This will enable you to administer the server in graphical windows (similar to windows desktop) environment. The memory size is 4GB while the hard drive is 120GB.

The trained persons will serve the company for one year as pay back for the cost of their training in their capacities as technical staff members of the company. Upon completion of their pay back period, each individual on the programme will write the certification exam appropriate to course of choice to become fully qualified as certified professionals.
This programme will enable the company to possess adequate IT technical manpower to manage the company’s numerous internet technologies related and web based businesses while contributing to the development of net worth of each participating individual.

PREREQUISITES

Only 15 shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview while 5 will be selected for placement on the programme.

Of course you can change your web host even if it is the same web host that you registgered your domain name with.
There are three things:
1. Your client account which you log in to using your email address and password you used to sign up.
2. My Domains: the section of your client portal where the domain details of you registered domain name reside. This is where you will change your web host details. In this place, just click on the icon with the screen tip "view details" to see the listed nameservers (ns1.yourwebhost.com, ns2.yourwebhost.com or as otherwise stated). All you simply do is change the nameservers to those provided by your new web host. For example, if you buy a web hosting package from let's say www.hostlandafrica.com (the name of my firm's web hosting enterprise), after signing up, you will need to change the nameservers to ns1.hostlandafrica.com and ns2.hostlandafrica.com and that's it!

Linux4africa is a newly created forum dedicated to bridging Africa and Linux. It is located at www.linux4africa.com/forum. We hope to make it become a reference point in the development of Africans on the use of Linux operating system and break away from the self imposed bondage of microsoft windows. In Nigeria, only a few individuals can use Linux OS (especially as servers) which is the platform for most of the advanced internet network technology today- talk about running web hosting, internet service provision (like starcomms, MTN, Zain and the rest) and so many others.
I request that Nairaland kindly give linux4africa the needed support which in turn will promote nairaland on its board. Linux4africa was initiated by a Nigerian and his dream is that tyhe forum will turn out to be a reference point in Linux development for Africa.

You guys are right however, from many of my clients' experiences in the hands of MTN, Zain so called 3G fast internet (which they acquired without consulting me). I recommended and got them Starcomms which they have been using with little complaint. I think it depends on (1) on their server administration (especially the RADIUS servers) when trying to see that some bad eggs are not perpetrating fraud, (2) server upgrades to accomodate more subscribers (and I must be sincere, deploying new network servers can turn problematic at times), and (4-last but not the least) their uplink internet providers (I mean the saterlite uplink) which can (though rarely) develop issues.
All in all, I still find starcomms the better as I could comfortably use it on my wired and wireless networks. I strongly believe a word or two dropped at their website could let them know that while we understand their efforts, these hitches are there.
