HERE'S THE SOLUTION
Area of the rectangle (A) = l × b
Where l = length = 10 unit
b = breadth = 8 unit
Area, A = l × b = 10 × 8 = 80 square unit
Area of a circle = πr²
Area of a semi-circle (As) = ½πr²
Where r = ½(diameter) = ½ × 8 = 4 unit and π = pi = 3.14 (already given)
Area of a semi-circle (As) = ½ × 3.14 × 4²
As = 3.14 × 8 = 25.12 square unit
Now, the area of the shaded region = A - As = 80 - 25.12 = 54.88 square unit
