Yes, Germany may be an exception but you have to raise your a little bit further by being fluent in German.

No foreign employer would want to higher someone that cannot communicate properly.

Even companies in UK, US and Canada reject international job applicants that are English speakers because of their poor accent or heavy African accents.

I am definite, the case is different with IT companies. I know so many people(Africans and other foreigners) working in IT firms in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Koln, Dortmund without any German... but obviously, knowledge of German will open more opportunities and also edge. It is essential to integrate socially.

Other fields.. I can’t say

Focusmind:
People are asking why would anyone regret studying abroad? My people, if after studying abroad and you couldn't get any decent job afterwards, you would be full of regrets.

Some of my colleague in 2009 came to UK on self- sponsorship, paid millions and at the end of their programs, the Conservative government of David Cameroon told them to go back to their respective countries. Companies were told to first consider UK/ EU. Citizens before any international applicant.

It was a hopeless situation for many Nigerian students. Some came back to Nigeria to pick up call centre jobs with MTN and others while some struggled with entry level positions.

I thanked God that I came to UK under scholarship and there was no regret. Luckily, I got something on my return back to Nigeria.

If you want to study and sponsor your self, please head to Canada, New zealand or Australia. Avoid UK or EU countries. If you study in UK or any EU countries, you will be considered last in employment after the citizens of 28 member EU must have been considered.

Don't get me wrong, People still get jobs after studying in UK but it is very tough now. Most Nigerians go abroad to study with purpose of securing decent job and settling there. Most are not interested in coming back. If this is your intention, avoid EU countries.

It has caused a lot of depression to many people after studying abroad, paid the huge millions and come back to Nigeria to hustle for jobs with local graduates.

Some abroad graduates even hides to avoid people asking them questions after coming back to Nigeria. They see themselves as failure if they have nothing to show after returning back to Nigeria.

Germany is an exception in EU

Simran94:

The bolded is not true. Not everyone will be good in mathematics but that doesn't mean they are not smart... You don't need to be a mathematician to be a programmer.

If you don't understand basic concept of Mathematics, I doubt if you are going to make a good programmer(There are more wack programmers than the good ones). To me, knowing how to design a good effective algorithm, is the corner stone of a good programmer. Designing an algorithm to solve a particular problem in an efficient way requires applying some mathematics principle. And for complex problems, it becomes difficult for you if your mathematical background is not strong.

And of course, I don't mean designers, who simply design interface and or some front-end stuff.

If you can't understand how functions work in Mathematics, how would you have a clear understanding of how methods/functions works in programming.

If you don't know how to solve a simple logic question that will take hours of reasoning to solve, where as you could solve it within very few minutes with basic mathematics principles, then there is high probability of you making wrong or less effective decisions, or let me say more time consuming solutions in real life... that is why I claimed, one might not be smart if one can't think mathematically. I have not met extremely smart individual who is not good in Mathematics, no matter the field they may operate in their daily life, be it trader, business owners, doctors, engineers, artist... or anything...

Note: I generally assume, I am not that good in Mathematics... so I wouldn't consider myself smart.

I will tell you, Mathematics is the core of AI and Machine Learning that is now trending in technology.

Matrices and Vectors are very essential.

And Many More. All topics is very essential... Every new technology that's is implemented is a result of breakthrough in Science Research, Image recognition, your super computing and others.

The founder of Programming Language was a Mathematician.

How do you develop efficient and fast algorithms in software programming without having solid background in mathematics?

In my experience, No! but it's an added advantage.

The word Further Mathematics is deceit. I will simply call it Mathematics.

If you to study Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, and even some sort of Chemistry... You'd need to be sound in:

1. Functions
2. Differentiation and Integration principles
3. Logical Reasoning(Computer Science, Computer/Electronic/Electrical Engineering).
4. Vectors
4. Matrices

Which is what mainly comprises what you guys called Further Mathematics.

Do u know the meaning of "ostracize"? Or u are just another lying JW?

If you have to mean it that way literally, then you have no point. If a Muslim converts to Christian, or a Catholic Member converts to CAC, would the mosque or Church respectively still want to associate with such person? No, it’s fundamental, but of course, it wouldn’t stop a true friendship with the members of the mosque or Church.

It’s a thing of common of interest, rather than being extremist. They never harm anyone in anyway.

Note: My teenage gf broke up with me because I’m not a JW, she insisted on me converting, but I said no because I wasn’t convinced. And listening to her points, she’s valid... it’s a thing of common interest.

They like tearing families apart and ostracizing people who leave their church while their leaders engage in abuse of power and other sexual malfeasance.

Now feel it!!!

I am not a Jehovah Witness, but in no way are they extremist, I have attended a few of their conferences and gatherings. In no way are they violent or evil... This is so sad, I don’t know why they keep persecuting Jehovah Witness members?

When you got a job related to your course of study, you’re entitled to the EU blue card, which means you can work and live anyway in EU. After spending like 2-3 years successfully on EU, you can apply for pr. It’s even faster, if you study a stem course, like Engineering, IT, Nursing... and all that...

2. Does Germany allow students to stay back and work after studying ?.

3. Is there any program similar to Canada immigration that allows for citizenship after staying for a number of years.

4. And lastly I heard getting a house to rent is quite difficult in Germany . How true is that ?

Thanks for your time guys

Bro, My post was not meant to appease you or even be hypocritical. I stated my feelings as I said it and you have no right to judge me. For you to say I can't sit with dirt and complain of flies shows that hopeless mentality of being a Nigerian I talk about. Who are you to tell me who I sit with? Do you know my circle of friends? Can you predict human character till they hit you?

If our hopeless country was any better and had good human beings, why is everybody investing millions to japa?

Let me tell you, I better be in the midst of honest people that hate me than be in the midst of hopelessly dishonest people that love me. Fact. At least, I know they hate me and I will be careful. Than stay stay in the midst of those that claim they love me and use dishonesty to riddle me with bullets.

FYI, I raise hands to God and say that I have not negotiated for an offline. Its not even safe because you can be killed. We have seen stories of drivers killed always. Negotiating for an offline is That that same stuppid criminal mindset am talking about. What criminal man will get a request, cancel it and negotiate offline if not someone from Nigeria? Because they do it to cut Uber off fro the deal. Every points you raised supports my arguments albeit indirectly.

Nigeria is messed up with messed up people and you know it. Yes. Messed up people are every where including Germany. But the difference is the number of messed up people. The ratio of criminals in Nigeria far ourweighs the ratio of sane minds.

Nigeria is a jungle and a toilet.

Need I tell you one day I was on a trip and Sars people stopped me with two young boys. They accused them of being Yahoo Yahoo which is albeit a blatant lie. They told them to transfer 280k which they saw in there accounts. When they refused and it became heated up, one of the Sars men cocked his gun and right my front, fired one of them in his legs. There was blood every where. I was shouting the blood of Jesus. They said they would kill me too and tag me a driver transporting criminals to go and rob! If not for grace of God, I would have been dead. You reading this will read something stuppid on Instablog9ja the next day and praise Sars for arresting armed robbers!!! Can this happen anywhere apart from Nigeria?

Nigeria is one huge toilet.

Go to your international airport. You do know that due to the nature of my job, I frequent there almost daily. Everywhere is a huge mess. From the entrance to the exit, bribery and corruption everywhere. Its only in a huge toilet of a nation will you see THE ARMY, THE POLICE, THE CUSTOMS, THE IMMIGRATION, THE CIVIL DEFENCE, THE DSS, THE SSS, THE IRT, SARS ETC ALL IN ONE AIRPORT. IS THE AIRPORT A WAR ZONE? Have you not noticed the stuppid thing most of them do at that airport which is begging everybody money? Where does it happen in Europe? Do you know why all of them are there? FOR MONEY! FROM DRUG DEALERS, HUMAN TRAFFICKERS, PROSTITUTION CARTELS, ARM DEALERS, ETC

Let me inform all you first time travellers that you should be ready to face harassment from immigration. You must put something inside your passport! I have never been to Germany but I have been outside this country before.

Let me categorically say that You Sir are the problem of this hopeless nation. You tactly avoided the part where I said that I was charged 48k to collect my original cert? You avoided the part where I said I was feeding whole families but your stuppid opinion is that I shoulfd have installed CCTV from onset abi? If we had decent human beings, while will anybody stack food in coolers to take home? If not for decency sir, I would have called you a mad man.

If you are expecting me to paint Nigeria in good light whereas terrible things are happening here, then you SIR ARE A DEMON. Dont blind shade me again with things that are happening in Germany too. I have never been there and I can only talk about where I have been to.

Peace.

N.B

I don't need "saintly" Germans to rate me. Heck no, I don't even need there approval. All I ever wanted in my life was a level playing ground which your hopelessly hopeless country refused to offer me. All I needed was justice. Bro, my degree in Ghana is a first class and my degree from Nigeria is a second class upper with a 4.3 GP. Do yoy want me to cover my name and upload my certificate?

I have friends in Germany who have good jobs with plum salaries. In Nigeria here, iddiots are offered jobs while the bright minds are leftto decay. Las Las, they migrate to Canada or Germany which offers them immediate succour. Thats why your stuppid country suffers brain and mental drain.

I beat my chest and tell you that even if Germany does not work out, I will migrate immediately to another European country. I have set skills and I know I will be highly useful and sought after one day.

Post like this is what makes SA to believe Nigerians are shit... OP, you have a big prob...

Travel / Re: Why Do Nigerians Abroad Always Discourage People From Traveling? by pseudonomer: 3:00pm On Aug 18, 2019
Madlov3:
Over time, I have noticed that Nigerians abroad will always want to discourage other people from traveling.
Anytime you tell them your plans of traveling, they will start giving you long epistles.
If indeed there are no green pastures abroad, why not come back to Nigeria? Please come back and rebuild the country.
For me i think it’s black man’s mentality. An average china man that travels to America and makes it will ensure at least all his town people who are Intrested in coming over get settled abroad. Little wonder why you have China towns in most developed countries.
Same with the Indians.

The reason I guess is, most people think when you travel abroad, you’ll immediately started having things easy... the truth is, it takes an average of 1-2 years for most people to find their feet...and it may even take longer for others, and it’s usually very extreme hard times... If you asked anyone going through that phase you wanted to travel down, they are likely going to discourage you.

Secondly, some people are showing off fake lives on social media... and they know you coming to them will be “casting”. This is why you’d notice, that uncle that promised to come pick you at the the Airport never showed up or reachable. And some people are always believing you’re going to be a burden to them during your first few months and they are actually finding it difficult themselves.

And finally, if the person sense you don’t have clear plans and goals to succeed in your new location(You just want to leave Nigeria because you’re tired of living Nigeria), they are likely not going to welcome the idea of you traveling out. But if they sense, you’d have a bright future or you’re going to be an asset... They will mostly do anything to help you.
