NothingDoMe:
Nigerian politics is all about bribe. Tinubu the so called master politician is just a man who knows how and who to bribe.

That's why they are resoundly defeated and embarrassed at the international stage where they cannot easily bribe their way out of a mess.
Dont mind them, they think they can increase the salaries of the international judges also to get judicial favours. There is nothing as good as doing the right thing at the right time.

All these tri.bal divisions started during 2015 the reason i will continue to blame the return of Buhari in 2015. Before he came Nigeria knew no tribe among us. But see what he has done and to undo it, mehnnn it will take the grace of God. I feel so bad about this.

Let start Teaching with local languages . Many Nigerians are talented to invent and make good things with their local languages . English is not useful in china before they made lives , English language can not produce food and wealth for our societies. Education is the Bed rock of humanity but not languages . It is very difficult for people to fail if they are trained and educate in their own languages.
To some extent i will disagree with you on the bold part. I don't know if you have observed that english will be much easier than some local languages. Even in your language u will be surprised to discover that there may be some concepts without definite words for them, correct me if am wrong

My concern with this government is its tendency to rely on superficial solutions rather than addressing issues at their root cause. A serious and effective government cannot operate with this mindset and expect to succeed. Addressing problems at their source is crucial to prevent them from recurring. However, this government consistently opts for quick fixes. From the incident with the fake bishops to hiring thugs to counter protesters, distributing money as palliatives, using security forces to suppress dissent, and now setting up security teams to escort farmers to their fields, it’s evident that the government lacks the capacity and patience to deeply and thoughtfully address the challenges facing our country. All these symptoms were there before the 2023 election but we went ahead and now we are suffering it.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share some good news in respond to yesterday's thread https://www.nairaland.com/8174706/6-institutions-receive-2bn-students Well, my siblings finally received the first 20000 monthly Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). It's been a long wait, but it's definitely worth it.

A lot of us have been skeptical about the program, but I can personally attest that it's real! I'm so grateful to the government for making this opportunity available to students.

If you're a student in need of financial assistance for your education, I urge you to apply for the NELFUND loan. It's a game-changer for many students, and it could be the boost you need to achieve your academic goals.

I'm excited to see what the future holds with this financial support.

Let's spread the good news and support this initiative. Well done Mr. President
Your sibling is simply a DEBTOR(chain on his/her neck). No celebrations

Titusele87:
Court Judgment on 3-Man Committee: A Soothing Balm for the Electronic Market in Anambra

Titus Maduako Eleweke

The recent judgment by the Anambra State High Court in Atani, Onitsha, ordering a three-man committee at the Onitsha Electronic Market to focus solely on government revenue, is poised to restore peace and harmony in the market.

The market has long been marred by leadership crises, leading to numerous court battles.
Mr. Ifechi Anozie challenged the authority of the three-man committee, which had been set up by the government to collect taxes.
Anozie argued that the committee had no mandate to collect Union funds or manage Union affairs.

In its ruling on Wednesday, the court ordered that the three-man committee could only collect government revenue, including taxes and development levies, and was prohibited from collecting Union-related monies, such as those for security, electricity, and environmental needs.
The court also directed that the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the market to assume control of market administration until new executives are elected.

Speaking on the development, Mr. Ifechi Anozie, also known as IfyGod Electronics, described the judgment as a welcome relief that would heal past wounds and advance the development and peace of the electronic dealers' association in Onitsha.

"I commend the Atani High Court for delivering justice and providing a fair hearing for the Onitsha Electronics Dealers Association. The market has suffered since the elected executive's term expired in July 2022. The court’s decision on July 26, 2024, benefits the market greatly. I thank the High Court and the judiciary for upholding the rights of the common man and showing that justice is achievable," Anozie said. He also thanked the Anambra State government for accepting the judgment and urged market members to comply with the court’s order by paying the government taxes and development levies, currently set at N17,500.

He emphasized that the court's ruling mandates the three-man committee to manage only government taxes as directed and allows the BoT to handle market leadership in the interim.

Hon. Chuks Onyeizugbe, a former Special Adviser to the former Governor Chief Willie Obiano on political matters and an electronic dealer in the market, criticized those who deceive the government. He claimed that misinformation from certain individuals in Awka has led to misguided government actions.
Onyeizugbe expressed concern over the market's deterioration due to fraud and mismanagement and urged the BoT to collaborate with the government to rectify the situation.

"The market is deteriorating because some people are misleading government officials in Awka. The market, built by contributions from multiple states, is suffering because of these deceitful actions. I urge the BoT to take charge and work with the government. The governor is doing well, but some individuals are tarnishing his efforts," Onyeizugbe said. He called on Governor Charles Soludo to personally investigate the market's issues, noting that current revenues are significantly less than potential earnings.

Nkem Okoli, chairman of Freedom Line, echoed support for the court's judgment, believing it would restore peace and address the market's prolonged conflicts. He affirmed their commitment to paying all required taxes and development levies, despite the current high rates, in support of the governor's efforts.

The judgment, therefore, represents a crucial step toward resolving the market’s issues and promoting stability and fairness in its administration.
