I read i need a goverment ID card to pick up my Visa at the pickup center, but the only govt ID i have is my intl passport which is at the pickup center. I have a photocopy of the front page tho....Also, i have my official Id card i dont know if i can use that .....

My K1 visa was approved on the 10th ....10 working days should have been 24th but the public holiday made it 28th..however, i dont stay in Lagos but would be in Lagos on the 28th/29th for an event..was wondering if it would be ready for pickup so i can use a stone to kill two birds...

i just got a mail saying my documents have been collected from the US Embassy/ consulate.

The passport number being returned is (my passport Number).

You have chosen to have your documents delivered at ( DHL isolo).

i am worried because your said the turn around time for pick up for k1 visa is 10 days and also i am supposed to receive a package not passport as stated in the mail.

Also the interviewer circled VI as my pickup center as against Isolo that i picked and now i am being told to pickup at Isolo

Thank you so much for helping on friday..if i had to wait till 16th to interview the anxiety would have been overwhelming ...My worry is i checked my status on CEAC and it is showing ready for interview even after i have interviewd on the 10th and was approved it is getting me worried because of the rescheduling problem i had..i know i cant interview twice so the 16th is not possibel but he status is worrying.

Also i went to the page i scheduled my appointment and it is showing no appointment is currently scheduled and that my passport is still with the US consulate

Yes i got the letter from the site...i am still outside the embassy ..waiting for my car because i travelled from far.

I just read your input on frontloading a case and my fiance did not send in any picture,call or phone log all he sent was his passport page from 2013 when he visited to 2015 when he filed.....is it a red flag.. because i read that the evidence the fiance provides when filing sometimes determines the denial or approval of the CO because he/she would have fone through the file prior to the interview.

While the doctor should inform you of the results, if the results in any way affect your medical clearance, they must be delivered directly to us in a sealed envelope, so that we can attest that they were not tampered with.



Thank you a lot....but i read that no sealed envelop would be allowed into the embassy we have to open all sealed envelops at the gate.
I did not see the doctor the day i went for my result the receptionist only told me the result was ok that if not i wont be getting my result also i did not get a copy of the result. Ionly got a result with my xray disc stapled to it that i am supposed to show at the airport..

Welldone on the good work. So i have like 3 questions to ask..

First my interview for k1 was supposed to be on the 16th of july but i rescheduled to an earlier date because the evidence of support came in earlier than we expected hope it is not a red flag

Secondly, i had a medical condition six years ago and i have been treated and cleared. I was totally honest about it during my medical examination and the doctor was proud of me... i went for my result two weeks ago and i asked the receptionist if everything was ok since i could not see the doctor and the result in a sealed envelop. She said yes that if not i wont be getting the result. So my question is if the clinic has the right to hold a medical exam if the person has a medical condition.

The third question is for the house ... please who has his/her interview on the 10th i need someone to gist with while we wait

Also i want to do the same for our chat logs, cards and western union receipt i wanna put dem in a clear file so d interviewer can flip through easily....is it allowed.

Thank you for your prompt response i am really sorry but i have another questions ...

I have printed out over 30 pictures of myself and my fiance from a photo laboratory, however, i have other pictures especially with my fiance family members of 2 years ago trip...plz can i just make photocopies of the pictures from our photocopy maxhine at work.

Also i hope the interviewer finds time during my interview to watch our proposal video it is very interesting and short....my fiance is very romantic and detailed .. tho i have the screenshot of my actions during his proposal,can i come with the photocopies too Incase der is no time to watch d video..

I double-checked with our technical guru, who replied: "The bar code issue does not affect K-1 visas. He/she can complete another Form DS-160 for his K1 interview. Regarding the priority date, he should not bother to make any changes, he/she already has the appointment and the correct priority date is already in our system!" Hope this helps!

I have two questions please,...firstly, I made a mistake on my ds-160 form (when asked if I have the documentation for us immunization) I said yes and I have used the code generated to book my interview and when I sent a mail to lagos embassy they said I should fill another one but the code would be different and I might not be allowed in for the interview.

Also, when booking my appointment I filled in a wrong priority date on my profile page and each time I try to change it comes back with an error page.
