Its nice to promote made in Aba products. It will be much better to fix Aba up. Aba is presently in a pitiable state. I really wish Ikpeazu can set his priorities right. Salaries are not paid, infrastructure is in decay but he decides to play to the gallery with fashion shows. It is a pity.
Politics / Re: FFk: Any Party That Doesn't Respect The Yoruba People Will lose the presidency by Realchidi: 11:28am On Sep 30, 2017
This is how the south continues to undo itself. Pdp has zoned the vice president slot to the South east but now fayose and ffk want it for the west. At least some gullible folks will now understand why Ffk has been supporting certain intrests in the east.
Politics / Re: Ayo Fayose Declares Presidential Ambition Today In Abuja by Realchidi: 3:11pm On Sep 28, 2017
For those naive people who thought fayose was supporting Easterners out of love, now you know better. PDP has already zoned the President to the north, vice-president south east/ south south. Fayose is just being mischievous.

what do people gain from inciting violence? These are old pictures na. Though I disagree with Ipob on many areas I wonder the essence of this military show of force. Dialogue remains the key to resolving conflicts. All wars end with peace talks why not hold the talks before war?

Don't believe everything you read online. I can tell you authoritatively that umuahia is calm and people are going about their business.
Politics / Re: Reasons Why Biafra Is Bad News For Igbos by Realchidi: 9:35am On Aug 04, 2017
You have to be realistic and factual in reasoning. Do you honestly think that in Nigeria of today that Igbo's can secede without violence? my brother think again. Already northern youths are asking Igbo's to leave and you think that is not a call for violence? See you don't start something which have the most to lose. Its not just about leaving, what is the cost of leaving in terms of human life?
Politics / Reasons Why Biafra Is Bad News For Igbos by Realchidi: 8:17am On Aug 04, 2017
As a full blooded Igbo man, born and bred in the east, I make bold to claim that the current agitation for Biafra is ill-thought out and misdirected. Here are my reasons;
1. Igbo's are the real Nigerians: Igbo's are found absolutely everywhere in Nigeria from north to south. In these places, our people generally have good relationships with their hosts and are the bedrock of commercial activities. They have become very successful through hardwork and also the enabling conditions provided by their hosts. One should not abandon a project he is part and parcel of. It simply makes no sense. There are millions of Igbo's in Lagos who are Lagosians to the core and can't live anywhere else. That's how Nigerian we are. Seceding from Nigeria will be an economic disaster for Igbo's as they would loose billions invested all over Nigeria. Let nobody fool you, leaving Nigeria for Biafra means loosing your properties and businesses.

2. Igbo land lacks the infrastructure to support secession:
Secession is not achieved by mere speeches and rallies. What plans and structures are in place to support the second Biafra? At present, the south east lacks the basic infrastructure ranging from roads, housing, water supply, power etc to be self reliant. The five south east states are landlocked meaning our external trade will be at the prerogative of hostile neighbours. Food production is almost nonexistent in the south east save for Ebonyi state. One would have expected those agitating to first hold our governors and legislators in the east accountable for not developing Igbo land. Rather we have decided to shift all the blame to the centre forgetting that our sons and daughters are also part of the decision making at the centre!

3. Disunity and Political immaturity: In Nigerian politics, we have continually refused to get it right and that confusion will be amplified in Biafra. Politics is a game of compromises and building alliances. The Hausa's and Yoruba's know this and it has helped them in holding on to power. Tinubu abandoned his personal ambitions for the greater good of his people by allowing Osinbajo to be vice president today. We Igbo's have no sense of sacrifice as its always about self. While that individualistic thinking may help in business, it is useless in politics. Our people generally show apathy to activities related to national politics as exhibited during the last census and even during voters registration. This immaturity while rear its ugly head in Biafra where different south east states will be locked in clannish bickering. We were once given the slot for Senate president and we ensured it went round the five states! Ipob calling for a boycott of the Anambra elections is another example of political immaturity.

4. Secession in Africa means war:
There is no such thing as peaceful secession in Africa. Africans are yet to attain that level of having major disagreements without blood letting. South Sudan is a good example. The current agitation for Biafra will lead to war for two major readons. One is the continuous inclusion of Niger delta states in the Biafra project. This a very dangerous move. The second is the loss of properties. Anyone thinking that Biafra will be achieved peacefully is in dreamland. And war will spell disaster for Igbo's as we can't match the might of the Nigerian Armed forces. At least not now. Those calling for a referendum should know that the government of the day will never let that happen.

The way forward for we Igbo's is to look inwards and examine ourselves first. Injustice abounds in Nigeria and anyone denying it is a liar. However, Igbo's should learn on how to fight for their rights within the Nigerian state and not seeking to leave at the slightest provocation. The people of the Niger delta agitated more control of their resources in militant fashion but never talked of seccesion. Moreover the masses face the same challenges whether in the north or east. Secession is not the solution. No amount of name calling will change these facts. Let's be bold and fight for our rights in Nigeria, the giant of Africa.

Politics / Re: "I Heard The Audio Inciting Northerners To Slaughter Igbos On Oct 1" – FFK by Realchidi: 5:08pm On Jul 04, 2017
FFK is an agent of destabilization and war. He should be arrested for trying to incite crisis in this country. My Igbo brothers should be careful who they listen to or call their friends cause this ill wind will be greatly detrimental to us. Before you spew rubbish in reply just think of the number of Igbo's in the north. Think think my people think! O ji oso agbakwuru ogu amaghi na ogu bu onwu!
Politics / Re: Hausas Asking Igbos To Leave: See What Some Northern Youths Are Saying Online by Realchidi: 5:10pm On Jun 07, 2017
One love to all Nigerians! Nigeria is our country and we all can put heads to make Nigeria great. To my Igbo brothers, I plead that we let the sleeping dog lie. Yes there is a lot of injustice in Nigeria but believe me when I say that the true enemies of Nigeria are the corrupt politicians and leaders. The true victims are the ordinary Nigerians in Aba, Kano, Lagos, Makurdi, Portharcourt, Benin, Kaduna etc. All these agitations here and there are products of frustration and injustice, but they are largely misdirected towards ethnic and religious lines. Let's build a great, united Nigeria by holding our leaders accountable at all levels, from the LGA's to the Federal government.

The refusal of the Okezie Ikpeazu led government to pay workers is something I just can't understand. it really baffles me that a state like Abia, with all the revenue from Aba will be owing teachers six months salary. It is really a shame.
