Hello all
I work as a customer service representative in my office. I'm aware that it falls under Noc c, but my job description/roles fits a particular recognized Noc can I choose that Noc for my application.
Kindly advise
Which noc code does your job description fit?

Hello All,

Please I just realize that my job description in one of my places of work I intend to use for work reference (a primary health centre) for NOC 3113 (Dentist) does not closely match the NOC job description, majorly because I did not carry our any procedures (such as scaling and polishing, filing, extraction etc.). This is because the primary health centre does not have the relevant equipment. So most of what I did were examining patients with dental and oral complaints, administer drugs, refer to tertiary hospitals where the case is beyond what we could manage, Management of pediatric patients (Dietary counselling, fluoride therapy) and Oral health education.

However, most of the other activities I carried out closely match that of Physician Assistant, which is part of NOC 3124 (Allied primary health practitioners).

Even though I am a Dentist by training, do you then think I should change my NOC to 3124 post ITA, or leave at NOC 3113, based on the explanations above.

Duties. Not title.
Go with what matched what you did

Hello Gurus, I’m new here please. I have been following all the updates and I’ve learnt a lot but I am at dilemma right now. I received ITA 2 weeks ago and I am planning to submit next week.

However, I’ve been advised to be careful for the below reason. I have 2 NOCs but my primary NOC only has 14months experience. My total years of work experience is 5 years. I’m told I should have used the other NOC as my primary NOC as primary NOCs should be 3years or more experience.

Do I decline and re-enter the pool? CRS is 478.

Anyone with PPR that had one year experience in their primary NOC?

Please help!
Decline what?? Now that people are looking for ways to boost their scores and are uncertain about the next CRS cut off. You meet ALL the requirements. Your primary NOC must be AT LEAST one year, which you meet. All others can add up to make the total of all 3 years.
ALWAYS VERIFY information you hear from people, that's why Google is there and the IRCC website too.
Nairaland is also here,. Please go ahead with your application and God be with you!
Congrats

Good day everyone, please I’m new here. I come seeking advice as I am presently very confused on what discussion and path to follow. At first the plan was just SINP my husband was the one in the pool, but that route started taking forever (Covid19) and all. I decided since I was almost done with my masters program, and below 30 to go for express entry. I wrote the IELT exam and had a Band 8, using the cic calculator my point is presently at 481.

Out of nowhere SINP had a draw and sent my husband an ITA, honestly at point we are really confused. Now my issue is I can’t join the pool immediately because my Wes verification is in process, not yet completed. With this new french part way what if the scores starts skyrocketing? I understand 481 is a high score but with this EE nothing is predictable.

Please go with the SINP first. You never can tell

Hello all, good day. Please I need help with this question as am new here. How do I count my working experience?
I worked in 2015 in a bank for my IT after ND, after that I went for HND in 2016 and I was supposed to finish by 2017 but had a carry over in my project. So I worked November 2017 to October 2018 in order not to stay ideal while waiting to retake the course I had C/O. I passed the course and was awarded my certificate in 2018. After which I went for NYSC and finished March this year. My question now is, can I count the year I worked while waiting to retake my carry over course? Please elders and all help out. @Kekeerun @Ednot and others please help. God bless you all!
Yes. They require work experience for the last 10 years that was at least one year. As long as you can get references, you are good. Just use one as your primary NOC.
Let others contribute to it, just my little opinion.

I do hope you have contacted your bank first to log a dispense error debit query to the receiver of funds.

After i had bombarded NIS HQ with several calls and mails i was advised to mail uukuso@newworkssolution.com and he was quite helpful and reassured me of reimbursement. It will be good to note that Payarena denied ever receiving those funds on all counts. So I advise everyone not to use their merchant for future DIY
Thank you.
They actually received value

Like @Kolakad said, Contact your bank first because payment might not have gone to pay Arena. If that fails, use option provided of emailing them and tweeting at NIS. @nigimmigration

I’ll suggest using netpost for future payments.

Thank you.

I had this issue too during my application online. Payarena debited me after their site had issue and i ended up repaying through NetPost pay. Contact Payarena and NIS on Twitter and I suggest you mail them both too. NIS have a refund policy if dual payment is made on a single application
1. Does that mean the pay arena payment never went through you just had to repay on netpost?
2. Did you repay immediately?
3. Did you contact them first and was advised to repay?
4. How soon were you refunded?
5. What's the NIS twitter page? I'm seeing several parody accounts
Thank you

Yes i applied online, did everything myself and paid 25k for renewal of 32pages.

I captured on the day i went to submit but i assume that its because no booklet then. However it has been said that you can try to convince then to let you capture because you live far away.

My collection date has passed by a month so i decided to go there myself and it was ready. Once it’s been more than 2weeks since your capture and there’s available booklets you can head there to check and collect.

Please I need help urgently
I'm paying with Pay Arena and the website is stuck. I've been debited and nothing is coming up
I tried refreshing the page and it's taking me to make another payment.

What do I do please

I have collected my passport today, issue date was 17th October

Go to Ikoyi if you have captured in the last 2weeks or more.
Questions:
1. Did you apply online or you had someone do it for you directly?
2. How much did you pay please?
3. When did you capture? Same day you submitted?
4. Were you called for collection you you just went there?

Hi everyone
Hope y’all are staying safe.
Please I have a question

I have a year work experience as an admin assistant and 2years experience as a business development officer
Can I claim points for 3years work experience?

I have read the thread and also Canada immigration site and I am a bit confused about this statement

‘’ In the last 10 years, how many total years of foreign skilled work experience do you have?
It must have been paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation (NOC skill type 0, A or B)’’

Those ‘one occupation’ mean it has to be from only one job.
I am a bit confused
Please help.
Thanks

You can combine both to claim 3 years. It doesn't mean it has too be from one job only, but only one should stand as your primary occupation, in this case, prolly the one you have 2 years experience on.
People usually combine their 2 years experience with one year NYSC to make 3 years

Hello everyone cheesy

I am new to the canada hustle but I have read the first 30 pages of this thread.

I am currently in my mid 20s with a BSc and planning to use my CIPM as my 2nd degree. I also have 3 years of work experience (NYSC included)

My target score in IELTS is 8,8,7,7 in LSWR and I also want to take TEF Canada to boost my score.

Would you advise I take the French exam first before IELTS? I am also worried about processing my transcript because it takes like 3-6 months in my school
If you don't process your transcript, how will WES verify it?
Don't let seemingly small issues like that deter you from your goals.
You can do a short masters. But ensure it is legit and from a legit school. Even finishing that will take a longer time, though it will boost your score, and we don't know what cut-off would be next year
Also, aim for a higher score in IELTS

Play with the CRS calculator and see what the scores will give you, then you'd know that with your profile, 8777 is not that cool

Hello everyone,

Please I need help with my transcript verification from Unilag. 3 weeks ago, ICES sent a mail in this regard to Unilag. The NASU strike is not helping matter as I have exhausted all my contacts rn. ECA is the only thing delaying me. Help!!

Also, my IELTS result came in last week.

LRWS - 8.5, 7,7,8 (First attempt). I do not plan on writing this again . The reading score shocked me tho.
Age- 27
Qualification- MSc
Work Experience - 3 years

CSR - 475

I hope am good to go??

Gurus in the house, please, help me vet the above. Thanks

I don't know about your IELTS with the way cut off points are changing, I'll leave that to the gurus in the house.
But for the transcript, mine took like 6 weeks after 'awaiting verification' for the status to change to 'evaluation in progress'. I didn't do anything, not even go to Unilag. So since yours is just 3 weeks, wait for like 2 more weeks again. But if you cannot, go to school and inquire.
WES gives a seven week time frame before sending a reminder

Hello everyone, please I need advise on how to go about the verification process for UNILAG Masters. My transcript arrived WES Canada since July and got an update mentioning verification of my credentials as the next step. Should I fold my hands and wait for UNILAG? Do I need to follow up on the portal? Do you know anyone I should be reaching out to in UNILAG in order to help with the verification process? Eeeppp a girl please...

Mine took like 6 weeks after 'awaiting verification' for the status to change. I didn't do anything, not even go to Unilag.
But yours have passed the 7 weeks mark. I believe you should go to transcript verification office and inquire, although I heard that they are on strike but that should not deter you from following up.
