Guys, apart from BCS certificate, what other certificate can one use to complete the 2 or more certificate option.
Currently have a B.Eng degree.
Wrote the BCS exam in april, my result was not favourable due to classes clashing with my work hours and the course content of the exam being very broad.
Registering for that exam a second time will take approximately six months for the results to be out.

The painful part of it all is that I added it to my Wes ECA. My degree has already been evaluated waiting for the BCS transcript to be released, only for this to happen.

Sorry about that OP. Can you try a tutorial for the BCS. I failed CNT on first trial but found i did better after i took lessons in it. Lessons help structure your studying so that you are not overwhelmed at the tail end.

You are already familiar with BCS and starting another certificate may require much more time

I will sieve what i want AND also correct silly assumptions when I can.

May be you should contact an immigration lawyer. Always better to be truthful and consistent in applications and all we do. In addition adding a spouse post ITA may led to the recalculation of your points. I'm not entirely sure what the policy on that is

We are exploring this now. Thank you.

Please hire a Canadian immigration lawyer.
It’s always risky providing information that wasn’t asked of you so giving details of why he included you as married in his application may actually cause you more problems. I’m not sure the EE application asks anything about who you applied with. All they ask is that you declare any refusals.

Plus, it’s not your name on that application. He wrote your first name and his surname e.g Ravissante Femme, but your own name is Ravissante Partenaire. They are not the same person.
And he could have been married to another woman at the time he applied to America. will you be worried about not disclosing that?

A lawyer is additional cost, but it’ll save you plenty of worry.

But if na me, I’ll do as you originally thought to do: Apply single, get married after AOR and then add him as a dependant.

Let him answer questions truthfully
Q- were you ever refused a visa
A- YES
Q- provide details
A- I was refused a US study visa in 2021 and 2022. No detail or explanation was given for the refusal
(America no dey give reasons on why they refuse you)

Finish.
Risky yeah, but my mind carry am.
For you, please get professional help

Thank you very much. We are trying to explore getting a certified lawyer as advised. Expensive but i pray its worth it

First, let me just say this was originally ill-advised. I hope you learn from this to make better decisions going forward and not let a man railroad you or put you in a very difficult place to achieve his own objectives.

Now my 2 cents. Technically, and in the eyes of the US consulate, you guys are already married. If he supplied all your identifiable information (sex, age, name, maiden name, etc.). By near extension, in the eyes of IRCC, you guys are also married. When they look up your information in other databases, they won't use your biometrics to do so. They will use the same identifiable information he supplied and that could be enough to raise a red flag. Maybe they will push ADR to you and you will be left with no explanations, having already "lied" you were not married. And please note that that ultimately affects the CRS score you are claiming.

I'd just advise that you assume yourself married altogether, even if you are applying without the dude. If that doesn't affect your CRS score, all well and good. Go ahead and do some sort of court wedding to finalize the details so you'll have documents to back up your position. Then proceed with your application. Remember that you get a ban for misrepresentation, which appears to be the case here if you proceed without alerting them to your situation.

Alternatively, you can risk it and not reveal anything, and it may work for you anyways. That's also possible. A search with your identifiable information may turn up results that are not substantial enough for them to issue ADR or act or anything. But the real problem will come when you want to do spousal visa, in which case it will turn up you were already married and which will invalidate your previous PR application. That could also lead to deportation, since it means you never qualified for the PR in the first place.

Really, the decision is up to you. Assume yourself married like you actually really were in the eyes of these foreign embassies, or take the risk.

Dont you think jumping to conclusion in paragraph 1 is really absurd. Where in my write up did i say i was aware that this was done in the Us application?

Abeg, i appreciate advices given but what i wont tolerate is insults flung even based off on imagined theories.

Thank you.

Thank you @graciouswords, you have been quite helpful.

Without adding him, i am not ‘compromised’ because he didnt put in my full name. He put in my First name and then his surname. These do not tie to my profile yet as it stands.

There was also no marriage certificate provided then, only marital status showing married and then spouse’s name and in this case, he provided my First name and his surname.

By coming clean please; do u mean me stating categorically in the LOE that he had indicated he was married for the second Visa Denial? Or just coming clean on him being denied visa previously .

Thank you Graciouswords

It might be best to come clean.

One of the reasons - even without adding him to your application as spouse, if Canada and USA share very detailed info like marital status then you may already have a discrepancy between your info on eAPR (single) vs US (married). Haven said that, we can't say for sure what data US has for you (maybe name, date/place of birth, but no biometrics) since it wasn't you who applied for a US visa.

If you add him, obviously he will need to answer YES to the question about being denied a visa, if further details are required, he would mention the year and type of visa.

I was going to ask if he provided a marriage certificate to the US and if it was got from the registry (I'm not sure it matters though). Coming clean also means you may need to provide chats, emails, photos etc. to show the relationship is genuine.

Word of advice, thread carefully cause iRCC has sth called information sharing. This is a check done on an applicant by getting information about the applicant from other partners or countries. therefore, it is highly likely that they would be getting the information from USA and that is an automatic misrepresentation.

You could try stating the previous wedding was a traditional marriage and you just did the legal wedding in your LOE. That might work.

You might also want to hold on with the wedding and finish your process then invite him over. That's safer in your case and now, Canada recently made a policy aimed at speeding up the processing time for spouse. Good luck

Thank you @shaynehuey for your response. Indeed, there is the option of holding on and then inviting when i get there (after coming back to get married as wedding by proxy is not valid), however, my fear is what i am running away from may most like come up then as well. It is likely delaying the inevitable and that is why I would like to explore resolutions at this stage, if possible.

I am liking the idea of explaining that the previous was a Trad wedding and the one in June 2023 will be the official one and that was why I inputted single as my marital status in NOV 2022.

Quite honestly, ‘confusion is me and I am she’

Good day everyone, please i need advice on the issue below:

I have received ITA, passed Medicals and also done biometrics. My fiancee and I have our court wedding scheduled for sometime in June 2023 after which, i am to update/inform IRCC of the change in my marital status and then include him as an accompanying spouse.

The issue now is he had, in 2021 and 2022, applied to US for school and was refused VISA both times. Unfortunately, he had put in the second time(in 2022) that he was married to me and provided my name (i.e First name, second name and his surname) in a bid to show home ties.

I feel this may constitute an issue as i entered the pool in NOV 2022 as a single lady (rightly so as i was and am still unmarried) and this misrepresentation may be known to them when running their background check on previously visa denials.

Can anyone who has been in this situation or has an advice for this help with how this can be handled?

I hope you were able to solve this.

Also include screenshots of your examination invite which showed location of exam as Nigeria in the LOE and a link to the BCS IT page which showed this is a distance learning course.

This is what i did eventually. I included each exam invite showing Lagos as the venue for the exam. Thank you.

Indicate distance learning in CAPs in bracket after BCS and location as Lagos. Also include an LOE to explain why a PCC is not required.

I need help . I have the BCS certificate in IT and i got it evaluated by WES.

I received ITA and i am currently compiling all my documents to apply. However, i noticed i was asked to provide Police report in England and im guessing its tied to my BCS certification.

Can someone who has gotten PPR or has landed in Canada and completed this process (ie utiising the BCS certificate as a second cert) advise me on how this was handled.

Thanks in anticipation of a swift reply

A few things I wish IOM stated as instructions before I went:
1) Print your appointment confirmation from home so you don’t have to queue up to print at the car park. I thought a soft copy would be sufficient but it wasn’t
2) Pay for the medical before your appointment (at least one working day beforehand) and also print the proof of payment
3) When you get there, show the security men your appointment printout and you’ll be let in
4) They’ll typically direct you to the side for Canadian Medicals and you’ll meet lots of people there. Sitting down isn’t your first priority but rather approach the security personnel handling the crowd and he’d ask you to check if your name is on the appointment list (howbeit redundant). Once you confirm on his list, wait for him to give you a tally/number tag
5) Once you’ve secured your tally, you’ll see an IOM staff with laptop. You’ll need him to confirm receipt of your payment so you’ll give him your printed proof of payment (with your name as it appears on the payment form clearly indicated).
6) While he’s confirming, listen for when your tally number is called. It’s called in batches e.g. numbers 40 to 55.
7) Once you hear your tally number, you’ll stand and be directed to the registration point which is an office. This is very crucial as you’ll get the IME printout you’ll scan and upload to your PR application here. They’ll confirm your passport number, official name, take your picture, etc. The printout is key so keep it well.
cool After registration, a staff will write the room numbers you need to go to for each medical screening but people don’t follow that. Just be strategic and do the tests with minimal queues first and go back to the longer ones.
9) Price: I’m hesitant to state in case it has changed. It was 45k+ for adults but this is clearly stated on the website so check.

I hope this helps.

Thanks
