Hello guys.
Please can someone add me to an Alberta(Calgary or Edmonton) whatsapp group?
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by RTreasure: 10:14am On Jan 28, 2021
Okay this makes me feel better because that 2hr 30mins waiting time is perfect for me. Hoping there won’t be any queue though. Thanks alot

DefyTheOdds:
I came into edmonton last week (study permit) and my stopover between toronto and edmonton was 2 hrs 15 minutes. It took me less than 30 minutes to go through immigration (there was no line though so I didn't have to queue at any point)

Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by RTreasure: 4:27am On Jan 28, 2021
Hello, please how many hours wait did you have between toronto to edmonton? I’m seeing a flight with waiting time of 2hr 30mins in toronto to calgary and i’m not too sure if 2hrs will be enough time to finish the immigration check and still make it in time for the next flight.

BCkeys:
If your first place of landing in Canada is Toronto then that will be where your immigration check will be. Try to look for a flight with a long stop over between landing in Toronto and your flight to Edmonton. I missed my flight due to the long line at immigration and they connected me to the next available flight at no extra cost (I don't inow if that is how it always work )

Did you confirm from your notes that you have no “Review Required” from any section of your application?

oluwamitomisin:

But then isn't my waiting period getting too long? I ordered GCMS notes. Nothing seems to be wrong with my submissions.

Any ideas on what I can do please?

Yes exactly. Thats what i meant by reaching out to the bank. I doubt they do this often though, maybe just once in a while

Kekereekun123:
they can only confirm authenticity of reference letter not balance. I have a friend who used uba, a confirmation mail was sent and it took uba 3 months to reply. Also stanbic mutual funds too. But bank cant disclose balance.

They do have the right to. The moment you applied, you gave them full authority to confirm anything they need to know. And sometimes after a few months they ask to resend your POF which is why i was asking what the AOR is.

Fortissimo502:

How do they confirm PoF? I thought banks don't disclose your details to 3rd parties.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by RTreasure: 3:27pm On Oct 16, 2020
Don’t worry i don’t think theres anything faulted here. The work employment section is okay and consistent. If you want to do anything extra you can decide to raise a webform and resend your payslips together with an LOE. You tackled all loopholes already. Also the POF isn’t an issue too, they maybe want to confirm with the bank.

What is your AOR?

arthurx:
Hello everyone.

I need everyone's help.

Just received my GCMS note, and noticed two issues:

1. Employment record for primary NOC is marked "review required". Before I submitted my application, I did a thorough search of available NOCs and determined that the one I used was the most fit, but I still had my doubts because it's a managerial NOC (0131), even though my job title was not as a manager, but a network surveillance specialist. I just thought it was the best fit because out of 7 duties stated on the IRCC website, I had 5. Right now, I'm considering going through the NOC list again and if I see one that fits my work experience better, I'll raise a webform admitting my earlier mistake and asking them to consider the new NOC. I'm concerned if this is the right course of action to take, or I should just leave it as it is.

2. My employer for the above experience didn't include my salary in the reference letter because as they said in the letter, it is against their policy to reveal employees' salaries to third parties. However, during application, I attached a bank statement showing salary deposits for the last 6 months on the job, alongside a LOE explaining all this. Now, I'm curious as to why they didn't mention this in the GCMS notes. I'm considering sending another bank statement showing the salary deposits for last 1 year on the job, and I'm concerned if this is the right thing to do.

3. POF is also marked "review required". I wonder why because no reason was stated for this, and I believe my POF is in order. It's just my bank statement.

I'll really appreciate if anyone can help with guidance on what to do in these cases.

Thank you all.

Where you asked how many months statement to provide? Also, when was your AOR please?

pointmarshal:
Hello house, I got ADR and I would like to include a letter of explanation. I can only find placeholders to upload the documents they requested. Should I attach LoE to each document I upload? Or how can I add the LoE?

Also, I was asked to provide bank statements showing salary deposits. I plan to only print statements on days when the salary was paid. Is this ok? Otherwise the full statement covering the salary periods requested would be more than 100 pages.

Thanks

Veryy helpful answer! Thank you sooo much!

ogalawyer:
I don't think payslips are absolutely necessary, if you have other evidence that you worked where you claimed to work. What's more important is the reference letter from your employer. If your employer isn't a well known organization, it's advisable that you supplement the reference letter with other documentation. That's where payslips may be needed, but you can use other documents if payslips are not available, for example: employment and promotion letters, work ID cards or statement of account showing deposit of salary into your bank account. Any, or a combination, of those should perfectly suffice, even if you don't include payslips. Cheers!

Hey guys please urgent question:

In the case of FSW, does CIC request for pay slips to verify work experience? Assuming you worked in the company about 2 years ago and don’t currently work there anymore.
Has anyone ever been requested to submit pay slips as additional documents?
