If you do have access to travelling outside Nigeria, here is a biz I think you can consider.

Buying and Selling of Rough Diamonds in South Africa.
How it works: If you can get a South African Visa 3 months, I'm sure return flights are less than N120k this days, I help you source for the stones in Zimbabwe. What I consider an appropriate capital should be $4,000 to buy the stones. My supplier brings in the stones to SA, you pay, I help you sell the stones, and I get paid commission from the final sale. The stones bought for $4,000 can be sold at $15,000 or more.  We should be able to run two trips in a month, and I'm sure cost of living(accommodation and feeding) will be just about $1,500, and lets put travelling expenses at $2,500, Now you'll be spending about $8,000, and if we run two trips you'll be making a total of $30,000. My commission is 20% of final sale which is $6000, you'll be left with $24,000. you travel back to Nigeria, and I' sure we can always run it on a quarterly basis(Its safer that way)

I have been privileged to live in South Africa for three years now, and I must say that there are a lot of business opportunities still lying to be tapped in this country.

Some of these opportunities include:

1. Sale of Mobile telephone(Not Chinese phones PLEASE)
I notice that prices of phones that can be used with all networks are very expensive. E.g I bought my Nokia E63 for N32k when I was home in December, dats just about R1,600, but the cheapest you'll get the phone in SA is R2,600. I'm sure if you can sell urs at R2,200, u'll still make a kill in profits.

2. Investment in buying and selling of rough diamonds
This I started this year, and believe me its a killer profit business. For now, I buy the stones from Zimbabwe, and sell in Johannesburg. One thing I must warn beforehand is that, the normal rule says you must be licenced before you can engage in this business, but the licenced guys don't have access to stones, and the buyers are highly in demand. So there is a BIG gap to fill in terms of demand.
