Whaow...it's been months since I was here. So much work...Hamburg is cool though.
@Blessedsamson....ezekuse has just given you the best answer. You need to have enough funds before coming here. It is not advisable to get a loan because jobs are not so easy to get here if you cannot speak German fluently. Even the mini jobs are not many for English speakers. Hmmmmmmm...eyes have seen here. Not easy to survive. So just chill, plan well, source for funds and come in October. School resumes in April.
Best of luck to you and others.

ezekuse:
@blessedsamson please try not to spam the thread with your post it is counterproductive.

According to your post it is evident that your finances are not even secure for your studies and that is why you are seeking financial assistance with personal collateral on a public forum which I think just shows your desperation to get to Germany and imagine the disappointment when your fantasy of making so much euros as a student to pay back the loan you secured with this said collateral dissipates into thin air; studying abroad requires careful thought, planning and execution and adequate finances plays a vital role from when you send your applications to when you finally graduate from the program and I hope you do realise that the german consulate is not obligated to respond to your appeal before April 1st or any extended resumption date even if your school intervene on your behalf. Just a word of advice, defer your admission to winter and sort out your finances before thinking of going to Germany to study.

Am happy for u bro. Congrats. So how did it go? Did u write to the embassy about ur issue after confirming from alien office that ur documents has not yet been received.
I bombarded the school, course coordinator and Alien Office with mails. Above all, it was God that did it.

@RoyalPurple I suggest you get in touch with the alien's office. Those of us (Sponsorship Letter Applicants) who have contacted them were made to understand that our documents have not been delivered to the alien's office.
So if our docs have not been delivered, what do we do considering the deadline for resumption and enrollment....

What is wrong with using a SPONSORSHIP LETTER?
Visa interview was held 25th August. Just this morning, the alien's office told me they only received my application electronically (from the embassy) on the 10th of September (16 days after interview) and that they are still waiting for the embassy to send my original documents to them (alien's office).

Panic mode activated as enrolment deadline is 14 days away...

Sponsorship Letter-Visa Applicants...it is time to be prayerful oooo. Has anyone gotten visa yet? It is well o

Oh ok. Which makes it 4 working days now. Did you fund your account before interview? If no, have you received "fund your account mail"?
Apart from fund your account mail, just prayed you don't receive any from them throughout this week. If you don't, then you are %80 on course. May God see you through. Meanwhile, did you write test before interview or after interview?
What do you guys mean by getting a mail from the embassy same week of your interview Is there any problem in that? This is because I was contacted to provide an additional document the day after my interview which I already did.

Ur welcome.. Send an email, try not to sound desperate. Just casually ask what the status of ur application is at this point. Use your visa application number on the subject.
As for ur aliens office, it's it's just like an immigration office. They normally have to review who is coming in to the country, why and how long. They make the ultimate decisions as to whether u get a visa, or not. The embassy take the order from them.
So now find online the Ausländer Behörde of your intended city and start pushing hard, from both sides. U don't have much time left.
Good luck!
That was a very wonderful suggestion, but won't the German Embassy in Nigeria find out and will they not think you are going behind their back. Just thinking cos i am in the same shoes and my deadline is October 1st

Hello Guys, it's so nice to be here. I had my interview on 18th August using a sponsorship letter.
How long does it take the embassy to reply considering my resumption on 1st October and what are the chances of we that used sponsorship letters. I will appreciate answers from guys who used this letter and are already in Germany or some one who knows these guys. Danke.

Dynssy: Well, I really don't c ur reasons 4 name calling here. The Beam has bn mature and logical with his submissions. And there's no compulsion to agree with him. I really do not c how having a diff view on a subject amounts 2 'making trouble'.

People get invited 4 TS with dates and venue stated, now dats FACTUAL information. They come here and share same and no confidentiality code is broken. Another comes and SPECULATES on possible TS resumptn dates (NB: key word - Speculate), and hell is let loose. Are 'we for real'??

I'm not saying corporate bodies don't have their secrets. But I'm certain dat mere speculatns by outsiders don't qualify.

Abeg make una no chop me raw ooo... I'm outta here. 1 love *smiles*
God bless you bro. Well, I have decided not to post here again but not until I discovered this thread...https://www.nairaland.com/1289930/switch-over-zone/2...Please you all should click and read up till last page. These same guys (Sploofic, ciwi, etc) come here and started condemning someone 'Speculating' while they go about realising info and wish they take over Owerri and Abuja TS. How hypocritical and treacherous!!!

Likely dates (speculated) for resumption into TS going by 10weeks calculation.
Aug 5th- Abuja and Owerri
Sept 2nd- Abuja and Lagos
Sept 16th- Lagos
Oct 14th- Abuja and Owerri
Nov 11th- Abuja and Lagos
Nov 25th- Lagos
Dec 23rd- Abuja and Owerri
PS: Do not rely totally on this info as they are just guesses. Diamond Bank reserves the right to make changes as it deems fit.
Let's go there >>>
Best wishes!!!

I get u. Its likely dat u chkd at d tym d sunday list was yet 2 b pasted cos as at 5pm on sunday, d last batch was rounding up.

4 dos of us who wrote on sunday, our congratulatory messages came in on monday morning. I chkd d list at abt 10am on tuesday b4 leaving d town. So, WE ARE 339 ENUGU INTERVIEW HOPEFULS. I just hope dis large number dosnt reduce our chances.
It won't reduce any chance. It should only ginger you to prepare harder for your interview as it may be competitive. Also, you should bear in mind that resumption date too will be prolonged. As we have (Figures for interview) Owerri:3XX, Abuja:281, Enugu:339, and Lagos peeps too are there. Best wishes!!!

ufuosigho: Am an owerri TS hopeful and at my present place of work i need to give 1 month notice to my employer before resigning. Should i go ahead to give the notice of resignation now or still wait since am not too sure of when owerri TS hopefuls would be called? Pls i need advice from the house ASAP. Thanks
In as much as you would want to give your boss a prior notice before your exit, it is imperative to be wise while doing this. Reason: It is not certain that all owerri peeps will fill up the slots come the much speculated July ending as you peeps are plenty. To be on the safe side, I will advise you continue your job except you want to risk it by resigning. Best wishes!!!
