Please has your husband gotten his passport back. I was refused over a week ago and still haven't gotten my passport. How long did it take for him to get his passport back please.
falilatu:
My husbands refusal.
He wants to reapply immediately.
One of the mistake noted was the self employed and employed thing. But the area of business not generating income , I don’t think they bothered to look at the business account statement. Two company account statement was uploaded.
He submitted the company account and tax clearance which was not acknowledged in the refusal. What else does he need to submit again

Gurus please help out. What can we do again to remedy this

Good Morning Everyone. Please I am a silent reader here, thanks to everyone who has been contributing to this platform. I just want to ask if it takes long for application to be received by VAC. Because since yesterday morning it shows transferred to VAC when I tracked it and still the same this morning. Or does that mean I have been refused. Do they transfer to VAC first before sending refusal email. Please kindly advise, God bless you all.

I wasnt given the chance to explain. I'm 28yrs old.
adedams:

I just saw this before my post, did you try explaining this way to the v.o. Ordinarily this is a good explanation for wanting your bsc. How old are you ? If you can't say it you can say the range maybe they have a problem with it. Overall getting a visa is really a subjective thing, we can't pen a refusal on something because we are not ye visa officer for sure

I'm going for bachelor's
adedams:

Check any loopholes in your application and try addressing it. Applying from Kuwait is your best bet. You are going for a bachelors or a masters?

Thank you. I tried using my previous details and it worked. I appreciate
bigfrancis21:

An account has been created previously with the same email that you're using. You should try retrieving your old password using same email as username login, rather than creating a new account, which is not quite possible because your passport number is tied to your previous account.

Yes my husband is a chartered accountant in a reputable comoany for the past 10years and I also work is a good company. I just need to get my b.sc so I can have a better chance in my company or elsewhere. I'm an OND holder.
adedams:

The consular officers at the Lagos consulate categorically said if you work and live somewhere else (the lady in question is evn married and her husband works there too) you should apply from there cos your ties are stronger there...go to USA embassy on Facebook and watch for yourself. Maybe it's the consular officers that are lying then.
@madam in question if you and your husband work legitimately there, you have a better chance there , if it's otherwise then I cannot advise o.

Yes my husband has been here for over 10years. I have no strong ties in Nigeria.
adedams:

Her ties are stronger in Kuwait. She works there and her husband lives there. If she tries in Nigeria she won't be able to prove strong ties to Nigeria.

My husband lives and work in kuwiat for over 10years. If I apply from Nigeria, I don't have any strong ties there since my husband is still in Kuwait.
TWoods:

Try applying from Nigeria. You can’t convince anyone you intend to leave the US to return to Kuwait after your studies. It’s obvious you are using this as a means to emigrate to the US.

My dad is sponsoring me
LagosismyHome:

Who was the sponsor in this application for student visa.... your husband or the friend. If it the friend that can be a hard sell because what the gain of the friend to sponsor you for bag which is 4 years

If it your husband then better.... not sure what help or feedback anyone can give you but to refire and try again. The ways in Kuwait might be slightly different. I am not sure for a fact. Interviews are subjective based on the Vo perception if you are a credible student or not.

No i live and work here with my husband.kuwait doesn't give citizenship
TWoods:

The result of your next interview is likely going to be the same. The number 1 criteria to obtaining a non immigrant visa is that you demonstrate that you have ties that compel you to return to your home country. It’s harder for you to demonstrate that since you live and work in a foreign country. You’ve already shown a preference to emigrate.

Are you a citizen of Kuwait?

Good day Everyone.
I'm a silent reader from Kuwait and I'm in urgently in need of you guys help.
I was refused F1 visa some weeks ago and the main reason was because I was refused visit visa in 2016.
This is the transcript

V.O: why did you choose New Mexico Highlands Uni

Me: I choosed New Mexico Highlands Uni because it's a public research institute which core values are responsiveness, diversity & excellence. It's a small & calm place to learn and grow. The computer science department has 2 large teaching lab, 3 small research lab & also an areas set aside for network experimentations. The classes are about 15-35students, this enables the professors to know you all by names and u can always meet them if you have any problem with your studies.

V.O: which countries have you been to

Me: Nigeria, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates.

V.O: where do you work and how much is your salary

Me: I told him

V.O: does your husband works for Us Army

Me: my husband is an accountant

V.O: ohh your friend works for US Army

Me: then I remembered the family friend sponsoring my visit visa back in 2016 works with the Us Army but lives in Kuwait. So I told him yes a family friend works with the USA Army

V.O: Are you going with your husband

Me: I'm going alone, my husband works here in Kuwait.

V.O: he types for a while and told me he is sorry, he can't approve my visa.

Please I'm planning to go for another interview by next month hopefully. I know it's hard to convince them since it's in their record I have a family friend in USA army but I need you guys help. I believe you can help me out. I just need to get this b.sc please. I will be patiently waiting for your responses.
Thanks in advance & God bless
