Politics / Re: Why Saraki Shouldn't Be Senate President by proudlykwaran: 9:09pm On May 10, 2015
otunbakolawole lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed :-Xpost=33567930:
Op,

The fact that you stated that this is your own personal opinion makes your write up sit well with me. having said that, ABS as he's fondly called (Abubakar Bukola Saraki) is qualified to be the next Senate president, and I will urge the APC and PDP members in the Senate to support him. I don't know what the salary scale is @ the Kwara State civil service, and as such won't comment on that About the purported 100million naira which you said is paid monthly, that can't be true. It's an allegation anyway, unless it's proven otherwise.

ABS is a very simple and open person. He has this quality of authenticity, of being who he says he is, of possessing a truthfulness that goes beyond words and that is what endears him to people. At the Senate, he garners support from people who disagree with him. He is someone who lives out his values, stands up for what he believes in and has this sense of empathy, which most politicians have lost due to the cacophony of voices that have steered them by the winds of bootlickers and hangers on.

I believe that a stronger sense of empathy would tilt the balance of our current politics in favour of the common man. No matter how much I disagree with the OP, opinion on Bukola saraki, I am still obligated to see the world through your eyes. That's what empathy does. It calls us to task, we are forced beyond our limited vision. That's why I believe that a grassroot mobilizer, a community organiser, like ABS who puts his time, money and energy into community development is what we need to lead the next senate. Senators must become accountable,
they must be seen and accessible, they must host town hall meetings, they should stay true to who they are and not allow the frivolities in Abuja carry them away.

ABS is ripe for that seat, I urge people to support him

I am of the view that Otunbakolawole's opinion should be respected because he appears not privy to who Bukola Saraki is.
The writer of this article is really on course and many of us are happy that some soundly minded people are still in kwara.
Bukola Saraki is not just a corrupt man who should not be seen near GMB's government, he is actually a man with dead conscience, a fraudsters and a criminal. Everything said about him with regard to the 100 million per month pension is true. The money is always released on 28th or 29th of every month in cash. It is paid into his accounts in four banks in 25million apiece. Two of the four banks are UBA and Zenith. I won't mention two others for know reasons. Bukola Saraki is also known to be connected with several murder cases in Kwara aside from the case of the Managing Director of Joy Petroleum. He has been a criminal for long. Documentary evidence has it that he was arraigned for a 419case in 1990 before an Igbosere Margistrate Court along with Ghemi Saraki and one other for duping a white man of 510,000 dollars. He takes drugs just like his friends and stooge Abdul Ahmed and sister Ghemi Saraki.
Ahmed even sleeps with his wife's sister. It is no longer secret in kwara state that Ahmed is said to tired of Bukola Saraki, but he is always reported to claim that he is afraid for his life as Bukola Saraki could kill him if he backs out.
Recently after the general election, Bukola Saraki' men attempted to eliminate the son of Late Mohammed Lawal, former governor of kwara state. What was his offence? Hakeem Lawal came in the company of Bafarawa, his father friend to greet GMB and met Bukola Saraki and Abdullah Ahmed there. GMB went in with Bafarawa and Hakeem Lawal and left Saraki and Ahmed and others. Bukola Saraki thus felt threatened and lo and behold he sent assasins after the young Lawal same day, but the young man narrowly escaped, but not without arm injury to his police orderly.
Apparently, GMB and Bukola Saraki are poles apart integrity wise and it will be the greatest deservice to GMB's administration if Bukola Saraki is the man to lead legislature.
If it happens, this government will suffer credibility problem from start to finish. And I have continued to maintain that if Bukola Saraki ever clinches the seat, it will be a time to be rewarded for the sin of the Saraki household against kwara people. I am a not soothsayer but I see the guy being paid back with a bullet by death merchant before the next four years. This is because he will criminals like him at federal level who will silence once and for all.
Politics / Re: Jonathan Procured A Judgement To Disqualify Buhari - Press Statement From APC by proudlykwaran: 9:16pm On Mar 24, 2015
What the judge told the guy is true. That principle exist in the judiciary. But judges also differ in their temperaments and it is not mandatory one goes that line. There is also danger in failing to observe the provisions of the law. It's might end up being Buhari' own albatross.
In observing the said principle, the judge will be concerned with how to avoid blood letting. He will consider what the plaintiffs stand to lose which is not much and the tendency that the plaintiffs and their beneficiaries will cos violence is slim cos they are civilized. But Buhari' followers are less civilized and might destroy the country, so if the judge is week, he may dismiss the case, but if he is strong, he may allow the law take its course. The APC press statement is designed to intimidate the judge ahead of the ruling which is very bad. It speaks volumes about their character and the kind of government they plan to run. More importantly, I wonder how and why Buhari wishes to start his government and his anti corruption campaign on a wrong foot and foundation

Politics / Re: Jonathan Vs Buhari: How They Stand In 36 States, FCT - PUNCH by proudlykwaran: 2:30pm On Mar 22, 2015
apparently this analysis is defective. For instance, the impression given here about kwara is totally wrong. The truth about kwara at the moment is that the hate for Bukola Saraki is so tick that he may not have the privilege of seeing the four walls of Senate after this election. Unfortunately both Bukola and GMB are standing election same day. I see hate for Bukola further rubbing on GMB. That 70%-30% prediction in favour of Buhari in Kwara is a farce.
And if the punch prediction about kwara is this defective, I wonder what the situation is about other states.

It's a lie. General Buhari invited him to be his running mate in 2011. Then, GMB was still in Chicago, a party he founded. Attempt to merge with APC failed because Tunde Bakare refused to accept the corrupt proposal from Tinubu. Remember Odumakin who was GMB spokesman in 2011 said similar thing. He said he told GMB he wouldn't be able to work for him this time around because of the questionable characters around him.

Change is an outcome of a process. It took 25year for Singapore to transform from the third world to first world. Becoming the first world is the expected change. The change of power is what the APC is advocating, but their followers are mistaking it for an instant improvement to their lifestyle. It is not. The APC if it wins the election will attempt to secure change through transformation. Change without transformation is nothing. A lasting change is only possible when the people and the system undergoes transformation. Before the coming of Jonathan, what most of our leaders did was to create little change by treating the symptoms of our ailments. For instance, they provide jobs simply by blotting the civil service, but failed to create jobs, they repair roads, but failed to build and maintain the rail system. They have forgotten that railways is the cheapest means of domestic transportation and the most durable. No country can maintain a good road system without the backup of railway. The same is applicable to agriculture and other sectors.
The current issues in Nigeria calls for good understanding. Nigeria made so much monies under Babangida, Abacha, and Olusegun Obasanjo but nothing was done to create a productive base for the nation. Babangida squandered the windfall and Abacha's PTF was run as a one–man show by no other person other than GMB. The PTF was run in such an ad-hoc manner that it forgot Osun state in its programme.
Now the quest for change that is ongoing will not be adequately reviewed without recourse to certain missing gaps. Why did the PDP fail to create change? Of the 15years in power, Obasanjo spent 8years in power and the period was characterised with massive fraud and corruption. But the government had a saving grace in that oil price kept rising throughout his stay in power. That period was the most appropriate for Nigeria to have embarked on the buildup of her productive base. Though, he did well by paying off the nation's debt. Though there are still different schools of thought on that. obasanjo's failure to use the Staggering fund at his disposal was informed by his sit–tight plan which eventually didn't work.
The role of the Nigeria' Governors Forum during Obasanjo Era and afterwards was inimical to Nigeria present state. Olusegun obasanjo allowed the Governors to congregate, and became so much empowered such that the forum eventually constituted itself into the unofficial fourth organ of our government. They successfully worked against his third term bid and as soon as the forum realized how powerful it was, it quickly encapsulated Obasanjo's successor and virtually ran his government for him. Under Yar'Adua, the Governors forced him to squander the $22billion excess crude fund without anything to show for it. They equally used it to bargain with Jonathan and collected the left over of the fund before allowing him to assume seat after Yar'Adua demise. Of course Bukola Saraki and Rotimi Amechie spearheaded the evil machinations.
Jonathan's predicaments started when he attempted to checkmate the excesses of the Governors.

As we approach the D=day, Nigerians have not stopped amusing me. Everyone has not stopped saying same thing, 'Jonathan has disappointed us' and I remember in 2011, I asked many people why they want to vote for an amateur, they said they just want him, more so he is a Christian.
But to me, that faith in Jonathan is paying off but because Nigerians are so used to been driven by expert drivers who don't listen to advice of co–travellers, today they want to abandon the amateur driver who listens for the So called experts who have had accidents many times.
Buhari has been in leadership with Obasanjo in 1978, he became a leader in 1983 and he came back with Abacha as PTF chairman in the 90s.
What pains me about Nigerians is that we are not only bad students of history, but very clueless race . Why? Each time I heard people say we are tired of PDP, I keep wondering whether we reason at all in this nation? There is nothing like PDP, but we are ruled in a military midwived democracy. Right from 1999,the military orchestrated our democracy and installed Obasanjo who became too ambitious as not to hand over to Babangida and mistakenly gave it to Yar'Adua(first civilian since Shagari). Did I hear you mention Shonekan, that issue is for another day. The matter became worse for the military when power slipped into Jonathan hands. to the military ruling class, Jonathan is an 'osu' or alien to the ruling house of Nigeria. And more importantly since he has been tendering a part to free Nigerians from bandage they are enmeshed in, he must be brought down. So all military leaders have therefore rallied round to bring back power to the fold where to them it belongs. This struggle Is not about performance, has any of the past leaders done better and did anyone crucify them.
GMB beside the fact that he truncated our democracy, has never had love for democracy. He administration never mentioned any thing returning power to civilian. He came back serve the worst dictatorship in Nigeria's history and never saw anything wrong in it.
Why I laugh at Nigerians is that while Nigeria is set to tow a path to steady growth in the hands of a knowledgeable civilian president, we are again allowing ourselves to be shortchanged by some civilian robbers parading themselves as Progressives who wants to give us military styled 'fire brigade' change. Change is an end. It is never a process. Transformation is a process that leads to change. Nigerians don't make the mistake of your life. Be warned.

Did you know that if GLJ wins the upcoming election, then The
Constitution of Nigeria have been violated?..

Under the 1979 2nd Republican Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria which started this Below law that: -

"An electorate body can stay in office for minimum of 4 years
and could only stay for maximum of 8 Years".
(Irrespective of how he/she was elected)

GLJ had spent 6 years already, if he wins this election, it makes it +4 years = 10 years in Office (over 8 years)... Constitution will be violated..

Making it illegal..

Please this is not a Political Campaign Post, just ordinary Observation that Nigerians are negleting even the so called Legislatures and Judiciaries..

I observe this myself...
o
What school did you attend? University or polytechnic? Well let me educate you. In the first instance, you quoted a discarded constitution. But the current one also has a similar provision. But one critical word central to this issue of GEJ's eligibility as set by 1999 constituents is 'elective office'. GEJ did not seek elective office in 2009 when he succeeded Yar'Adua. He sought his first elective office as a president in2011. He is therefore seeking it for a second time now. What happened is that the Constitution did not foresee this scenario. So GEJ can not be held a culprit for this. Actually the Constitution can not foresee all things. So we expect an amendment soon.

That is the hallmark of developing democracy, that we are bold to say it as it is is a plus for our democracy. There are three options from APC, one, produce a documentary to deny, two, sniff out corrupt acts of Jonathan's government and expose it likewise or three, go to court. What pains me about APC is that it is full of dull heads. They allow their emotions to rule their reasoning. Fools.

Politics / Change Has Come To Kwara by proudlykwaran: 6:14pm On Mar 13, 2015
We have watched events in Kwara state over the last few years and it is apparent that the biggest problem that kwara state has is Bukola Saraki. We make bold to say this and anybody that want to challenge should come forward with facts. We have been proved right time and time over.
But the only common ground that kwara people and Bukola Saraki and his cohorts share is the view that kwara needs a change. The people of kwara are singing it, Saraki followers are screaming it, and so we believe that time for change has truly come.
In the true sense of it, people of kwara will deliver themselves this time around come April, 2015.
Kwara people, Kwara people, Kwara people, how many times have we called you, this is our time, please come out on election date and vote this bastard out.
We beg president Goodluck Jonathan to do us this favour by disallowing rigging. Kwara people want to show the whole nation that Olusola Saraki group has never won election in kwara state, but has been stealing our mandate with federal might. Now that federal support has eluded Bukola Saraki, Kwara people want to take him up at the polls.
Once again we beg president Goodluck Jonathan to do kwara people this singular favour, please sir, make sure all avenues for rigging is closed and we can assure Nigerians that Saraki's so called Dynasty will be dead and buried. Kwara people this time around will be the beneficiary of federal might, but we will not be involved in rigging but wish that every vote be allowed to count.
After the election, then Bukola Saraki and Abdulfatah Ahmed will be made to account for their boundless atrocities against Kwara people.
We know their atrocities and no amount of cover ups can save them. Despite all image laundering done by Prince Tunji Morohunfoye denying Saraki and Ahmed' atrocities, are the facts not coming out now?
We all know Tunji Morohunfoye and Opera Saraki are mere front in the deal and they will be given small change, but the real culprits are Bukola Saraki and Abdulfatah Ahmed.
Ahmed also is the lesser of the two evils, if that one gets his own Indian hemp and ladies with Oshodi Oke, then every thing is settled. But, Bukola is nothing but crime impersonated. This is why many Nigerians still wonder what General Buhari wants that will make himself associate with the likes of Bukola Saraki, Rotimi Amechie and Bola Tinubu. Honestly, we kwarans know that if a man wakes up and meet Bukola Saraki first, then he needs to go back to sleep immediately to reawake if he must have a nice day. Nigerians have failed to ask Progressives Bukola Saraki and Rotimi Amechie what role they played as Chairmen of Nigeria' Governors Forum along with Umar Yar'Adua In squandering the $22billion excess crude fund . In their Era, AL Jazeera TV called Nigeria a 'kleptocracy'

To be continue tomorrow.

Politics / Re: Breaking: Court Urged To Stop Jonathan From Running by proudlykwaran: 11:17pm On Feb 02, 2015
Haaa. We are ashamed that these set of Lawyers are from Kwara state. Particularly, one is pained that the person of Yusuf Alli is involved. As per Wahab Egbewole, he is better at being a real estate agent that he truly is, than appearing in the law court, so one may not be realy disturbed. Ofcourse, he bought his PHD from Unilorin, and three years after he came back to buy his professorship. For gods sake, these gentlemen are suppose to be legal luminaries atleats at nigeria's level, but it appears they are acting like legal mumus. Why? this case had been thrown out before now.
More importantly is the claim that the law does not allow any one to seek an 'elective' office for more than two terms. The most important word here is 'elective' and i wonder why they did not take note of the critical word. Fortunately unlike other constitutions the world over, Nigeria constitution does not require a vice president to undergo election to assume office in the case of the demise of a seating president. So Janathan was 'appointed' by Nigeria's constitution to step into Yar'adua's office and was at no point in the transition process elected. The only office he sought by election prior to Yar Adua's demise was the office of the Vice President in 2007.
President Jonathan presented himself for the first time for the 'elective' office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2011, and he is therefore eligible to re-present himself again in 2015. We can bet it eventhough we are not lawyers, that no extent of deployment of legal technicalities and meandering can fault this simple logic.
Our Legal luminaried from Kwara should be equally reminded that no law or legal code is 'all-wise' and 'all-knowing'. So the mere fact that the constitution failed to envisage the scenario as presented by Jonathan's case does not mean that the court would disqualify Jonathan from contesting, when it is apparent that the man did not run fowl of known laid down procedure for acsending the office as laid down by the constitution. Law is never interpreted that way. Rather what a good law system does is to identify the apparent shortcoming and to employ appropriate law-making avenues to make appropriate amendments for the future. To us, jonathan is merely a man of luck and should be allowed to enjoy the share grace that providence is about to bestow on him if he is lucky enough to win the election.
Politics / Re: Pictures From APC Mega Rally In Kwara Today by proudlykwaran: 1:04am On Nov 07, 2014
The crowd is good and the people have spoken truly. But the true kwara people know what the picture is truly saying. The people crowded the city square just because they are hungry ane beaten down by poverty orchestrated by Bukola Saraki. For those who can flash back to the recent past, the crowd was equally intimidating the day Gej came into town, such that for weeks after he came, the seat of power in the State was still gittery. Anybody who knows the Governor can testify that his heart was in his mouth for a long time.
Now to the issues; it is not pictures that will tell what the people of Kwara are saying, but their votes. And by every standard, the people of Kwara have not spoken, but they are waiting to speak come 2015. And it is going to be very clear when they do. For Bukola Saraki and his stooge Abdulfatah Ahmed, that will mark the end of your political career. Perhaps the duo shuld be told the blantant truth that the federal might they have used to terrorise Kwarans since 2003 will now be let loose on them too. This time around, what the kwarans have always said(that they reject you) will be alowed to see the light of the day. Kwarans dont need anybody to rig elections for them, what we crave is a free and fair election and then we shall know what the Kwara people have spoken.
For Bukola Saraki, you will account for your daylight robbery against the Kwara people, and for your father's sins against Kwara people. People say you are more wickedly than your father, but be rest assured, you cannot kill everykwaran because we are too many, and no doubt we will outlive you just like we outlived your father. For General Buhari, it is shameful that with your averred integrity, you could associate with Bukola Saraki. General, have you forgotten so soon that you locked up Olushola Saraki in 1984 for corruption? Where then is your averred penchant for honesty and truth and your disdain for corruption? I believe Tunde Idiagbon would turn aroud in his grave last Wednesday 5th November 2014 asking 'but General, why are you froclicking with the very enemy of my kinsmen'?. General Mohammadu Buhari, let us tell you the truth, you are sinning against the very cradle of Kwara by standing with Bukola Saraki on Kwara soil. Kwara issue is beyond party issue. And that is where the APC missed it. You do not say because you desperately need power, you now identify with a peoples enemy. The APC appeared to me a party that has lost its bearings. They said PDP is bad, yet they accomadated the very ones on whose acts the PDP got its bad name. We know clearly between Bukola Saraki and Kwara, one entity will go down soon, and Insha Allah, it is going to be Bukola Saraki.
Health / Despicable Health System In Kwara State. by proudlykwaran: 3:19pm On Sep 30, 2014
Proudly kwaran is saddened by the highly disfunctional state of our health system in Nigeria. In Kwara state particularly, it can better described as non-existent. Yet our government continue to lie to the outside world that they have a system on ground. What baffles us the more is the prevalence of this dysfunctionality even in federal medical institutions. The case of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital in question is pathetic. What is the essence of the noise and the crticism raised by the academia if there is inherent disfunctionality at the very core of academic systems. The UITH STINKS both physically and operational wise and this is indeed unacceptable to the people of Kwara. For the KWSG, the state goverment should stop hiding its failures expecially in the rural health provisioning. If the Abdulfatah Ahmed administration is boasting of the rahabilitation of the five General Hospitals, it is indirectly telling us that the health policies of Bukola Sakari was defective i guess. If not, why did the General Hospitals go that bad. Again, for good eight years, why did the hospitals not receive any intervention? Or would Gov Saraki claim he did not know? Still at the moment, what is the state of the General Hospital Oro or all the primary health centres that the state adminisration deprived of funds when it illegitmate took over control of LG funds. The deplorable state of health systems in Kaiama and Baruten area is one in question. Also, somebody should ask the Kwara State Government/State Ministry of Health why it has abandoned its responsibilies for health provisioning for the state to international NGOs. Or What is the state of family planning care in Kwara state. Infact to say the least, Everything is the Kwara state health system has totally collapsed, same with the entire civil service of the state. What is the condition of service of Kwara workers? Do they not work under the worst worst condition of service in Nigeria. To say the least is to say that Kwars state workers are highly demoralised. We call on kwara people to take up a rejoinder on this issues if these claims are false, but if they are true, then sell this piece round kwara and sensities kwarans.
Proudlykwaran submits that except kwara people are rescued by whatever means, the future remains very dare.

Politics / Ilorin Aviation College In Total Mess. by proudlykwaran: 1:47am On Sep 27, 2014
The newly established Ilorin Aviation College(IAC) an aviation college owned by the Kwara State Government is already emmeshed is serious corruption cum maladministration thanks to the Rector of the school( an Indigene of Ilorin)
Among issues calling for the urgent attention of stakeholders are
1. The alleged certificate falsification by the Rector of the school. Some have even questioned the genuiness of the Rector's claims to practical experience in the field.
2. Abuse of training protocols and ordinance in the pilot training programme of the institution.
3. Low staff morale in the institution due to incessant and abysmal attitude of the Rector to staff welfare and matter. At the moment the institution is two month due in arrears of staff salaries. Surprinsingly, the College Rector and other management staff are still involved with spending spree while staff salaries remain unpaid.
4. Cases of widespread nepotism by management staff championed by the Rector Himself. Staff promotion and salaries are fixed on the basis of 'who you know' and other personally inclined patronages.
Our sources informed us that the Rector has now resorted to staff intimidation by employing law enforcement agents to intimidate staff. He was even reputed to have boasted that as far as Kwara State is concerned, no one can remove him from the seat because he makes his settlements all the way to the topmost echelons of the state authority.
Our source informed that fear is expressed among stakeholders in the sector that except something drastic is done, the repution of the institution and that of the Kwara State Government will soon be dragged in the muds.
