Rich countries/people owes poor people/coutries a duty of care. USAID is 40B a year - 0.1% of US budget - they should ideal spend 2% on such. Bill Gates donates 10B dollar a year. USAID give US soft power. It makes it warring/policing role have human face. Without it US become a bully that will rebel other countries. Why would countries and its citizen support US agendas if it not helping them. China will easily replace US and fill that void If it about reforming USAID or even UN - excellent - more money will eventually flow into real beneficiary If they deal with redtape and corruption in USAID. I hope that is the PLAN - send more of that 40B - into programs with proven impact Obiano13: 1 Like |

Mombasa port hit 2M TEUS. Durban is normally at 2.5-2.7M. It grew by 25% So if we keep the momentum Mombasa port will exceed Durban in two years.

You as always never quote anything - just verbal diarrhea. If we go by atrocious English and logic I see with Ghanians here - then your education system is a mess. We saw you become last in PISA - worse than even South Africa (which known for it's bad education). Just30: |

Mad cow, Kenya has historically had high quality middle-income country education -> which translates to highly skilled people -> therefore wont have any problem getting good jobs abroad. So it opportune to copy Philiphines and export them. Just30: 1 Like

Jobs cant be created using magic from thin air. Kenya has 20M adults without formal jobs - annually adding 1M. There is no magic ward Ruto will wave - which is why Ruto with BEST BRAINS sat down and figured out the quickest wins. Exporting Kenya is one of them. Philiphines does it - their diaspora earn 30-40B Kenya with half it pop - can also aim for 15-20B And when economy grows kenyans will comeback. China use to export Chinese literally on containers. Obiano13: |

Aint reading all this shiet! Ruto has stabilize his gov - has now 90% of parliament and senate - only Wiper 15mps and RIggy 5 oppose him Feb - Raila wins AU and Ruto inherits ODM Next Ruto appoint all 7 IEBC commission. Next 2027 - Ruto wins o Ruto wins or Ruto wins. Obiano13: |

Obiano and other destructive elements are being dealt with political. Ruto has now brought back Raila his main opponent and now Uhuru the former president. This should help manage the political madness from a bunch of crazy fools like Obiano

Now Kenya's monthly remittance trending towards 500M USD - which means 6B dollars likely. Already, year to September, we were at 4.7B USD—more than Ghana—so by the end of the year, we are likely at 6B dollars or very close to it. 3 more years - we should be at 10B. Nigeria stuck at 19-20B - mostly illegal. Remittance inflows in September 2024 totalled USD 418.5 million compared to USD 340.4 million in September 2023, an increase of 22.9 percent (Chart 1). The cumulative inflows for the 12 months to September 2024 increased by 14.0 percent to USD 4,723 million compared to USD 4,142 million in a similar period in 2023.25 |

Mad cow as always inventing own facts; Kenya remittance is now growing at 20% per year. This 1st term we have taken Labour Export as official gov policy! Ghanians are still walking across the Sahara then swimming to Italy to pick tomatoes. We go and sign a deal with Italians or Germans - and send our people legally. 2021 - Ghana was 4.5B - 2023 - 4.6B - only 100M more. 2023 - Kenya was 3.7B - 2023 - 4.2B - 500M more. Ceteris paribus. 2024 - Ghana 4.7m - at best. 2024 - Kenya will be 4.8M - at worst. Just30: 1 Like 1 Share

Those of us who have supported Ruto the longest knew he is go-getter who mean business and the middle class will cry but changes MUST be done. 1) Food security - Maize production moved from 30M bags to 47M bags in a year - this year 75M bags - no maize is needed to be imported - we are now thinking export. Sugar we have always imported - now we are thinking of export. Price has dropped from 250 to 110 and will drop more. Maize from 250 to 100. Trick - 8M farmers electronically registered and given feritlize vouchers cheaply - nearly 1/3 of market price. Result - overproduction. Only remaining issue - Oil crops and Wheat - we are ramping production of sunflower and rest - the holygrail of palm trees is long term. 2) Health - Employees use to pay a silly 3-10 dollar - result health system collapse - many fundraising or harambees. Ruto come and said 2.75% of income and employees match it up. Results 50M kenyans will all have health cover. Huge investment in hospitals and related will follow. 3) Housing - Employees 1.75% and employer match it - sell house monthly for same price as most rent now - results - 1M house by 2027 and eradication of slums. 4) NSSF - Pension or 401k - from 10 dollars of a joke to now 6% employee and 6% top up - NSSF pension fund is joke with 2B worth of investment since independence - in 5yrs alone it will be almost 10 billion dollars - money to invest in roads, dams, etc and people will get pensions. 5) Tax collection was 2 trillion KES - 2yrs later 2.5 trillion - next year 3 trillion - also gov services have been increase to meet inflation - dead gov companies like power company and KQ are all making profit . 6) Universities - all were bankrupt - total bankrupt nearly a billion dollars - now students from middle class pay proper school fees - the poor get loans and scholarship. Bottomline - Middle class are crying real tears- online they wail - but reforms must continue. More tears will continue from middle class but Ruto will be re-elected by poor who are now happy that cost of living is bottom, slums are going away, health care taken care of and soon infra starts/ Country cannot afford to be hungry slum residing unhealthy poverty ridden hopeless. Unfortunately middle class and upper class has to shoulder the responsibility until the bottom guys are also moving. Meantime Ruto is ready to send anyone willing to go abraod - abraod - go work and live there - Kenya has no jobs for now. 1 Like |

Kenya Affordable housing - where employees contribute 1.75% and employer same - is on course to eradicate slums. Formely Slum Mukuru - 13,000 units - bigger than all African housing estate bar Kalamba in Angola. Kibera has even bigger project coming up including 280 acre housing estate - more than 10% of kibra land. And there are projects all over country to eliminate slums and provide very cheap house - some costing 5,000 dolllars to buy - many you pay 30 dollars a month in rent to won. 1 Like 1 Share

Almost all economic indicators are now looking very up - 2.7% inflation, interest rate single digit, economy still growing, KES stable! Debt default avoided and economy recovered Just credit growth - which will happen with low interest regime! Plus fixing pending bills and Non performing loans - then we vroooooooom again Thousands of kenya being facilated to go abroad - passport processed quickly and gov doing labour agreements. Ruto found 300 gov service online - now 20,000 gov service online. In next 6 months - all gov services will be online Development Thousands of houses are being built. 750,000 units under development, planned and tendered 1M by 2027. SGR to Malaba and Kampala start next year. Mombasa to Malaba expressway - 1,000 kms - Kibaki sijui 40kms thika road or Uhuru 27 kms is a BIG JOKE Start late 2025.
