I prefer Nigerians with little resources for travel to go to a relatively peaceful and politically stable african countries for hustle than to go to South east Asian countries. SE Asian countries (with exception of singapore) are the most racist and with least human rights records in the entire world, they are just closely followed by middle eastern countries. So, it is in your best interest to get out of that eldorado asap. I even came across your comment praising Vietnam over Mexico, lol. You are comparing a 3rd world country to a 2nd world country, you are clearly an agent. Enjoy your vietnam but leave Nigerians out of it, close this thread.

If you notice I am one of the people that first called you a scammer when you started this thread, the way you are being emotional and defending the defenseless is suspicious. Your deceit can be seen miles away from the title of your thread, why say Vietnam a 3rd world country is better than Canada or UK for Nigerians. Whether legal or illegal Nigerian immigrants, both will be better off in UK or Canada over say Vietnam, so close your thread. The link I posted earlier (written by a vietnamese journalist in 2023) says annual salary for middle class in Vietnam is between 7000 USD and 8000 USD. Middle class includes professors, doctors, nurses, bankers etc. You as a english teacher does not earn that clearly, how much can you send home from your miserly income? We dont need more Nigerians being stranded or jailed or organ harvested in south east asia.
NaijaVietnamese:
The difference between smart people and dull ones is that the former see opportunities where the latter see problems.

Yes, human trafficking is still occurs in many countries across South East Asia. There are cartels that use them for prostitution in the West because they’re highly sought after there. Others willingly migrate because their currency has low value when compared with Dollars or pounds. Big advantage for business minded people! It keeps their exports cheap and makes them attractive!

However, let’s use Nigeria as an example. We are globally known as the world’s poverty capital. Millions are starving and millions of others are seeking for any means to travel abroad, including going through perilous deserts and oceans on small boats! Yet in same Nigeria, foreigners are also arriving to work in the oil companies as expatriates. Why didn’t those people use the excuse that “Nigerians themselves are running away from their country due to poverty” to shun the idea of going there?

What oil company jobs in Nigeria is to expatriates is what ESL jobs in Vietnam is to expatriates.

Be wise!!!

Pained agents are so bitter that this thread is exposing their scams. Wicked souls deceiving Nigerians since 20BC.

I’m showing Nigerians how they can begin a teaching career and succeed, without spending fortunes unlike agents that deceive them to pay 2.5 million for ordinary visa that is just less than $100.
You this boy, I understand it is your choice to go anywhere you want and that choice may also have been forced on you because of your limited resources. BUT IT IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO TRY TO LURE YOUR COUNTRY PEOPLE INTO VIETNAM. Please close this thread now because there is no reason tenable why you will be encouraging Nigerians to come to Vietnam.

Misery loves company indeed. Anyone considering Vietnam should take time to read this Vietnamese paper first, goodluck.

Who is this one with inferiority complex written all over his write-up?

Do you want me to show you pictures of ten of thousands homeless Americans living on the cold streets in various US cities?

Do you want me to show you pictures of Americans living in poverty (that is living paycheck to paycheck) what we call "hand to mouth" in Nigeria...Whom are one paycheck away from going homeless.

Do you want me to show you pictures from top Americans cities riddled with shootings and violent crimes with causualities numbers equivalent to a wartime situation?

You said humans act like humans in America Lol thats a big joke there. America that has one of the biggest mental health epidemic in the world where a kid can easily walk up to a mall with an Assault rifle and open fire.

People go to America purely because of the money that is due to economic reasons. If you have already secured the bag, America will be the least place in your mind to migrate to. There is nothing liveable about that place. The best place to live in the Western world is the Scandinavian region till tomorrow. Even Americans are retiring Overseas ie Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, Panama, Chile etc you can look it up.

People who talk like you are the ones who were living in extreme poverty in Nigeria before traveling. The ones who teasted life before immigrating don't go this low.
. It’s so obvious you have not left Nigeria. You get ur information from the internet and hearsays. I read all your replies to that guy and I was wondering why he kept engaging when it was so glaring you are speaking from a place of ignorance. Enjoy your Nigeria.

When ignorant people talk with so much arrogance, I find it disgusting. There is nothing in Vietnam? Lol. Are Chinese people not crossing the border into US? So, there is nothing in China too?

You claim to be in the United States yet your IQ is like that of someone who hasn’t stepped out of his village. Firstly, the official language here is Vietnamese but their government & private sector are investing heavily in English language education because they understand it would help them. Thousands of Westerners are leaving America, UK, Australia to teach in Vietnam, I guess they’re stupid to do that? We are 11 that came for the program in my set, I’m the only African & only Black, the rest came from the West.

In District 1, there are probably more foreigners, particularly from USA/UK/Australia/Europe than locals, so if there is nothing in Vietnam, why are they all coming here?

People from USA or UK can come to teach in Vietnam and find it rewarding enough (some even go to Cambodia that is lesser developed than Vietnam because they don’t have a degree), but you believe someone from a poor country like Nigeria won’t find it rewarding, doing same job those Whites are doing? Even when the Nigerian has the added advantage of doing business which those Whites can’t do?

Do you even know what is called comparative advantage?

You’re too dull abeg & must still be living in your village.
ogbeni shut up, thousands of americans, brits are in Burundi the poorest country in Africa too, they can move in and move out, its just life experience and adventure to them. I am telling u people who are doctors, engineers from vietnam are crossing border illegally yearly to US and u are comparing with citizens who came in on their own and can leave asap. Vietnam is not a country for a nIgerian to go and hustle, suffer no dey tire u people, I will leave this thread now, everyone should do what they want and if u fall victim to a visa syndicate like this guy, na u sabi.

There is nothing in Vietnam, I work directly with Vietnamese here in the US and they are one of the asian countries that send the most people to cross the US border illegally every year. Vietnam is farther than Nigeria to the US and have a lower population than Nigeria, yet more Vietnamese cross US border illegally than Nigerians, think about it. Something must be chasing them since Vietnam is not at war. if they are not running away for their life, it must be for economic reasons. It is someone wey don chop go learn english, so dead the thought of going to teach english in Vietnam and dont get scammed by thieves like this OP.

You are just too du*b, if you think it's a scam why Nat wait for Op to name his price before you attack him, From all I've read here on this thread is all about doing it yourself, so where is the scam in that?

I advise you channel your frustration to the right path
You are very slow and dull, he is using a format known to everyone, he is indirectly advertising one useless school in vietnam while screaming do it yourself, foolish people like you will reach out to him to get connected to the school and he will cash out 2000 USD by telling u he will pay the money to school vietnamese account on ur behalf while u pay him naira equivalent, I hate foolish people because they cause problems for not only themselves but others suffer their folly directly or indirectly. TUEH

NaijaVietnamese:

It seems travel agents have ripped you off before and that’s why everyone is a travel agent in your eyes.

If only some of you will apply common sense, you will see that I have been encouraging people to do it themselves and not use agent. Why will a travel agent advise people to do it themselves?

I almost went to class late this morning because I was trying to make this post quickly before going to training.

Anyways, smart ones will key in while others are shouting agents.
I put it to you that you are not even in vietnam, you are just looking to rip off your fellow country men, if it is sure for u, snap in a place where the background will show something related to vietnam, cover ur face but write ur nl username on a paper and diaplay it to camera.
NaijaVietnamese:

Is this willful ignorance or just tomfoolery?

Anyways, you need to read again to understand what the post is all about. To help you, I specifically mentioned Nigerians going to do ESL teaching or digital nomad! Anything aside that might be suicidal for Nigerians in Vietnam.

I have seen lots of Nigerians who are stranded here and they were probably deceived by agents. You will see some of them hanging around some African restaurants that are owned by Igbos. They usually beg me for money whenever I go to eat and I give them if I have.

You can do menial jobs in advanced countries and still make money for investments back home. They have hard currency and they lack citizens to do those undesirable jobs, unlike developing countries where there are enough citizens ready to do such menial jobs.

Be guided!

Oga, that is how you people deceive people to come in and be doing rubbish in the US. You want someone who could afford to come into the US, spend 10M on the process to come and start washing plates and living in shelters. Someone who probably was doing well in Nigeria.

No be say them say, My own childhood friend entered Yankee, overstayed his visa and tried to apply for asylum using bogus claims. Marry oyinbo, e no work. Eventually, it didn't work out and he moved to Canada, still trying to apply for asylum. Didn't work out. He is back to Naija and doing very well.

Those that want to go, let them prepare well for the realities on ground, stop pushing them to their doom, talking about those on expired visas making it and all. You want someone who probably resigned from Zenith Bank to come and be flipping burgers in the US.
Typical Nigerian, always reacting before they think, I am not advocating for japa and it is not my business to decide what anyone thinks is better for them. My post is targetted at the story posted that it is not true given the timeline of 1 month, I am not saying people dont choose to return to Nigeria or move elsewhere, how difficult can comprehension be? The poster already pointed my attention to the fact that he copied the post and not his own experience which meant who ever posted it initially was only catching cruise, my point exactly.

What ednut posted is a lie, which makes me wonder what he intends to achieve? He seems to rejoice in the misfortunes of Nigerians trying to make a life for themselves outside Nigeria with little funds going by all his posts on this forum. I live in the US and there is no way anyone will come to the US on student visa and return to Nigeria within one month when even those who are overstaying visitor visas are yet to return and there are plenty border crossers moving to US daily. Why would someone who has all his family in the US and living legally will return simply because funds is depleted. Lets even say fund is depleted how did he raise money for flight tickets to Nigeria for 5 people within that short duration when we know how expensive flight tickets could be. Mind you there are currently no homeless on the streets or in a tent like we saw in Canada right now in the US, there are shelters for them regardless of immigration status due to the cold weather. There are also access to student loans, credit cards, food pantries, plenty undertable jobs to stay afloat for anyone who is struggling in the US. He comes across as a priviledge folk who derides joy in the misfortune of his fellow Nigerians.

I offered to host him alone at my house for up too 6 months to settle down, get a car, apartment and then bring his family to join him. Apparently, wifey didn’t like the idea and she insisted on coming together as a family. To cut the story short, he came to the US Dec 15th, 2023 without informing me, he only reach out to me after his funds ran out Dec 23rd. No money, no where to go and no one will receive a family of 5. After spending close to N10m in a matter of weeks including cost of ticket , he decided to go back to Nigeria. As we speak now, he’s back to Nigeria. He learnt a very serious lesson. Japa required ALOT OF PPANNING, YOU CANNOT WING IT.

No matter what you say alot of people won’t listen. Imagine a family of 4 on student visa looking for 1 room to rent . Wetin musa no go see for gate
To be honest I will never encourage a married man to leave Nigeria. Probably plan to have kids in countries that can give you citizenship. Carrying your whole family on student visa is a very stupid decision even if you get a scholarship. Most scholarship funds are only enough to take care of one person alone and not a family of 4 to 5 people.

Lol, I expected something like this. Graduating with a 3rd class doesn’t mean I’m not sound. Like I said, it was a marginal 3rd class. And why do you think I or any other person doesn’t need a shot at redemption? Mind you GRE is not a school examination but an aptitude exam. Haven’t you even seen 3rd class graduates going out there and they do better than what they did here? Let him decide on who he wants to give the voucher anyway.
MamaOO:

Wow. Just wow. Why are you people like this for Gods sake? So because he/she graduated with a third class they can’t pass GRE? What sort of reasoning is this?!

Do you know what circumstances led to the 3rd class? Y’all just open mouth. Smdh
My post is not to deride you or any 3rd class graduate, everyone deserves a second chance and many things could have lead to ur 3rd class (I know a friend who dropped out due to finance issues). That said, the voucher is just one, let him give it to anyone with a scholarstic profile but lacks the required funds for GRE, that way everyone will be certain the voucher will be put to good use. As for you, ur 3rd class could be a result of ur poor studying skills and also because u did not pay for the GRE u may end up bottling it for the same reason that made u end up with a 3rd class. Life is hard its just the bitter truth and that is why scholarship bodies look out for some scholarstic profile before awarding scholarships because they know every failure will have an excuse for their failure, so opportunities like this are not meant for people like u, truth is bitter.

I believe with the GRE and a WES evaluation I will be able to boost my chances albeit I do not have the resources to do both at the moment. Thanks in anticipation.
If u graduate witha third class then u are not the ideal candidate because u will end up wasting the voucher with a poor score.

I have some questions;

1. How valid is the school and scholarship, who knows about that or who can help with that?

2. In the email, it's said that I'd pay $300 as enrollment deposit,is that how it's done?

Please I need your words.
Tell them to waive the enrollment deposit or deduct it from your scholarship. Dont ever pay any enrollment deposit because it is non refundable and it does not boost your visa chance. In fact any school with enrollment deposit is a red flag to VO
