shocked... Anyone applied for PTA recently?

This is not new. It is usually $1,000 if you are traveling to any country on tourist visa. If you are on resident permit or a resident visa such as VITEM, no one will ask you for PTA.

Hello guys, thank you all for all the insightful comments on this thread. They have been tremendously helpful.
My wife is just 7 weeks pregnant and we are looking forward to giving birth either in Brazil or in Mexico. We are currently living in the UK. Which takes me to my questions.

1. Has anyone applied for the Brazilian visa from the UK?

2. Do have to contact a Brazilian lawyer to assist with the visa application and advice? I would like to know where to start from.

The plan is to get her a visa first, then later on I will begin my own application.
I need help and advice on this please. Thank you guys.

you should get France tourist Visa if you want Mexico as France or any other Schengen country Visa will grant free entry to Mexico.

For the Brazil Visa you don't need any lawyer. You are to apply from the Embassy in London. Go to the Brazil consulate site in London and read the procedures and requirements for VIVIS visa. Also read this Nairaland thread and also send the Embassy an email for possible questions you may have. People on this thread are very helpful too so you can always ask specific questions. Good luck.

Hello bro, please I need your assistance in filling the minor consent form, most especially the latter part. Thank you.

When filling the application for minor (under 18 child) on the Brazilian Govt site, did you leave the digital signature upload place empty or did you upload digital signature of you and your spouse?

Hello everyone,

I am new here, and while this thread has been helpful, I’d like to get some clarifications.

My application was approved on July 1st and I was given 1 year visa. My husband & child will apply soon so that we can all travel together. I will be due in October so I want to ensure my stay does not exceed the 90 days duration on my visa.

1. If I fly with Qatar and take my doctor’s report with me, will I still have issues with them?

2. I understand I will need to get a CPF immediately I get there, will my family need to get one too?

3. Can you suggest good and affordable private hospitals to check out. How much should I budget for a decent hospital? I also need help with getting a good accommodation.

4. Can my family apply for PR after the baby is born? What is the process like?

5. Is it cheaper to buy the baby items here or wait till I get to Brazil?

6. Is the cost of giving birth through CS same as vaginal delivery?

7. Any other information will be highly appreciated. 🙏🏾

For applications for a Minor (child under 18) when filling the application online in the Brazilian govt site, what digital signature do we have to upload for them? or can we leave their signature place blank?

For the submission of documents to the embassy is submission of the Original Marriage certificate and original child birth certificate required? Or do we only have to submit photocopies? If we submit the original
Marriage certificate and birth certificate would the embassy in Lagos return them to us?

really! thanks for this useful info, well noted, you always boast my moral......pls give me ur email address.....

Make una stop going to US through land crossing. Be warned and be Wise. It is not worth the risk. Go watch documentaries on YouTube and see what people pass through trying to cross from South and Central American acountries to the US including in the US Mexico Boarder.

@Thetruth123, my legalization of documents with the Brazilian Consulate in Lagos is taking a long time. It has been with them since 6th June. Today is 14th June. They are yet to send it to Brazil. What do I do? Or how can you help. I have emailed the Consulate but no response. Can you help facilitate?

What document does one need to legalize at the Brazilian Consulate?
