How does this post change the fact that Chad did and does a lot of the heavy lifting. That Chad has embarrassed Nigeria. That Chad is deemed to be the best military in the region. That Nigeria is ask but absent.

How does this change the fact that the Nigerian military is clearly pathetic?

[/quote

Sorry, it just shows Deby of Chad is desperate because he has been restricted to the border regions and can't share in the glory, hence he is mouthing off.

He has been caught lying several times saying he had liberated territory when he hadn't. His troops were supposed to clear thee towns including surrounding areas not raid and take photos only to run away.

No one can take this away from the Nigerian Army, not even your mechanics.

"SANDF wouldn't understand that as it has never been in real combat":
Battel of Govender's Ridge
Battle of Kibati/Triple Towers
Battle of Beni
Battle of Kitchanga
Battle of Nyiabiondo/Lukweti[
Battle of Bangui

Note, all these battles took place in the last 2 years.

Secondly im not dismissing that there weren't blue on blue casualties between American and UK soldiers, but you have to take into account that most blue on blue casualties were from aircraft bombing runs and not soldiers firing on each others.

Most, but not all. These were clearly marked vehicles as well. I even recall during the 2nd Gulf war Royal Marines engaging each other and took a while before they realised.

It happens a lot.

Nope I don't know it was the South African Navy, its yet to be proved.
And yes simulation is different from real combat, but the fact that you brag about Nigeria being in a civil war and thus are more experienced is shocking, ill rather be at peace than at war, but hey that's just me.

And our soldiers see enough combat during peace keeping missions, not as much as Nigerian soldiers(because we are not at war), and what we lack in experience we make up for in training and the passing down of past experiences by our Vets.

I don't brag about the civil war, although it did happen, but about real warfare in Liberia and SL. Not to talk about routing the Chadians and Maitasine.

Most people prefer peace, unfortunately, it is a violent world we live in.

Nope, you are the joke :

(1) Those two videos you compare are WRONG !

The first is NOT American navy, it is a mere civilian coastguard cutter firing.

The second is an unidentified Russian water security vessel NOT said to be navy, so NOT navy until proved....and that Russian ships is a damn old vessel with obsolete guns. All those videos are old aged films from many decades of years back.

South African navy prides itself in modern sea vessels......so you over bloated your ego with the noise about "SANDF is modern with sophisticated radar guided powerful guns". grin grin

(2) A vessel 22m size about the same size as a Nigerian navy Shaldag gunboat is a BIG TARGET O !

Thanks for confirming that South African navy gunners CANNOT hit target on a Nigerian navy gunboat, so our navy will sink your ships then !

Your over hyped blue water navy CANNOT hit a brown water vessel grin grin

SAN is a joke grin grin

(3) Russian video of sea men playing ? American civilian coastguard? Who cares? This thread is for African military forces, and we don't give a fvck about western water guards here.

Lets talk about Africa, stay on topic.

Now you want to excuse a South African military failure by comparing American navy? Really ?

Remember that for the [ast two years in Nigeria's Boko Haram war, on this forum if we say America is failing to stop terrorism in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen.....Israel is failing to wipe out Hamas in Gaza, Pakistan a nuclear power is failing to stop terrorism at home even today....You block your ears and refuse to listen or compare foreign nations, you focus all your ridicule and scream of incompetence on Nigeria, as if
America, Kenya, etc are not failing to stop terrorism.

Now your own incompetent South African navy is a big failure at home and CANNOT shoot a simple gun on target, then you want to use American examples to justify your own SAN incompetence in combat drills ? NO.....NO.....NO !!! This forum is for African military alone.

South African navy is now on the table for open yansh azz examination.....and we see all your navy's shiiit grin grin

You claimed to have sank a NATO naval fleet in war games with your SAN submarine without firing any weapons, sure if you fired your torpedoes, all will miss target and that NATO fleet will retaliate with ASW helos and sink your incompetent sailors and submarine .

SAN Mumus that cannot handle simple naval gun wants to handle naval torpedoes.....you will FAIL !

.

You need help bro!

I have not read anything official from the Nigerian Government that Nigerian soldiers were killed in that incident. I am not boasting that anyone was killed, even the mechanic, because it was unfortunate and just the fog of war. I was merely stating that they are accurate, maybe to a fault grin

But I am sure the SANDF wouldn't understand that as it has never been in real combat, just simulations.

Do you know how many blue on blues the British and Americans had in Iraq and Afghanistan? And that was with vehicles clearly marked as coalition ones.

The one with the SA mechanic was unmarked and appeared unannounced.

As of today.
Where did you get your fake map from? Everyone knows that the NA re-took Baga, Monguno and all the surrounding areas and Chad only allegedly (because they lie a lot) took Dikwa, Gamboru, and one or 2 others with Nigerien troops.

I use the term "took" kindly because they saunter in as if raiding a community with international press in tow (without clearing neighbouring communities), then announce to the world they have captured a territory, before withdrawing and then back to square one, BH move back in.

Their MNJTF brief is to hold an area if it is part of their AOR as agreed and secure it, not pose for photos like SANDF and leg it afterwards lipsrsealed.

Why Nigeria is turning to South African mercenaries.

http://theconversation.com/why-nigeria-is-turning-to-south-african-mercenaries-to-help-fight-boko-haram-38948

former members of the South African Air Force have been operating gunships mostly based out of Maiduguri, and have flown “a huge number of sorties, including nocturnal operations, with great success”. The mercenaries appear to have adopted a rather low profile, attacking usually at night and pulling out in the morning for the Nigerian government to claim credit. This suggests a deliberate desire to maintain a low profile and shows that the contractors are working closely with the Nigerian armed forces throughout this process.

It doesn't matter how many articles you post recycling the same thing. You and the Western press will have to Get used to a resurgent Nigerian Army. #NeverAgain, #ArmedToTheTeeth. grin grin cool

The New York Times is similar to "wordpress"? Please tell us how?

Whenever you are ready.

Again,

:Hundreds of mercenaries from South Africa and other countries are playing a decisive role in Nigeria’s military campaign against Boko Haram, operating attack helicopters and armored personnel carriers and fighting to retake towns and villages captured by the Islamist militant group, according to senior officials in the region.

The Nigerian government has not acknowledged the presence of the mercenaries, but a senior government official in northern Nigeria said the South Africans — camped out in a remote portion of the airport in Maiduguri, the city at the heart of Boko Haram’s uprising — conducted most of their operations at night because “they really don’t want to let people know what is going on.”

The mercenaries “are in the vanguard in the liberation of some of the communities,” the official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals.

What officials, what sources? There is an election coming up you mumu. You are being misled. If there are hundreds of mercs all over the NE in battle, there would have been loads of combat footage. Remember, lots of people out there with cameras. Continue to f00l yourself.

You are the one who spoke about people "on the ground". Therefore, it follows that the following should be pointed out to you:

"The people on the ground - officials at that - confirm that South African mercenaries are in the think of things in Nigeria; and they have been quite effective"

Naturally, you won't NEED the links because you've seen them already. They have been posted a hundred times over on the thread.

Facts are facts.

Your mechanics story does not come from "people on the ground". It comes from the administration of one Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Second - you are not "on the ground".

Third - reports from officials "on the ground" confirm that the South Africans are fighting; and that their role has been significant. Just ask and we will give you the links....again.

AK-47 is a trash weapon, its only redeeming quality is that it is cheap

Nigeria has no missile armed drones

Gripen can operate in the ISTAR role

And since we are comparing, Nigeria has no subs, no modern missile armed warships, no modern aircraft, no PGM's, no fast recon assets, no dedicated attack helo's, no data-link, no bluefor trackers, no advanced communication equipment, no mobile radar systems, no feild camp systems, no feild bakery systems, no mobile feild hospital systems, no adequate surveillance equipment, no advanced training facilities or equipment, no ability to air-drop supplies, no air-deployable assets or weapons systems, no standardized equipment (webbing, unfirorms, chest-rigs)

Stop talking out your arse

None of the above, you claim, and we are routing BH. NATO had all the above in Afghanistan with over a hundred thousand troops during the surge and didn't touch the Taliban.

What will happen when Nigeria has all the above equipment? cool
