Celebrities / Wizkid Becomes First Nigerian Artiste To Be Featured On The Billboard Charts? by rhondahudson: 10:31am On Apr 10, 2016 |
*Drake’s ‘One Dance’ shines the light on Wizzy’s International presence Wizkid has become the first Nigerian artist to emerge on Billboard’s Twitter Last 24 hours chart courtesy of his feature in Drake’s ‘One Dance’ track. Two days ago, Drake dropped two singles, ‘Pop Style’ ft Kanye West and Jay Z, and ‘One Dance’ ft Wizkid and Kyla. On ‘One Dance’, he gets assists from Wizkid, who he worked with last year, and Kyla, sampling the Crazy Cousinz remix of her song, ‘Do You Mind’. This raises the bar a lot higher for the star pop singer helping to improve his brand visibility. The tune ‘One Dance’ features production by Ninteen85 with co-production credits by 40. The single ‘One Dance’ is off Drake’s forthcoming album, after his “What a time to be alive” in 2015. The collaboration was said to have come about thanks to Skepta, a friend of Wizkid, who introduced the song to Drake during a Wireless Music Festival held in London. The crossover tune has gone on to have other covers and refixes with top artistes such as Sarkodie. Wizkid has had other international collaborations preceding this one. He has worked with Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo, Ty Dolla $ign, and recorded a hook with Coldplay’s Chris Martin for pop star Rihanna. A performance with Chris Brown was in the works also in South Africa at the ‘X Tour’, so was another recording with UK star Tinie Tempah, and Norwegian pop icons Nico & Vinz.>>>http://kejilove..com.ng/2016/04/wizkid-becomes-first-nigerian-artiste.html

Education / Wiener And Cybernetics by rhondahudson: 9:17pm On Jan 23, 2016 |
http://www.carenewsng.com/2016/01/wiener-and-cybernetics.htmlIn 1941, Konrad Zuse developed the world's first functional program-controlled computer, the Z3. in 1998, it was shown to beTuring-complete in principle. Zuse also developed the S2 computing machine, considered the first process-controlled computer. He founded one of the earliest computer businesses in 1941, producing the Z4, which became the world's first commercial computer. In 1946, he designed the first high-level programming language, Plankalkül. In 1948, the Manchester Baby was completed, it was the world's first general purpose electronic digital computer that also ran stored programs like almost all modern computers. The influence on Max Newman of Turing's seminal 1936 paper on the Turing Machines and of his logico-mathematical contributions to the project, were both crucial to the successful development of the Manchester SSEM. In 1950, Britain's National Physical Laboratory completed Pilot ACE, a small scale programmable computer, based on Turing's philosophy. With an operating speed of 1 MHz, the Pilot Model ACE was for some time the fastest computer in the world. Turing's design for ACE had much in common with today's RISC architectures and it called for a high-speed memory of roughly the same capacity as an early Macintosh computer, which was enormous by the standards of his day. Had Turing's ACE been built as planned and in full, it would have been in a different league from the other early computers. Shannon and information theory Up to and during the |
