Education / Kings University, Nigeria Among Other Universities Receives ICAN Accreditation by realKingkelvin: 3:07pm On Apr 22, 2022
Kings University, Odeomu on Thursday, April 21st received its certificate of Accreditation of B.Sc. Accounting programme from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Kings University is among the tertiary institutions and tuition centres presented the Accreditation and Award of recognition by ICAN at its Victoria Island Office in Lagos.

With this certificate of Accreditation, students of Kings University can obtain the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting with an added ICAN certificate

The President of ICAN, Mrs Comfort Olu Eyitayo stated in her speech that the accreditation/recognition programme's main goal stemmed from the organization's findings that grooming proficient professionals necessitates quality control in the preparatory training they receive, the quality and number of those who deliver the training, and the instructional facilities in which such training is provided. Eyitayo disclosed that the Institute's accreditation of tertiary institutions and tuition centres is aimed at ensuring high-quality accounting education that adheres to the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) global standards, which is the same standard that ICAN examinations are based on.

While congratulating the qualified institutions and tuition centres for meeting all of the conditions for running certificate courses in accordance with the professional body's mission, she urged them to uphold the high standards that qualified the institutions to earn the certificate of accreditation.

Business / International Ministries Empowers Over 200 People In Osun by realKingkelvin: 7:58pm On Mar 13, 2022
Christ United Ministry International has teamed with City Changer International to feed, empower, and sensitize the people of Osun State.
The event was titled 'Jesus, the Light of the World' and took place at Orioke Agbara Olutimehin Constain in Osogbo.
According to one of the event's conveyers, Apostle Matthew Oluwajoba, the community outreach's purpose was to reach out and give back to society, particularly to those interested in starting a business of some sort.
Apart from feeding the people with the word of God, Apostle Matthew Oluwajoba said that they also availed us of the chance to feed them, donate food, empower people with skills and products for start-up, and offer them basic medical check-ups.
While expressing gratitude to those that collaborated with them and the consultancy firm that oversaw the empowerment scheme (Daytal Consult), Apostle Matthew Oluwajoba stated, "We travelled down from United State to spread the light of Christ and to demonstrate empathy to the people." We pray that this program will be implemented in a large number of locations where Christ is unknown."
Dr. Toyin Aladeja, Daytal Consult's team leader, expressed delight with the turnout for the empowerment scheme. She commented that the attendance exceeded her expectations, yet the plan in place met everyone's needs.
The nurses at the check-up station claimed, "We performed some minor medical examinations." Additionally, we suggested medications that may aid in the treatment of certain conditions, particularly hypertension." "We also counselled them on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and recommended them to visit healthcare centres or hospitals as needed," the nurse continued.
Mrs ————- Oluwajoba, the conveyer's wife and founder of City Changer International expressed gratitude to all program partners and stated that collaboration was critical, particularly for expanding the breadth of empowerment.
Additionally, she stated that the relationship and their presence were a means of extending their humanitarian, social, and goodwill to the community, particularly to vulnerable and impoverished women and children.
Following the Daytal Consult team's business orientation, individuals were provided with skills such as liquid soap production and pastry making.
“We believe if they take this empowerment seriously, it can be a source of livelihood for them,” Apostle Matthew Oluwajoba said. “It does not cost much to start this kind of business. With just a token that we will be supporting them with, they can start it, and it can put food on their tables.”
“We pray that God Almighty will give us the opportunity next year to experience this kind of gesture,” Professor Manurewa said. “And for the people that organised this programme, God will enrich their pockets.”
In the course of the programme, everyone was engaged with songs, dance, prayer, and other social activities.

Religion / If Your Pastor Is A Thief, Run!!! by realKingkelvin: 7:40am On Dec 09, 2018
I do not have problem with those claiming tithe should not be paid in church because it is not my money, it is theirs, they choose to use it anyhow they like. But one thing I have noticed is that they keep shooting themselves in the leg; one day, they would come out and say, “It is not reasonable to pay tithe” another time, they would say, “churches are not performing social services to the community”. Wait, with what money do you expect the church to perform these services? The money you did not pay? Or angels will drop it from heaven! Let us not fool ourselves.
I personally do not pay tithe because I am in expectant of God’s blessing (blessing is automatic for me), I pay tithe because my church put it to good use. My church, EMMANUEL BAPTIST CHURCH, ILORIN, has several projects presently been run by the church; (1) NGO (Hands and Knee), this is an NGO that provide support for the venerable (widows, orphans and the poor). (2) Youth Empowerment Centre, established mainly for the empowerment of youths in the church. (3) Social Entrepreneurial functioning clinic for the community. The clinic is totally free for aged people, children and pregnant women, while those in the economic window pay 75% of drug charges only (For clarity, I am presently writing an academic paper on this with both primary and secondary data as a proof). (4) Free wifi services (does not function during church service, every other hour aside from that “issa go”). (5) The church owns several schools; some of them are totally free while two out of all the schools are at very affordable tuition charges. As at 2016 review of educational editorial board, it was revealed that they were one of the cheapest standard private schools in Kwara State. (6) Free IT service by the church IT unit (they repair phones and laptops for free, except hardware is needed). (7) Church welfare unit make available food stuffs for student and corp members every month. (cool Community support projects such as building bridge for one of the Kwara communities and several others that I can list if needed. These are just few amongst several other services discharged by the church for free and almost free.
I was opportune to go through the church budget and disbursement for the clinic alone, it was running to millions, you know how expensive health is. Not to talk of other projects ventured into by the church. If you feel your pastor is the one consuming your tithe, leave the church, there are better churches that can put your money to good use, if indeed you have a giving spirit. Serving God is not by force, it is a choice.

Music/Radio / The Missing Story Behind G Worldwide - Kiss Daniel Saga by realKingkelvin: 3:37am On Dec 26, 2017
After listening to “No Do”, a song released by Kiss Daniel yesterday, I saw in it a beautiful blood rush that got me thinking, “How on earth did he end up with G Worldwide entertainment”? Because I must confess, “Kiss is just too good”. I practically scored all the notes in “yeba” thinking that is the best he would ever give us, then here he is again with “No Do” which I would eminently say is something I found captivating, thrilling, gratifying, mollifying and in fact enrapturing but the question still remains, “How on earth did he end up with G Worldwide entertainment”? Truth is, Kiss Daniel must have been so naive and fame-thirst, believing that all he needed was the record label to put him all out, not considering the damage it would have caused him.
However, the sad thing is that, G worldwide did not bring Kiss Daniel onboard, he brought them onboard, or rather, let me say they used him as a step to climbing onboard. I checked their website and they claimed that G worldwide was founded in 2007 but started promoting musical talents in 2011 but was reformed in 2013 and signed Kiss Daniel as its first recording/performing artist in 2014. The new question is, “who knew G worldwide before Kiss Daniel”? “G worldwide” was only a mere name. They certainly did not want him to have a smell of what other artist were enjoying, so they blocked his view totally, they made some of them see him as a proud fellow, they made him a shadow and untouchable breeze.
When you see a record label suing an artist who leaves, there is high tendency that the artist is giving them a lot more than they should be getting and they know his good bye can end their world. This is not just about Kiss Daniel, there are several artist out there been used by their record label. Remember, the slave shall be free one day!

Religion / Lessons From Christmas by realKingkelvin: 10:05am On Dec 25, 2017
It is expected of every Christian to embrace the lessons from Christmas: lessons from Jesus’s birth, miracles surrounding it and instructions from God. When these lessons are obeyed, it makes our Christian lives better.

The first lesson is the submission to the Divine will. From the account of Luke 1:38, the Bible made us understand how Mary reacted to Angel of God. She said: “Be it unto me according to your word”. Mary submitted to the Divine will.

Mary had received message from the Angel that she would be pregnant, though being a virgin. She accepted as the angel told her not to fear, that it was the will of God for Jesus to be born through her.

Mary released herself despite not having the full knowledge how the whole plan would work out. Ephesians 5:17 says: “Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”

There is need to know and do the will of God. There is also connection between doing God’s will and fulfilling your purpose in life.

Note that God’s will will never lead you out of your life’s purpose but will rather bring it to pass.

But we have many people today who are pursing their personal will at the expense of God’s. Some people also will not take a step until they understand fully God’s plan. But this is contrary to God’s way of operation desiring us of working with our Faith. The just shall live by Faith (Hebrews 10: 38).

Another important point is that God’s will is to be accepted even if it is not convenient. But when pursued, it becomes convenient.

It wasn’t convenient for Joseph to accept Mary as his wife when she was found with pregnancy which is not his. But the angel of God told him in the dream to accept her as his wife, that the pregnancy is from Holy Ghost and that the child to be born would be Jesus to save the world from sin. Joseph did not argue but accepted the God’s plan and God made it convenient for him to work with the plan afterwards.

It is important to note that anyone that revolt against the will of the Divine is simply distorting his destiny. The extent to which anyone will fit into the will of the Divine, to that extent the person will fulfil purpose in life.

The second lesson to be learnt from Christmas is the obedience to Divine instruction.

When Joseph woke from sleep, he simply key into the instruction. He obeyed! He obeyed in spite of the difficulty of the instruction.

Many people today only select God’s instructions to obey. They engage in selective obedience. But every instructions from God is to be obeyed. Every spoken word of God is meant and intended. Obedience must be total for it to be acceptable. Partial obedience is total disobedience.

Remember, Joseph did as he was instructed by the angel, and today we speak of him as the channel through which our Lord Jesus Christ came to earth to fulfil God’s purpose.

Disobedient people are rebellious people and rebellious people can not please God.
