@George_D
We are looking into options.
We prefer using registered professionals with the proper insurance policies to ensure our customer get nothing but the best.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Like I said earlier, we have not gone out to other cities because we want to solve the teething problems first in one city.

These things have been operational in the US but our environment pose different and tougher challenges.

Please bear with us.

We have updated the logo to reflect home that should temporarily help with the issue you just raised till be sorth out a permanent one.(This will be effective shortly )

@George_D,
Thanks George.

- We have soo much books that It's going to take us some time to load it all. We currently have staff dedicated to those.
- We will add other categories within the week.
- We are trying to perfect the running of lagos first before moving to other cities within the country.

We don't just want to launch and say we can deliver to every city. We want to build solid service within the first city, then replicate it in the rest of the country.
We do want to be the best in Nigeria and not by our word, but by the words of our customers.

Swift is good. but we intend to be the best and most trust worthy.

We'll get to warri before you know it I promise you and if I had your contacts i'd send you a personal notic when we do.
But if you sign up on flegz.com you'll get notifications as we will be periodically sending out to our customers.

Your fears are very understandable Cabali,
There has been a lot of bad publicity for Nigeria in the online business.
And that's due to some bad eggs in our society.

But that is what we collectively have to change. It will not be easy.

But gradually we'll all do our little bit to errode this notion and build safer systems online and offline.
Hopefully, someday, ours will be the envy of the world and we'll look back and say we came out of it.

But we have to get our hands dirty and get the work done. One site at a time.
We'll find the loopholes and plug them.
We'll build our name again.

Flegz.com is a product of Flegz Integrated Services Limited; a company duely registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

You can look it up with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

You can call up Guaranty Trust Bank e-business unit, and you can call Interswitch Nigeria limited.

I urge you to try us and when you see the excellence in service, Tell others about us.

As for the emptyness you expressed, don't worry we just launched and if you look properly you'll see that Items are continually beign loaded by the minute so please feel free to look us up again. hopefully we'll have the titles or Items that will Interest you.

Hope to see you online.

Flegz.com is a product owned by Flegz Integrated Services Limited Nigeria.
Has an array of share holders.

Poineers are Onogberie Prosper and Andy Onyung.
The idea to start such a service was born way back in 2005 when were students at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-ife.
We had to travel for hours to lagos to get computer hardware at Ikeja computer village.
The problem associated with those trips gave rise to the need to know before hand the availability of what you wanted. Then flegz.com was born. to list goods from lagos so that students would have a place to find information before setting out on a trip.

But we've since expanded into a full blown shopping service with more investors.
We've worked over the years in our little garage fine-tunning and redesigning the entire workflow and security to come up with something tailored to our Nigerian environment.

Right now our prices are at least 20% cheaper than what you'll find in regular shops in Lagos.

We'll continue to make it easier, and as much as possible make things cheaper.

Nigerians deserve the best and we hope to be one of the companies that lead the way with consistent excellence in service and product delivery.
We hope our customers' lives get's easier as a result of our service.

More about the company can be found at http://www.flegz.com/aboutus/co.php
Business / Re: Flegz: The Best Nigerian Shopping Site? by prosper(m): 10:19pm On Apr 12, 2009
Flegz.com relly not on one supplier, but an array of them for any particular category.
And alot of the work is not done by the suppliers.
The only way flegz.com can give the kind of guaranty it is giving now is because it is deep in every aspect of the operations ensuring excellence.
Business / Re: Flegz: The Best Nigerian Shopping Site? by prosper(m): 6:09pm On Apr 12, 2009

There are also suppliers signed up to supply certain categories.

Webmasters / Re: Interswitch /etransact And Vpay Cards For N15,000 Set Up ? by prosper(m): 9:21am On Oct 24, 2008
phoenixy1:

Hi there,
Your website is quite nice and so is the concept. I believe you will definitely find your niche in that biz.

Considering the nature of your services,I would say that you do not really have to bother much about receiving payments directly from Nigeria.
It will be good to have that option for ease of use but I would suggest you start work on payments from American express.

I mean, if people will be ordering for US goods, they would already have a method of payment for these items, yes? They might as well use the same system to pay for your services. Get?

Meanwhile you can work with Nigerian payment processors or as you hope use interswitch directly.
The thing is that Nigerian banks started using cards only recently and have not really come round it fully. Interswitch is trying their best to connect things also but they still have their limitations.

Ideally, Interswitch should provide you with full integration codes including a redirect url form, but as it is you will have to make do with what you get for now and always carry out a manual check with your bank for confirmation of all payments.

UBA as well as most banks now offer 'online banking', however these are generally limited to checking of account balance only due to scare of fraud, but is good enough for your purpose of acct. bal. checking.

I hope thats helpful or what do you think?
B.A

Hey,
GTBank allows you to:

1. Check balance,
2. Transfer from one account to another,
3. and they send you alerts on your Mobile phone via SMS and Email when payments are made into your account.
4. No hidden charges.[ They don't charge you for these services. ] unlike zenith that only allows checking and will charge you for using their ATM card on their ATM. even to check your balance.

I wonder what the other banks are waiting for.

Besides it cost you almost nothing to open an account there.
And all accounts are zero based. Meaning you can withdraw all your money upto zero naira.
And opening one is very stress free.

They are the best option today.
Maybe one other will come up tomorrow.

You can ask Seun the moderator how much stress he went through until he went to GTB.

www.investordelight.com i think ?

that's just the tool an investor needs.

Those who have seen this stuff will agree with me when i say " it's soo unbeleivable"
So unbelivably usefull,
Sooo Unbeleivably functional and very unlike Nigerians.

But i wonder why it took soo long for Nigerians to come up with this thing.

I figured it updates periodically too. so i don't have to wait for FS before i do math crunching to know my stock value,

It rocks, but it can still be improved upon.
Nice work.

Romance / Re: My Girlfriend Squats With A Guy In School by prosper(m): 11:49pm On Apr 25, 2007
If you ask marriage counselors, they'll tell you 96% of people who claim they are in love when they get married eventually get to the time when they almost can't stick each other in the house.
Some outrightly curse the day they met the other.
Some retort to coming home late and leaving as earlier than cock crows.
Ask yourself if this lying girls of yours is someone you can spend the rest of your life with ?
This same girl who lets another guy pick up her calls.
If you can't live in peace when she's not around you cause you are scared she'll cheat on you, then you definitely cannot marry her in peace.
So Quit. and enjoy your "singleness" while it last.
If you live in Lagos, I will recommend that visit Fountain of life church on Monday evenings they run a very lovely Singles program and trust me it's worth it.
Family / Re: Would You Marry Someone Out Of Pity? by prosper(m): 11:23pm On Apr 25, 2007
I think there could be more complicated cases than that. Not just living together and feeling pity.

Let me think out a fictitious scenario, Lets say you lived together and on the road because of your reckless driving, there was an accident and the person got some disability that will definitely mar the chances of getting some one else to marry.
What would you do ?
Literature / Re: Poetry Put Youths To Sleep. Why? by prosper(m): 10:11pm On Apr 25, 2007
I think our attention span is so short.
And poem take some patience before the interesting part comes along. Unlike music where the starting beat just drives you crazy immediately.
Try Timba land's beats then you'll feel what i'm talking about.
Times have changed and new things have taken over the entertainment that makes poetry so Obsolete and "Old School" if you know what i mean.
