@chamber2, thanks for your reply. Shebi na CBN wan address the issues wey u mention so? If every "government" official faces his or her job the way CBN officials have been facing their jobs in the past year, do you think these issues would have been issues? Remember, we have the legislative arm of government to make laws, the judicial arm to interpret and the executive to execute these laws. Me I feel say na fear all of them dey fear make the law no trap them, because many of them get skeletons for their cupboards. If they do their jobs, this country go be heaven on earth. That na wetin I feel sha. I may be wrong. Cheers.

I wonder why we as a people dey like to shoot before we aim. Listen, part of the statement reads "While the Central Bank of Nigeria will make general announcements and carry out public awareness programmes, individual banks are expected to do same. The affected customers of banks should be informed in good time by the banks with clear advice on alternative electronic payment channels available to them."

Conde Nast falls for $8 million email trap

All it took was one email to swindle $8 million from publishing company Conde Nast.

Papers filed by U.S. prosecutors in Manhattan said the publisher of magazines Vogue, Vanity Fair and the New Yorker, was tricked into thinking it was paying its regular printing company but was in fact being billed by a man identified as Andy Surface in Texas.

A company spokeswoman said Conde Nast does not comment on active legal proceedings.

The six-week scheme started in early November when Conde Nast received an email purporting to be from Quad/Graphics, the company's usual magazine printers, asking for payment to a different account, the court papers said.

Conde Nast, the papers said, simply filled out the form in the email, faxed it over, and began sending payments to the new account.

Late December, Conde Nast's real printer outfit contacted the publisher to say it had not received any payments, raising the New York-based media company's suspicions.

Commercial printing company Quad/Graphics was not immediately available for comment.

The forfeiture allegation, filed in Manhattan federal court on March 30, was signed by a U.S. Secret Service agent. The Secret Service often investigates financial crimes.
