What is love?

Matthew 18:21-28
"21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?"
"22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times."
"23 Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants."
"24 As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold was brought to him."
"25 Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt."
"26 At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’"
"27 The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go."
"28 “But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins.[c] He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded."

1 John 4:6-7
"6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood."
"7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God."

John 3:16
"16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Genesis 17:1
"1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect."

Sin causes man to be imperfect
It is impossible for man to remove himself from sin because it is natural for man to sin.

Walking before God is the only opportunity to live a perfect life.

-God is interested in our perfection because he wants to bless us.
-God also wants us to be perfect because he wants to take us to heaven.

How to walk before God

If God instructs us to be perfect, he'll also tell how to be perfect.

Galatians 2:20
"20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

Walking with God is graceful.

-Walking perfectly before God is a walk with the word of God

John 1:1
"1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Psalm 119:11
"11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."

Abiding by the word of God enables us for a perfect walk with God.

A walk with God is a walk of consecration.

Romans 12:1
"1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."

2 Corinthians 13:5-7
"5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?"
"6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates."
"7 Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates."

Genesis 17:1
"1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect."

God commanded Abraham to walk before him because he wanted to bless him.
It is natural to sin, but it is divine to be holy.

Divine perfection can only be achieved when walking with God.

1 John 5:21
"21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen."

We should know that the wages of sin is death.

It is possible to abstain from sin, this happens only when we walk with God.

God wants us to be perfect because he wants us to be like him.

God wants us to walk perfect with him because he wants to bless us.

David is a good example of a bible personality that walked with God.

God wants us to walk with him because he his taking us to heaven.

John 14:1
"1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me."

We must meet God's standard for us to qualify for heaven, that's why we need to walk perfectly with God.

Genesis 17:1
"1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect."

The Bible defines sin as all unrighteousness.
So, divine perfection is the complete absence of sin.

In Genesis 17:1 God told Abraham to walk before him and also pronounced a covenant.

Genesis 17:2-3
"2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly."
"3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying"
"4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations."
"5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee."

Walking perfectly before God means to be pure, holy and without stains.

One of the reason God wants us to walk rightly before him is because he wants us to take us to heaven.

God wants us to walk before him because he wants to bless us.

Genesis 5:21-23
"21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:"
"22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:"
"23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:"

God will take us to where we cant take our self only if we walk with him

John 14:1
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me."

Genesis 17:1
"And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect."

Any time God visits man, it is because God wants to bless.

God decided to appear to Abraham to speak to him.

God had to announce to Abraham who he was before passing the message, God says I am the almighty.

Why will God suddenly request for a perfect walk?
God requests for a perfect walk because he wanted to bless Abraham.

Divine perfection goes beyond looks.
Divine means heavenly and what is not natural.

It is natural to Sin, lie, falsify record.

Romans 7:14-25
"14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin."
"15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I."
"16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good."
"17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me."
"18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not."
"19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do."
"20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me."
"21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me."
"22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:"
"23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members."
"24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?"
"25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin."

God understands that we are struggling with Sin, but won't understand the rejection of his call.

1 John 5:17-18
"17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death."
"18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not."

Sin makes wretched.

Romans 6:23
"23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

God wants us to walk perfectly.

Divine perfection is working without Sin

Mark 10:17-21
"17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"
"18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God."
"19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother."
"20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth."
"21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me."

Divine Perfection is not what can be done by Human power.
We need God to help us with divine perfection.
Give your life to God to experience God's divine perfection.

Genesis 17:1
"1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect."

Divine is not canal or of the flesh.
We can say divine is something that is not natural.

Natural: It is natural to feel hungry

Perfection means wholeness in completeness.
We can also define perfection as purity in total.

Divine Perfection is easier to understand when we understand God.

Genesis 17:1
"1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect."

Many times we quote the scriptures out of context, Perfection and Holiness is always in comparison with God.

Divine perfection starts with the divine nature of God.

Holiness is the imitation of God.

Genesis 17:1
"1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect."

God told Abraham to walk before him to be perfect.
Divine Perfection is walking before God.

Now we know that divine perfection starts and ends only with God.

It is important to thank God because the reason we were created to thank God.
Life can always be better and it can also be worse, in everything we should keep giving God thanks.
We need to know that we owe God nothing.

Luke 17:11-19
"11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee."
"12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:"
"13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us."
"14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed."
"15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,"
"16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan."
"17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?"
"18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger."
"19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole."

Thanksgiving testifies the goodness of God.

Thanksgiving makes us whole.

Psalm 136:1-3
"1 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever."
"2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever."
"3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever."

We should always thank God.

Reasons to thank God

1. We should thank God for the breath of life.
2. We should thank God for his mercies upon our life's.

3. We should thank God for his sufficient grace
2 Corinthians 9:14-15
"14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you."
"15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift."

1 Corinthians 1:4
" I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;"

4. Give Thanks to God for his Safety
Psalm 121:3-5
"3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber."
"4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep."
"5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand."

Isaiah 49:16-17
"16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me."
"17 Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee."

Daniel 2:21
"21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding"

Time: Is a period or interval

Revelation 2:13
"13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth."

God is time.
God is not bound by time because he defines it.

Season: Is a series of happenings that are grouped together.

Seasons are ordered by God.

Genesis 8:22
"22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."

Exodus 5:1-3
"1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness."
"2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go."
"3 And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the Lord our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword."

God can change a season.
Psalm 126:1
"126 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream."

Isaiah 21:4
"4 My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me."

Isaiah 49:24-25
"24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?"
"25 But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children."

This is another opportunity to begin a time of your life with God

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
"1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"
"2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;"
"3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;"
"4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;"
"5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;"
"6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;"
"7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;"
"8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace."

As we all know, there is time for everything
The events of Time is determined only by God.

What our immediate and far future holds is solely known and determined by God.

Daniel 2:21
"21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:"

God has the ability to dispose anybody
He can set a slave to become King in a twinkle of an eye.

There is time for everything, If you don't use it, you loose your time.
Time is a very important component of our life, we don't use it judiciously, we can loose it.

Daniel 2:44-46
"44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever."
"45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure."

Times and seasons are instruments to measure a person.
Everything that has a beginning has an end.

God creates times and season.
In time change is possible.

To everyone in life, the time of manifestation vary

Ecclesiastes 9:11
"11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."

Been brilliant is not an assurance of favour nor been the best doesn't translate to success, "Ecclesiastes 9:11" answers it all.

When the time of manifestation comes, everything begins to work perfectly Moses, Daniel, Joseph are examples of individuals that there success were manifested with time

Daniel 2:21
"21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:"

The Sun and the moon are signs of times and season.
Time is synonymous to opportunity, because they are meant to be used.
If you fail to use time, you loose it.

Daniel 2:44-46
"44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

"46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him."

Time cannot be bought nor sold.
Time and season are instruments of measurement, assignment, planning and perfection.
Time is so important as they say time is life.

Daniel 2:46
"46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him."

In human life, there also seasons. Seasons and times of progression, retrogression, marriage, education and more.
There are times which we need to be patient, These times are mostly when we are waiting on God in faith.

1. Change is possible with Time
Nehemiah 13:14
"14 Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof."

2. In Time a failure can become a success
Genesis 30:22
"22 And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb."

3. In Time the sick can become healed
John 5:7-8
"7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
"8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk."

4. The Oppressed and prisoned can be delivered with time
Act 5:19
"19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,"

Genesis 39:21
"21 But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison."

5. Visions are pronounced
Job 42:12
"12 So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses."

Ephesians 5:16
"16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil."

I do know God is expressing speaking to someone that all Hope is not lost and that he can change the story by stepping in.
This evening just like we have been learning that Grace is all about God and comes though faith in Jesus.
Joh 1:17.
This evening we will want to look at the God of all Grace! What is Grace? Grace is unmerited and undeserved favor.

1. Salvation is First work of Grace:
For every child of God you need to know that the first show of his love to us is the Grace he showed through the death of his Son Jesus. Our salvation was paid for by is Blood and we did not merit it. Eph 2:7-13, Rom 5:6-9

2. God has a Grace for every situation and challenge we may be going through.
When God gave his Son which is the best of all grace what he was also saying is that he can give all other grace. Rom 8:32-34.

When we talk of God Of Grace giving all grace it means God taking you to where you yourself cannot get to by your own self and capillarity. 1Sa 2:6-8

The scriptures is full of Men and Women who God of Grace showed up for just as he will do for someone this evening.

Abraham had ruled himself out of getting a Son through Sarah. I don’t know what you have ruled out for yourself and family that you will not get again this year! Age may disqualify you. Credentials may disqualify you but when Grace Steps in all that will not matter again. You need not go ahead in Life with your own sufficiency because it will not last. 2Co 3:5, Gen 17:15-21

Joseph was the son of his Father old age. He was loved by his Father but even that love could not go far to take him high. Gen 37:3-5. But the God of Grace showed up. Those that hated him later bowed to him. No calculation of man can do that. Only the God that can declare the end in the Beginning could have achieved that. Isa 46:9-10. Joseph was not necessarily the best or brightest. God used his gift to make a way for him. Gen 42:6 -8. Because he knew it was God of Grace that brought him that far he confessed to his brethren when their father died. Gen 50:18-20

Psalm 103:5
"5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's."

Philipians 4:13
"13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

It is better to try and fail, than fail to try.

Create your circumstance, and don't let circumstances change you.

Your relationship with God is personal.
A personal relationship with God is what you need. This begins after your name is written in the book of life.

Joshua 1:8
"8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

So much as the word does not depart from your mouth, meditating on it day and night and also doing what it requires you to do. This is what faith is.

Romans 10:17
"17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

Faith is always with the Word of God!
When you wait on the lord, your strength is renewed.

We must never depart from God's word.

Psalm 107:20
"20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."

Say what you want
Say that "By his stripes, I am healed"

Always say what you want
Remember, he said in his word that "Whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven".

We should always refuse the Spirit of Fear (Remember he said "I will never leave you nor forsake you"wink.

One day Jesus cursed a fig tree and left, when his disciples returned later, they confirmed the dryness of the tree.

Always profess what you want.
Even if the situation doesn't change for good, just keep saying it.
Faith comes on by hearing God's word.

When you wait upon the lord, your strength will be renewed and you will be the best.

Waiting on the lord renews your relationship with God.

You will be able to do all things with the strength of Christ.
You can have everything you wish only because you know the provider

Is their anything you wish to do? Just waiting on him.

Don't let your background put you to the ground.
Look only unto God.

2 Corinthians 4:18
"18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."

Remind yourself of his promises.

2Co 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Today we will be looking at an example of Apostle Peter in the Bible and how God provided for him in continuation of our theme Divine Provision. On Sunday We were encouraged on practical ways in which we can be Financially secure. The God Factor was listed as the last point and today we will be looking into this.

Divine Provision is all about God. And it usually starts when we start looking up.
Gen 22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
Gen 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
For me I am excited that all my provision is not all about me. It means I am not limited to the economy of this world again!

Today Text:
Luk 5:1 - 11

Lessons to learn from Divine Provision
1. It is not all about what you do or don’t do. The race is not to the swift. Our best does not always guarantee success. Ecc 9:11, Rom 9:16, Peter tried all that night and there was nothing. Luk 5:5

2. God needs you to be busy with him and for him. Peter lent his Boat to Jesus after toiling all night. The bible tells us he was washing his nets! What you have now is what God needs to use to bless you. Remember the widow that gave elijah all she had during famine. Mat 6:32 -33

3. Our Greatest Breakthrough in Life will come through following divine instructions that may not look practical to other men. Jesus told Peter to launch into the deep. Isaac sowed in Famine Through divine instruction and direction. Gen 26:12

4. When God Blesses you will you not forget him? Peter forsook all when he got back to the shore? The reason many are not yet blessed is because they have not completely surrendered to the King.
Peter even called on his friends to come to help him. Deu 32:15, 2Ch 26:16 2Ch 32:25 Dan 5:20

You can be rest assured that when God blesses you it is always to overflowing! The question is can we be trusted as Divine Provision

2 Corinthians 9:8
"8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:"

When we talk about divine provision, Money is the least God can provide.
God is able to give us good health, Good life, he is able to give us everything.

Psalm 37:25
"25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread."

God is able to do all things.
God is so powerful that he created Day and Night.

Everything we have is by grace.

The Grace of God distinguishes us.
God is able to make all grace abound to us.

We should all put this in our hearts that all things belong to God.

Acts 17:28
"28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring."

Philippians 4:19
"19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Gen 8:1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;

Today we will be looking at an example of Hannah That Was Remembered By God. But before we proceed lets recall some points we learned earlier in the month.
That God remembers does not mean he has forgotten us. Isa 49:14-16
God remembrance means not only you but all that has to do with you. - Gen 8:1
SIN remains a barrier to enjoy the Best of God - Isa 59:1 – 3

Hannah An Example of Divine Remembrance: 1 Samuel 1:1- 28
Hannah was loved by her Husband but it was not still appeared unloved by God. – I Sam 1:4,5
Sometimes in Life situations some friends and close relatives may not be able to help

Her Adversary always provoked her- Vs 6-8, our adversary the Devil will stop at nothing to frustrate and discourage us. He will always suggest to us that God has forgotten us. Even Job’s Wife suggested same. Do not cast away your confidence! (1 Sam 1:6-8, Hebrews 10:34-36, Job 2:8-10)

She took A step of Faith in Prayers even though she had been coming in Year in Year. We sometimes give up too early! We never knew how long she had been coming to Shiloh but it could have been a long time! What more can we do when we pray. I Sam 1:1vs10, James 5:17, John 16:24)

She refused to be discouraged even when the prophet mistook her for being drunk! I can imagine if it was some Christians today! They will stop coming to that church! (1 Sam 1:12-18) Don’t give up on God now! Your time is here!

God remembered her! Friends may have forgotten how you look like! Your situation is not unredeemable with God.

In closing The Bible is full of those who God remembered at an appointed time. Yours will not be different. He remembered David neglected by his own parents, He remembered Sarah and Hannah. The thieve on the cross asked to be remembered and God did not forget him that night. Psalm 102:13

Genesis 8:1
"1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;"

When God comes to our rescue, he remembers every aspect of our life.

Does God forget?

Isaiah 49:15-16
"15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee."
"16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me."

Our Sins can repel God from helping us

Isaiah 50:2
"2 Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst."

God's hands are too short, but ours sins keep us in bondage

Isaiah 59:1-2
"1 Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:"
"2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."

God does not forget, neither does he lie.

Divine remembrance is always remembered when there is a forgiveness of SIN.
Any time we Sin, we separate our self from God.

Genesis 18:10-11
"10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him."
"11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women."

Stop looking at your circumstance, look only up to God.

Genesis 18:14
"14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."

Genesis 21:1
"1 And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken."

Divine remembrance can only come from God.
God remembers because he is the Almighty
Nothing escapes the mind of God.

God has the capacity of knowing everything.
Time doesn't affect God;s ability to remember us.

Human memory and God's memory can be compared,
God has the ability to remember all things but man is limited in memory.

When divine remembrance occur, our Sins are forgiven.

Genesis 8:1
"1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;"

God remembers us by name.
God doesn't forget

Genesis 30:22
"22 And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb."

You cant be remembered if you are not qualified.

God remembers us to protect us
God remembers us to prospers us

Isaiah 49:16
"16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me."

When God does not remember us, man will not remember us.
SIN allows God to remember us.

Sin can make God ignore us.
Uprightness can make God remember us

When God remembers us, everything becomes easy and solvable.
God does not remembers us to be proud and arrogant.

Genesis 9:1
"1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth."

Whenever God remembers us, he pulls people to help us.

Esther 2:21
"21 In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hands on the king Ahasuerus."

Esther 6:1-2
"1 On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king."
"2 And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus."

To remember means to recur something.
To remember is for you not to forget.
To be put in mind.

Divine remembrance can bring about a turning point in a child of God

Ecclesiastic 3:1
"1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"

Psalm 24:7-8
"7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in."
"8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle."

When one is Forgotten, Pain is experienced

1 Samuel 1:4
"4 And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:"

-Stagnancy is experienced

When God remembers a person, within a twinkle of an eye, a change comes.

Habakkuk 2:3
"3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

The bible says we should wait for the vision of God and not giveup.

Job 14:13
"13 O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!"

Isaiah 49:13-16
"13 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted."
"14 But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me."
"15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee."
"16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me."

Diving: means coming from or connected with God.
Remembrance: Act or process of knowing an event, or bringing back a fact.

Means God meeting us in every area of our need

Genesis 30:22
"22 And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb."

Rachel believed God and was remembered

Luke 23:42
"42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom."

When God remembers you, your situation turns around

Isaiah 59:1-3
"Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:"
"2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."
"3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness."

Iniquity limits divine remembrance

Things to do for God's Remembrance
-Godly Living. Romans 12
-Act of Worship.

Humans can forget but not God, because he is the all knowing God.

Sin and disobedience can make God ignore us. When God ignores us, everything turns into confusion.
When God remembers us, everything becomes easy, beautiful, productive and successful.
God can suspend natural laws when we are remembered.
This can only done by God.

How can we provoke God's remembrance
-Through Prayers.
-ThanksGiving
-Holy Living

Genesis 30:22-23
"22 And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb."
"23 And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach:"

God's remembrance is a function of time.

Exodus 2:23-25
"23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage."
"24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob."
"25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them."

The poor, destitute also shall be remembered by God.

Genesis 7:23
"23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark."

Genesis 8:1
"And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged"

God's remembrance is a limitation breaker.
When God remembered Noah, he was freed from the limitation the ARk.

Does God forget? Can he forget? Will he forget? How can any Man make God not to forget him?
This month which is the tenth month we will be looking at the concept of Divine Remembrance and seek to answer these questions by the spirit of God.

Does God Forget?
It is not a pleasant thing if someone forgets you. If it happens to be your best friend that forgets you on your birthday you will not feel happy and perhaps feel that that such a friend is not worthy of your friendship. If God remembers then can it be said that he forgets? The answer is God does not forgets! This is reassuring and comforting that our Lord and maker does not and will not forget us.

One thing I will like to underline is that when the Bible says God remembers it does not apply that he forgets! Rather remembrance from the word translated in the above scriptures means to properly mark or recognize.
The Hebrew word translated remembrance is zaw-kar', If we check the CEV version of the same text it reads Gen 8:1 God did not forget about Noah and the animals with him in the boat. So God made a wind blow, and the water started going down.

Having said this let us examine some other scriptures that show God does not forget! Isa 49:14-16
Even when we sin against him he is still mindful and the watch out that maybe we will turn around to him. He is always mindful of us hoping that we will turn to him. Deu 4:27-31. Our Sin can however be a barrier to experience the fullness of God even though God is watchful and mindful that we will come back to him.
Isa 50:2-3, 2Pe 3:8-9

Sarah An example:
God promised her and Abraham a Son. Gen 18:10-11, Gen 18:14, Gen 21:1

Hannah as Another example. 1Sa 1:5-11, 1Sa 1:19

Genesis 8:1
"1 But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded."

God does not forget his children.
God remembers us by name.

If God can remember those that surrounded Noah, he will remember us.

For God to remember, Can he forget?
Does God forget?
How can man not make God forget him?

Genesis 19:21
"21 He said to him, “Very well, I will grant this request too; I will not overthrow the town you speak of."

Do you know that even in the midst of calamity, God still remembers us.

Genesis 30:22
"22 Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and enabled her to conceive."

God does remember people.
I Pray that when God remembers us, it will be for testimonies

Genesis 8:1 -ESV-
"1 But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the livestock that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided."

Isaiah 49:14-16
"14 But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me."
"15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee."
"16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me."

God can never be Man.
Man can always forget, but God cant

Even at the point of giving up, he doest forget

Isaiah 49:16
"16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me."

God never forgets!

Sin may allow God to ignore us.
The Bible says that God hates SIN.
For you to allow God to touch your life, you will need to step away from SIN.

Sometimes we think that accepting Christ into our life's is all that is expected of us to while we walk on earth.
we might think in our selfs that after receiving Christ, it is O.K sin that Christ will forgive automatically from them all.
God expects us to walk in complete Holiness and purity.

1 Corinthians 11:1
"1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ."

God knows however that we still have a battle between our flesh and soul.
Christ himself self provided a solution by sending the Holy Spirit, which is to guide us into all truth.

How do we allow the holy spirit to transform and perfect his holiness in our lives?
-Its a matter of receiving and accepting of receiving the Holy Ghost.
John20:22
-Accepting the Holy SPirit means we allow him take the decisions of my life.
-Accepting Jesus into our lives is the first step into living a righteousness

We cannot live in Christ and also live in Sin.

Galatians 5:17-18
"17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[a] you want."
"18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law."

The Holy Spirit suppresses our flesh against sinning against God.
The Holy Spirit ejects the works of the Flesh i.e Envy, Strive, Lying, Cheating, Drunkenness.
The Holy Spirit transforms us and produce his fruit in our lives.

Galatians 5:22
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,"

The Spirit also transforms us to be like Christ.
The Holy SPirit empowers us to live against the flesh.
Belonging to Jesus crucifies our flesh, so introduces us to righteousness.

Colossians 3:5
"5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry."

The Holy Spirit teaches us all Truth.
The Holy SPirirt gives glory to CHrist.

What does it mean to walk in the Spirit.
Obedience to Christ is the beginning of a walk in the spirit.

The Holy SPirit equips us to fight against the plans of the enemies.
The World, Flesh and the enemies are our enemies.
Christ has come to save us, to give us a new life and opportunity to eternal life.

Setting our lives to God should be done on a daily basis.
Success comes only from God.

The World cannot be defeat with the World, No!
There has to be light to defeat darkness.

The Holy Spirit helps us not to fail, fall and helps us to be faithful, gives us Joy, perfect our lifes.

Also, the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf when we are weak.

Living in real peace, contentment, Joy only the Holy SPirit can give us these gifts.

As Christians, without the Holy SPirtit you are nothing.
The Holy Spirit leads us in the paths of truth.

How do we allow thee Holy Spirit into our life's?
-Daily Meditation on God's word
-Accepting Jesus Christ and we automatically receive the Holy SPirit.
Religion / The Spirit Without Measure by rccgamg: 12:59am On Oct 07, 2014

John 3:34
"34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him."

God can give us the Holy Spirit without measure.

Numbers 11:1-25

God performed 42 spectacular miracle using Moses.

Exodus 14:21-22
"21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided."
"22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left."

Numbers 16:28-33
"28 And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the Lord hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind."
"29 If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the Lord hath not sent me."
"30 But if the Lord make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the Lord."
"31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:"
"32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods."
"33 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation."

Another portion of anointing is what we can see in Elijah life.

2 Kings 2:9
"9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me."

God also used Elijah for several miracles in the bible

1 Kings 17:17-24
"17 And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him."
"18 And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?"
"19 And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed."
"20 And he cried unto the Lord, and said, O Lord my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?"
"21 And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the Lord, and said, O Lord my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again."
"22 And the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived."
"23 And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth."
"24 And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in thy mouth is truth."

Elisha overtook a chariot of horses
1Kings 18:41-45

2 kings 2:19-22
"19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren."
"20 And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him."
"21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the Lord, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land."
"22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake."

How do you get this Spirit?

Acts 2:38
"38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

John 14:26
"26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

When a person belong to Christ, the Holy spirit automatically becomes a permanent part of his/her life.

The Holy Spirit is also our guide and counsellor who leads us into all truth.

How can I recognise the guidance of the Holy Spirit?

1. When our thought's do not contradict the word of God.
2. When we are obeying God's commandments.
3. When we do what is right.

What can we do to continually be under the guidance of the Holy Spirit?
1. Daily Meditating in the Word of God. -Joshua 1:8
2. We have to keep praying for his direction.

The Word of God helps and builds us.
The Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit ministers to us with the God of God.
The signs of the fruit of the Spirit is the evidence of the Holy Spirit's presence in our life's. - Galatians 5:22

The Holy Spirit will never lead us to SIN.

Overflow means: To run over in abundance.

Many Christians live the average life, meaning that they only have the ability to meet up there basic needs.

Psalm 23
"1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."
"2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters."
"3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake."
"4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."
"5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over."
"6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever."

The lord is my Shepard: Means you have somebody taking care of you.

If we have God as our Shepard, then it means we should transfer our worry to him.

Matthew 6:25-31
"25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
"26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"
"27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
"28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:"
"29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."
"30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?"
"31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?"

"Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

When someone is in want, the first thing is to take him to his original position. Many Christians tend to remain at this level

"Psalm 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over."

There is a point in ones life, that your blessings will be enjoyed in the presence of your enemies, So that your enemies will know that your prayers has been answered.

Why does God want us to overflow? Because he wants us to be a blessing all over the World.

-=Areas that God wants us to Overflow=-
Overflowing Salvation
Overflowing Peace John 14:27
Overflowing Love Matthew 5:44
Overflowing Provision 3 John 2, Jeremiah 29:11
Overflowing Deliverance
Overflowing Healing Exodus 15:26
Overflowing Blessing

Jeremiah 29:11
"11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

What you think about yourself doesn't really matter, but what God's thoughts are for you

How can you be an overflowing vessel? Sticking to the word of God will guide us to our overflowing.

Sticking to the word of God means obedience to the word of God.

Text: Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Last week we started looking at establishing the sober truth that we cannot walk with God on our own energy and strength. Obeying the master can only be done by walking in the Spirit. Php 2:12- 13
There are only two ways for a Christian to walk: in the flesh, or in the Spirit. So when the bible says we should walk in the Spirit it is only for our good.

How to Walk In The Spirit.
1. It is a decision. A conscious Decision. To walk In the Spirit then we must make the first step to accept Jesus. If you are reading this or listening over the internet I want to you to invite Jesus.
Joh 1:11-12,Rev 3:20

2. Surrendering and Submission:
Saying yes to God is all it takes to Walk in the Spirit.
“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25). Here is very simple instruction from the apostle Paul. He’s telling us in plain terms, “If the Holy Spirit is living in you, let him have full control of your life. We are all to be led by the Spirit.

3. Waking in the Spirit is Not a One Day Event. It is an all-time activity. Joh 15:1 - 7

4. Constant Reading Of God’s Word and Prayers. Joh 6:63, Psa 119:11, Jer 15:16

5. Constant fellowship with God and God’s people.
1Jn 1:5- 7

Text: Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Beloved I welcome you to the month of September. Last month we examined the theme the Holy Spirit. This month we shall be looking at Walking in the Spirit.
Obeying God requires Divine Strength that cannot be achieved humanly. Taking a stand for Jesus in these last days can be perilous. 2Ti 3:1 - 4
Perhaps you have considered serving and obeying God as being difficult and un-attainable? The scripture says his commandments are not grievous. 1Jn 5:2 - 4
God is also not satisfied having just a part or fraction of our lifes! He wants our all. Exo 20:5

God Can Help You Us to Walk with Him. Mathew 19:16-26.
There was a Man in the Bible that wanted to be whole and perfect.

He wanted and desired to follow the master Mat 19:16
He had done the minimum required according to human standard Mat 19:20
He could not do more when the Master asked for it.
He left sad and sorrowful because he was thinking of his strneght. Mat 19:22
Even the Disciples shared the same opinion that no one can be saved - Mat 19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
The secret is to walk in the Spirit. Mat 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible

To serve the master completely we must walk in the spirit. Gal 5:16 -21, Php 2:12- 13

Galatians 5:16-17
"16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."
"17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would."

There is no guaranteed peace nay where else than Walking with God.

If you are not walking with God, you tend to walk against God.

Walking with God cannot be done by human effort, but only by the Holy Spirit.

The consequence of SIN is usually greater than the SIN it self.

Walking in the Spirit is a concious effort. It requires a concious decision.

Romans 8:1-15
"1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
"2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
"3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:"
"4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
"5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit."
"6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."
"7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."
"8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."
"9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."
"10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness."
"11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."
"12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh."
"13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."
"14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."
"15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."

For the Spirit to walk in you, firstly you'll need to invite him.
Many want to walk with Jesus, but not decided to follow him.

You cannot hold-on to God and also hold-on to fornication, drunkiness, adultery, hatred at the same time.
You cannot walk in the Spirit and in the flesh at the same time.

We will remain blind untill we begin to walk in the light.

If you will decide to follow Jesus, then you will need to drop some friends, habits, relationships and lifestyle.

When you are walking in the Spirit, it requires surrender.

To follow Jesus, you'll need to surrender all to him.

Walking in the Spirit is living by the word of God. Not to walk by the counsel of elders, friends, parent but by the word of God.

It is good to be busy at work, at home, at various engagements, but still find time for God.

What do we understand by walking in the Spirit?

Have you ever thought to your self that obeying God can quite be challenging.
Obeying God requires only the strenght of the Holy Spirit.

Even the ability to abstain from SIN is only by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Humaly speaking, it is hard to abstain from SIN.

Matthew 19:16-26
"16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?"
"17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."
"18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,"
"19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
"20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?"
"21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me."
"22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions."
"23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven."
"24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."
"25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?"
"26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."

Many of us have translated "with God all things are possible", to only when we need a beautiful house, wife, car, career.
When Jesus spoke that word, we spoke it not only because we wants us to achieve good things alone, but he said it concerning who will make heaven.

A righteous life cannot be achieved without walking in the Spirit.

The plan of God is for us to prosper and be in the good health, as our souls proper.

Walking in the spirit require the assistance of a supernatural power, and that is the Holy Spirit.

Works of the Flesh: Adultery, Fornication, Uncleanliness, Idolatary, Hatred, Strive, Sedition, Drunkiness.

If you walk in the Spirit, you will not satisfy the desires of the flesh.

Galatians 5:16
"16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."
