In case the embed code above doesn't work, this is a link to the poll on Twitter. https://twitter.com/oprosper/status/782912236243259394 Vote and Enjoy! EDIT: Okay the embed code isn't working. Hopefully Nairaland admins can help or if it's against your policy let me know so I can remove it. Thanks folks. |

jpphilips: Some times I feel like hitting the report post button and just report some comments for being too stupid on a global scale. Thanks to our academic systems of over 20+ years of rot. People just disgrace us on the internet. Can't imagine how I would face my colleagues on IRC if they read this. My pay might actually be reduced for being from the same country as some people. 1 Like 1 Share |

U.S. considers surveillance to help Nigeria find girls: U.S. official By Lesley Wroughton WASHINGTON Thu May 8, 2014 4:51pm EDT (Reuters) - The United States is considering a request by Nigeria to provide surveillance aircraft and intelligence to find more than 200 schoolgirls abducted by Islamist militants, a senior U.S. official told Reuters on Thursday. "The Nigerians have asked for assistance in that area and we are considering it," Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. assistant-secretary of State for African Affairs, said in an interview. U.S. military, law-enforcement and development experts, including some skilled in hostage negotiations, started arriving in Nigeria on Thursday to help search for the missing girls and tackle the rising threat from Boko Haram. France, Britain and China have also offered help. Thomas-Greenfield said the United States has worked with Nigeria since September on improving the African country's ability to fight Boko Haram following a request by Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan to President Barack Obama. Obama has vowed to" do to everything we can" to help find the girls, whose April 14 abduction from a secondary school triggered international outrage. A social media campaign, using the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls, has focused on the Nigerian government's response to the kidnappings and on Boko Haram's other attacks and kidnappings, which have terrorized local communities. While Nigeria has sought help from the United States, the government had often been reluctant to take the advice, according to U.S. officials. Cooperation has also been complicated by international concerns about human rights abuses by Nigerian security forces in the northeast. Human rights groups have highlighted illegal detentions, torture and deaths of prisoners at Giwa Barracks where the Nigerian military has imprisoned young men accused of being Boko Haram members in the past several years. Many prisoners held were bystanders rounded up in mass sweeps, rights groups say. Thomas-Greenfield said Jonathan has been "very, very receptive" to the latest offer for U.S. assistance and assigned his national security adviser to work with the U.S. teams. "I caution that we can't make this our own problem because Nigerians have to be front and center, we can't lead it and we can't fix it." Speaking at the World Economic Forum being hosted in the Nigerian capital Abuja, Jonathan pledged to find the girls and thanked foreign nations for their support. Thomas-Greenfield said Boko Haram was not just a security issue but also a development challenge faced by the Nigerian government in one of the poorest areas of the country. "Boko Haram has been able to use the lack of development, the disaffection with the government, to entice young people to come into their fold," she said. "It is a double-edged sword that needs to be not only sharpened but also blunted." She said problems with Boko Haram, which also operates out of neighboring Cameroon, had also highlighted the need to develop a regional strategy to fight increased Islamic militancy in parts of sub-Saharan Africa. (Reporting by Lesley Wroughton; Editing by David Gregorio) So it turns out there was an official request from the Nigerian Government to the Department of state AND AS SOME MAY KNOW. A MUTUAL FRIEND AND I ALWAYS SAY "NO SOURCE, NO STORY" SO HERE'S THE SOURCE: http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/05/08/us-nigeria-girls-usa-idUSBREA470YY20140508 |

This guy's experience is exactly what I have been facing since I switched to spectranet. These guys are really Frauds. I thought I was going crazy when you tell them at their office they are quick to point you to the fact that they are very fast hence your data gets used up quickly. But it's all a properly rehearsed lie they all tell. If you then draw their attention to the fact that you should only be charged for the data you request regardless of the speed, they have no defence but to push the speed issue. and the freaking thing is not all that fast in my neighborhood. I had mobitel working much much faster and I used much less data for longer with Mobitel. SPECTRANET SHOULD BE SHUTDOWN BY THE NCC. Mayber we should be talking class action suits at this time. I don't mind joining one. |

Unfortunately Nigerians are so slow, They's been so oppressed to the extent that they are forever slaves. The lawmakers pay issue alone is enough to cause a protest. But alas we are all looking. Empty and spent. God deliver our children from slavery |

Mr Jarus, if we all blow grammar like this, then the people of Nigeria we are talking to will be lost and by the time you finish all they will do is say haaaaay the man go school, Communication, Communication Communication. The Story was too long, and not really saying much and I got tired of reading. Hence my expression. Which by the way I have every right to. Thanks Jarus or whatever you call yourself. And by the way, if he/she understands leadership, Uncle Joe is not " having epileptic fits " or feet or whatever he/she was trying to say. He's behaved excellently. |

I'm sure users will make wise descisions and will have preferences, they just have to see which one of these sites solves their problems better, nice site though good work, Flegz.com is still a better and safer choice. |

proudly9ja: Sums up the real challenge facing Nigeria which if our supreme leaders and their attack dogs in the central bank and EFCC were thinking, should consider more seriously in addressing our economic woes, But then do they really want to fix problems ? If the Gov. whos claiming to want to operate under the rule of law wants to fix problems then there are serious questions about their aproach, 1. Is it fair to disgrace some now and call some to "Aso Rock for discussions" ? 2. This whole EFCC harrasment smells of a conspiracy it reeks of a Northern Agenda. 3. Why not go after those reponsible for collecting contracts in power sector without execution ? ( at least if there was power, some credible SMEs will thrive and be able to collect loans and pay back and the excuse of a dead SME sector will be minimized) It reeks of a nothern Agenda, period!!! |

Haba, put picture naw, Make them ladies do some measurement, Abi una babe no feel me ? |

I'd like an Intelligently arranged marriage. Where the guy and the girl are out together and not told anything, but little little isinuations are made to them suggesting they should go after each other. Telling a guy/girl this is the person I want you to get married to is just plain dictatorship and simply out of vogue. Even we as youngstars matchmake, but we don't force it, we just suggest it to our friends, cousines, etc. Abi una no feel me. But then love come with another game play entirely. |

I tried calling Meg witman on ebay when my account was suspended. The true owner of the mail box responded with a very programmed response. I never tried going there again. I would recomend shopping on flegz.com though If you don't find what you want there, you can request it. Cheers. |

Take ten books at random on flegz.com compare the price with what you have on Amazon.com using a 150naira to a USD exchange rate. You'll find we are cheaper 80% of the time. The few times we are desame price or slightly higher is when you compare our hard cover books to their paper cover versions. That's aside any shipping cost you'll incure buying from Amazon. Flegz.com ships for free on the other hand. I think flegz.com is fair in pricing however you look at it. We'll welcome lower priced suppliers though, hence the asking. |

@reindeer You seem to know me. Please remind me know who you are. |

Interesting. You want to supply flegz.com some these titles ? |
![]() |
The prices are well thought through. And i belive you will find it cheaper to shop at flegz.com Just keep looking out for the details of what you are buying. And thanks for your contributions too. |

Thanks in advance. liftedone: Where is this local book store ? What's the name of the company and where are they ? It'll help to know. That's besides the fact that our price for Ending the Search for Mr Right is actually NGN 1,050 NOT 1,200 please quate accurately, we take these things seriously. Then there's the issue of you finding an old delisted edition for a lower price because people now buy the new editions. Paper back versus Hard cover. You really need to check properly the quality of what you are getting before yu start screaming price murder. I will say this again, Your local store will not give the quality of service Flegz.com is rendering for that price. We sell authentic books not pirated prints. Pricing at flegz.com is very fair and I'm sure when you try us out even you will attest to it. And we'll continue to find ways to make things better for us and our customers. |

@azeezbaba T@meD0 made a point but as you can see. There are clear distinctions; From google's Colour shades, Font types, Brand names, and the intertwined rings are not like google. From Ebay The Colour Shades, Font Types, Brand names, and Intertwined rings are not like ebay's From Microsoft Microsoft has four not intertwined, and the colourshades are different. From a whole lot of web companies and non tech companies. there are visible discrepancies. If you noticed if these three companies have not killed each other over colours and rings. Besides that their logos ad avatars did and are still evolving. and we do hope ours will for the better. Besides we hope to get to Abuja next. Cheers. |
