Nairaland / General / Re: Enugu Massacre : S/east Senators Call For Emergency SE/SS Summit by princelyjesse: 8:07am On Apr 28, 2016
mcmaurice20:
from Okoli Sunday

THE South East Senate Caucus yesterday warned
against what it termed imminent danger and possible
attack on the unity of Nigeria if the Federal
Government fails to urgently address the Enugu
massacres by the marauding Fulani herdsmen.
Rising from an emergency meeting in Abuja yesterday,
the Senators not only condemned the attack, which left
over 50 persons dead and scores driven out of their
homes, they also called for a summit of South East and
South South State Governors, members of National and
State Houses of Assembly, Socio-Cultural associations,
traditional rulers and major stakeholders immediately.
In a statement by Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Abia
South after the meeting, the emergency summit was
put in place to review and evaluate the very scary
situation and profer a coordinated response that would
ensure the security of lives and properties of their
people.
According to the caucus, the summit became
imperative against the background of the ominous
silence and apparent indifference of the presidency
over the killings in Enugu, some areas in Delta state
and so many other zones in recent time even when
there was obvious intelligence reports.
The statement read, “We can no longer sit and watch
while our people are daily slaughtered like fowls
without even attracting the cursory routine
condemnation by the Presidency.
“We are even more appalled that despite the alarm
raised by the Uzo Uwani Communities of an imminent
attack by the fulani herdsmen and the associated
vague assurances by the Chairman of Fulani
community in Enugu that such attack will not happen,
yet the security agencies failed to prevent the attack
that happened two days after the alarm.
“It is disheartening what is happening and somebody
has to take responsibility. That somebody has to be the
institution of the Presidency of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria.”
I strongly condemn the act. I see it as a southern version of the boko haram. they just can't say boko haram because our mode of education has been Western from the beginning. they are going to come out with a name soon to continue their quest.
we should address this issue from this view " Fulani or Northern Supremacy. it is in quest of the Hausa Fulani's to conquer Nigeria to the Atlantic ocean to complete their masters desire who was killed in auchi.
now that they have spread into the south close to the ocean under the disguise of nomadic agriculture commonly called cattle rearing and their kinsman at the top of affairs of the state of Nigeria, they have chosen to act now after he got us into the Islamic state against terrorism signed recently in Saudi Arabia. but is really against terrorism or it for terrorism because to many thing are coming to my head right and I don't want to believe they are so but I can't help it.
so my brothers, we should stand for one another against this buhari's move against the state and people of Nigeria.
think about how he has been silent on this matter and how his kinsman are now armed with assault rifles and brandishing them.
they no longer carry stick meant for Shepard.

GoodWife:

I beg to differ. I am a woman and I think that it is the responsibility of women to cook. If you are a working wife, yes your hubby can help but pls ladies, don't tell them to go and cook themselves. Anybody that does not want to cook for her husband should stay in her parents house eee. Please don't get married.

Go and learn how to cook now before it is too late. Women liberation no reach for this one eee.

let me add to your name or change it. U are virtuous woman.
as a woman is good in the kitchen that how she is on bed. QED.

I think it's high time nigerian men become civilized.

Nobody is born with a pot and pan, men should also be able to cook, that's why everyone studied economics and cooking classes in school.
shame shame is what I will say to you.

Ladytemi:

Could not have said it any better. The worth of a woman does not rely only on her ability to cook, there is nothing wrong with you cooking for yourself.
so so sorry ladytemi. what worth is a woman who can not make for husband good cook. is it to have sex or to support with money? you got it wrong my sister. the topic here is cooking. and the other two I mentioned sex and money, women can't do better. sex, those women that can not cook can not satisfy him with sex too and they are greedy with money.
so tell me what's their worth? they lost it from home while still with their mother.
if your mother was good cook, you will be one also. and if you're, you will agree with me that while in the kitchen with mummy, some vital conversation ensure between daughter and mother about her future home and mother at those point becomes girls with their daughter and any conversation and question can come up make the daughter a better girl, woman and wife.
A woman who can not cook good food, lost that part or maybe mummy also na yaye fowl. sorry to have used that language.
love you cheesy

Techno ! sounds like one of the horrible hurricane in US.
why is there so much hate about this name tecno, can you make one? i think tecno has help us bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.
today, many africans can be online on the move with tecno in their hands. is that not something to comend tecno for? come on, see, i can tell you that this phone called N7, is tecnos' foundation to its' tablet. for i see this phone N7 as a phablet, a prelude to tecno first tablet.
