the people hearts ready for what I think is the last move of God that would take place before the second coming of Christ.

Have a Spirit-filled day.

Amen.
Same to you.

Identity Crisis- Know Thyself
===========================
Before my salvation or rededication to Christ, I became an atheist.
I operated my life on a mishmash of principles and ideologies. Some scientific, some philosophical, some psychological, some Hollywood, some horoscopical and some cultural.
The hardest part was I had to start extenuating myself from these belief systems. I had to begin to renew my mind by replacing them and transforming my mindset with the Word of God.

Why did I bring this up?
Even as an unbeliever, something helped me a lot. An understanding of my identity as a terrestrial being (flesh). Because I came to understand myself as a man, I could operate without religion.
The most significant part of it was knowing my dual nature as a Cusp. Also an understanding of my Temperaments. It helped me manage myself and to understand and manage others too.

Where am I getting at?
Until a believer understands His Identity as a New Creation, he would be tossed to and fro.
Until you understand that you're a triune being (3 in 1) in Christ, you won't be able to Develop your Spirit, Renew your Mind and Discipline your Flesh. That the WHOLE of you may be presented blameless before God. 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Please, Christianity is Discipleship of Christ.
Join the Foundation Classes in your church. Without a good foundation, there's nothing strong to build the structure upon.
It is also a test of Humility. And Grace abounds in Humility.

Knowledge with Understanding is Power and Deliverance. That is what produces the Wisdom of God in Man.

Our definition/understanding of Grace determines what it can make out of us.
Grace, like every other identity of God is multifaceted.

-There's a dimension of Grace that is defined as God's Unmerited Favour. Ephesians 2:8
-There's another dimension of Grace that is defined as Access to God's unlimited provisions and supplies. 2 Corinthians 9:8
-There's yet another dimension of Grace which is defined as the Enablement of God to become like Christ. Titus 2:11-12

Those who only define Grace as Unmerited Favour can easily be misled to think they can continue in sin as Grace abounds. But in the words of Apostle Paul, God Forbid.

Those who define Grace as Access to God's unlimited provisions and supplies tend to be easily misled with the gospel of prosperity (financial, money)

Those who define Grace as Enablement for Christ-likeness more often than not tend to be self-righteous.

But those who define Grace in the Light of all three definitions walk in the Wholeness of the Manifestation of Grace.

Grace truly is the Unmerited Favour of God that gives us Access to the All-sufficiency of God through the blood of Jesus Christ and supplies us with the enablement to be like Christ for the establishment of God's Kingdom and Righteousness.

Grace and Understanding to us all.

Question: But How can I forgive someone who has done so much evil to me? How can I forgive someone who continues to hate me and plan evil against me?

Answer: I have come to know through scriptures and preachings, that no, it is not that person that is hurting you, it is not that person that is doing this evil against you.
It is the devil. It is the evil inside man that makes him commit evil. It is the sinful nature that has overtaken the person. Your enemy is that Devil, that evil spirit. Your enemy is Satan.
Stop fighting the wrong enemy. That person you have taken as your enemy is a potential evangelist, a potential child of God, a potential brother and sister, a potential agent of light. He only needs to encounter Christ or re-encounter Christ afresh.
When this mindset is formed in you. You will become enburdened to fight the good fight of faith. You will receive the spirit of an intercessor. Instead of anger, you will love your so called "enemies" And you will begin to pray for the salvation of their souls.
If and only if you yourself have encountered the Salvation of Christ.

However, beware of Tares, some people are agents of Satan himself planted to pull you out from Christ.
Be sensitive.
Let God guide you. Let Love Lead you. Love wins always. Even if it seems that Love does not win physically, it wins spiritually and ultimately.

The death of Christ which seemed like a colossal loss to the disciples initially, was ultimately for them and us all to receive the Holy Spirit and Experience the Salvation Power of God as Christ now lives through us, as many who believe.
Halleluyah!

Forgive and be Forgiven. Live, Love and Worship.
Happy New Month of June friends.

I urge us to each let go of every national anger, racial, tribal and religious hatred and family feuds.
Some of us have to forgive our parents.
Some of us have to forgive our children.
Some of us have to forgive our spouses.
Some of us have to forgive our exes and friends that betrayed us.
Some of us have to forgive our bosses.
Some of us have to forgive our colleagues and subordinates.
Some of us have to forgive our pastors.
Some of us have to forgive our congregation.
Some of us have to forgive the Church as a Body of Christ and return to the gathering of saints.
Some of us have to forgive ourselves personally by experiencing the Power of the Mercies of God. When God forgives you, no matter what you may have done, no matter the seemingly unforgivable evil you committed, because of the Blood of Jesus Christ, you will be forgiven.

Unforgiveness will only continue to make us bitter and it steals our joy and peace of mind.

To Forgive is one of the hardest things to do.
It is not simply a confession of the mouth. It is from the heart. You must relive the memory that hurt you and then choose to let it go.
True Forgiveness feels like surgery, you will feel a part of you literally leave you.
Let go and Let God win in your heart.
Let Love Lead.

All over the scriptures, Christ points at unforgiveness as the major obstacle to our prayers.

Let us search ourselves, let us search our hearts, search our past, our present and future (plans to revenge).
Every grudges and malice, every hurt we have failed to let go of, is a weight that has continued to drag us back. It is a poison that's eating our souls.

Let us enter this month of June on a clean slate.
Let us start this new season conscious and intentional that we will not allow any seed of unforgiveness, bitterness, hardened heart, envy and hatred that the enemy has sown in our hearts to impede our growth, our peace, our joy and our blessing.

I release myself from every anger, every envy, every grudge, every person that has hurt me.
I repent and pray for forgiveness from everyone that I've hurt.
I repent from every sin and iniquity that I have committed and associated with, and I pray for the grace, strength and mindset not to go back to sin.
And I pray for forgiveness from God through the blood of Jesus Christ, My Lord and Saviour, My Redeemer. I ask for God's Mercy to extend to me and every repentant heart in Jesus name.

We choose your ways LORD, we live by your Righteousness LORD, we choose to delight and obey your commands for only you have the Word of Eternal Life. Teach us to live according to Your Will, for your Kingdom and Righteousness to be established on earth as it is in Heaven. In Jesus name I pray.
Amen.

What's the truth in all these?
This is why we need a sound police force and investigators.

Sex is for married people alone for a lot of reasons, another is that sex is a major distraction in life. The day you have sex, you make yourself vulnerable to the other gender. Sex begins to drive you instead of being driven by purpose.
Also before you had sex, you had some measure of self control. After you've had sex, you lose it. It's just a matter of meeting your type or having urges and you lose your senses again.

Please do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases. Songs of Solomon 2:7b

Good points. Lack of contentment due to comparisons.
