Politics / Division In Imo Apc by Princevictor966(m): 9:15pm On Sep 03, 2020
Confusion hits hard on Imo Apc as two candidates emerges from two factions in the just concluded Apc Primary election for the Imo North Senatorial District Bye Election.

The candidates are Sen Ifeanyi Araraume in combined force with the former governor of the state Sen Rochas Okorocha (believed to be the Apex leader of the Apc in the state)

The second candidate, Frank Ibezim loyal to the imposed incumbent governor of the state Mr Hope Uzodinma. (Alleged to be the leader of Imo Apc in a Ben Johnson way).

Apc in chaos, it can only be Apc.

"They Waited For Police Report Until He Died"

Doctor should be held responsible!

By: Prince Victor

Fundamentally, the core duty of a doctor and other professionals in the health sector is to save live.

To me, "It is sheer mischief, ignorance, disinformation or misinformation for anyone to say that you must get a Police report before you are treated as a victim of an accident or gunshot wound, the requirement is after the doctors must have saved life and stabilised the victim, they are required to report after treatment and not before treatment".

That requirement is intended to avoid a
scenario where a suspected armed robber, cultist, kidnapper or even a terrorist, after sustaining a gunshot wound during an engagement with the Police or other law enforcement officers, gets treated and probably continues in his criminal activities."

There are sixteen (16)sections in the Act 2017 of the "Compulsory Treatment and Care of Accident and Gunshot Victims". following are notable among them:

1. Every hospital is to receive and treat victims of accident or gunshot wounds with or without police clearance and/or payment of an initial deposit, but are duty bound to report to the nearest police station within two hours of commencing treatment on the victim.

2.No person with an accident or gunshot wound shall be subjected to torture or any inhuman or degrading treatment by any person or authority including the police or any security agency. This provision reaffirms the constitutional right of every citizen to dignity of human person.

3.The police may only receive an accident or gunshot victim upon certification of fitness by the Chief Medical Director of the hospital where he is receiving treatment.

Medical practitioner who refuses to attend to victim for reasons of cruel, unlawful and inexcusable request of police report is liable to 5 (five) years imprisonment or a sum of N500,000.00 or both.

It is therefore pertinent and salient for the authorities to act upon the Act 2017 as enshrined in the Nigeria constitutional, it will serve as a deterrent to other medical practitioners and hospitals in synonymous cases upon reoccurrence.

May the soul of Pilot Chika Ernet rest in peace.

Republic of Mali more "POWERFUL" than Republic of Nigeria?

Mali Crises: From Disputed Election to President's Resignation.

By Prince Victor.

It is no News that the President of the Republic of Mali, His Excellency President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita announced his resignation as president and dissolved his cabinets after a staged munity from soldiers as he was arrested and detained alongside his Prime Minister where he was constrained to resign.

The Question on the lips of Many Nigerians since the scenario is "Republic of Mali more POWERFUL than Republic of Nigeria"?

Mali has population of a near-20 million people, a country whose population is just a state in the Giant of Africa, Nigeria.

Since the re-election of Keita in 2018 which was adjudged to have been marred with irregularities by opposition party's and the Malians populace, series of protest upon protest upon deadly protest had been staged demanding the resignation of the president. They accused president Keita of failing to fix the country's dire economic situation and contain a
years-long armed campaign by various groups that has killed thousands and rendered vast swaths of Mali ungovernable.

In a move to settle the dispute, Ecowas set up a team led by Nigeria President, His Excellency Dr Goodluck Jonathan GCFR as a special envoy to Mali, to bring peace to the country.

The World Peace Ambassador took this task and held series of peace talks with the president, the conflicting oppositions and the people of Mali but the Malians were hell bent as they all rejected the movement, The protest movement's leaders continued to call for parliament to be dissolved and urge for civil disobedience.

The opposition declares on August 17 that it will stage daily violent protests culminating in a mass rally in Bamako at the end of the week but on the night of August 18 the President threw in the towel and resigned as external forces from the soldiers stepped in and constrained him to resign.

The case of Mali is synonymous to that of Nigeria, where the re-election of Buhari was marred by irregularities, over voting, vote buying amongst other and have since failed to fix the economy as the country risk collapsing her structures to China over alarming loans enriching the Apc's treasury.

In Mali, we have a 20-million people of just a state in Nigeria who stood there ground with stiff resistance until there protests became successful.

In Nigeria, we had over 200 million, a 10x multiple of mali's population who are discombobulated, flummoxed, befuddled, trifling and nugatory people who are insensitive and can't stand united to oust a flippant and tyrant government.

Mali has set an unprecedented byspel.

Nigerians should Emulate!

Though I posited that i share cordial relationship with Chief Ohakim and have apex knowledge of him from childhood, that doesn't portray me to be a "Political Hallelujah Boy" as you alleged...

Till this end, i'm not Dr Ohakim's Spokesman or PA but I do reserve the sole prerogative to air my perspective and that is my constitutional rights to freedom of speech.

I have done justice by debunking and thrashing what seems to be malicious, barbaric, concocted and fabricated lies at the person of His Excellency Chief Dr Ikedi Ohakim KSC CON.

I eschew politics of bitterness!
Nairaland / General / Igbo Women Gaiety Known As "August Meeting" Festival by Princevictor966(m): 8:29pm On Aug 18, 2020
By Prince Victor.

ANOTHER August has come and married women in Igbo land are again busy with the annual event in their various communities. However, the outbreak of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic has impacted negatively on this year's programmes. In spite of that, the women are determined to go ahead, even on a low scale no matter how little impact they will make on the
rural women.
The annual August meeting has been
entrenched in the calendar of Igbo women and they always look forward to it. It has become customary for most women who are civil servants to fix their annual leave in
August to enable them interact with their fellow women in the rural areas without having to worry about their offices
during the period.

The main idea behind the August meeting is for the women to assemble and fashion out ways of bettering their immediate families, churches and communities by planning and executing development projects. Usually, August meeting is broken into three segments. The first is organised at the village level, then at the community
level and finally, at the church level during which the women offer thanksgiving in their various churches to formally end the meeting. Though the dates and time of the meeting vary from community to community, the important thing is that it falls
within the month of August. It is customarily binding on women to attend the August meeting as non-attendance attracts surcharge by the leadership of the women
organisation. Fundraising and execution of projects usually form the crux of the meeting and that is why projects
funded by women dot many communities.

“When the women finally come together, they have professionals among them such as doctors who talk to them on health matters and lawyers who talk to them on
legal issues such as inheritance matters. There are also people who talk to them in the area of managing their homes. They discuss their communal problems where
people give their opinions on how to make their community a better place. The person in charge of the general meeting
is usually the President-General.
“One of the most important advantages of the August meeting is the coming together and seeing people you have not seen for a long time and interacting with them. Another impressive thing about August meeting is that it helps to foster unity. When two persons or groups are quarrelling,
they settle it at the August meeting. And women love to attend August meeting because they learn a lot from it."

Every right thinking man is of necessity bond to avail his wife the full support to enroll and participate in the women's August meeting because of the accruing benefits that abound and women needs to be encouraged for their relentless efforts.

The government should also recognize this reliable channel as a means in reaching out to women rather than the self centered women political leaders who are into politics for selfish interest as most of the incentives availed them, hardly gets to the women at the grassroots as they don't represent the interest of the women.

Nairaland / General / Gov Ohakim And Amuchinwa, What You Should Know by Princevictor966(m): 7:36pm On Aug 18, 2020
I painstakingly read on This day publication, how a known 419ner lady, Chinyere Amuchinwa alleged a former governor of Imo state of defrauding her of N500 million.

The accusation on the distinguished former governor of IMO state, His Excellency Chief Dr Ikedi Ohakim KSC CON, Is a mere trump up allegation targeted at tarnishing his repute image.

From my childhood, I have personally known Dr Ohakim better than any other governor even before his reign as governor of the state, we reside in Lagos and had this cordial relationship till his days as governor and latter.

Chief Ikedi Ohakim is not known to be dubious in nature, he's not a scammer nay fraudster, he's not known of questionable characters, the accusations on him is just empty and petty.

My question is, WHO IS AFTER OHAKIM?

This quintessential gentleman is no longer at the helms of affairs in the state, he has peacefully moved on, being a statesman and lending his voice to the polity of the state and Nigeria at large.

I smell a rat, I make bold to say this is another sponsored political bitterness, it is the handiwork of political jobbers, speculators, Ragtags and loafers who are afraid of the unstoppable political feat and capacity of Dr Ohakim or certainly an enemy trying his/her best at extorting, blackmailing or otherwise defaming his hard earned reputation.

I urge the general public to disregard such empty and petty allegation from a potential roadside worker, who is not even worthy to untie the sandals of Ohakim's grandson and not known of any legal business conniving with political featherweights trying to defraud high profiled persons for their selfish interest in a bid to feed her wretched and poverty striking family.

This is another vicious and ludicrous allegation against the People's Governor and shouldn't be taken serious, such concocted, fabricated, disingenuous lies from the pit of hell will equally be met with stiff resistance.
