Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by Royalty56: 6:07pm On Mar 13, 2019
Hi guys!
Thank you all for the good work you're doing here.

Please I have few questions and I'd greatly appreciate your contributions.

I have a first degree in Public Health Technology and roughly two years working experience (NYSC inclusive). I really want to embark on this journey, hence I calculated my CRS point and it's quite low. So that brings me to my questions.

1. Is there any Health related certification program I can do to enable me claim two or more certificate?
I am quite aware of the NACEM, BCS, ACCA and NOUN options but the truth is that I really really doubt I can do well in such programs, that's why I'm asking for a health related one.

2. My cousin is also interest in this journey and she has a similar profile to mine, first degree and only NYSC experience. She wants to register for a masters program in NOUN for their next academic session.
Our fear now is the timeline of this Express Entry. From what we've gathered online, there's a confliction on when it will be stopped. Some sites are saying 2020 while others are saying 2021.
My question is, in all honesty, do you guys think we'll be able to complete a certification/second degree program and the entire process of ECA and IELTS before it's closure. Cause the truth is, we're not very financially buoyant and it will cost us a lot.

I really look forward to your contributions.

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Royalty56: 11:53am On Feb 14, 2018
Hello Everyone!!
First and foremost I want to appreciate everyone for their contributions and response to people's questions.. It is awesome to see people going through the stress of typing long and detailed replies to questions. God bless you all.

I have couple of questions to ask and I'd appreciate every contribution I can get.

I'm a 26years old Petroleum Engineering graduate, currently serving and due to pass out April this year. I'm currently applying for jobs so as to have something to do after service and also source of letter of employment.

I intend to go for my masters in Canada next year (2019). I want to study Sustainable and Renewable Energy for my second degree.

This is my present scenario...
*I'm to seat for IELTS April this year.

*I already have a valid international passport that is not expiring anytime soon

*My dad will stand as my sponsor with over #18milion statement of account

Now my questions are
1. What are my chances of getting a student visa, considering the following..
a. My first degree is in Petroleum Engineering(CGPA of 4.02) and my intended second degree is Sustainable and Renewable Energy

b. My home ties is just family (my parents and siblings)

c. My little/no work experience, I graduated December 2016, served 2017-2018 (April)

2. What can I do to boost my chances of securing a visa?

3. What other documents do I need to gather to aid my cause?

4. What else can I use as home ties?

Please I went through most of the previous threads, it was really helpful but I need more info regarding my particular case..
Thanks and God bless us all!
