Family / Re: Something You Saw As A Child, That No One Saw Or Believes You Till This Day. by Rydock(m): 8:04am On Nov 20, 2014 |
[quote author=EfemenaXY post=20016834] You're too superstitious. I'm sure there's a perfect explanation for what you saw on both occasions. Besides, what a child might call a 'monster' might be nothing more than someone dressed in a Halloween mask / outfit. Cut down on the horror movies. That isn't an indication of superstition, my friend; at best it could be termed an optical illusion in which the gullible nature of the human eye is stressed. Such mysterious events have no possible explanation(s), and it's ill-advised to dismiss someone's claims to have seen such as merely a product of their imagination. Halloween? LOL! |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Ballon D Ore 2014: Now A Single Horse Race. by Rydock(m): 9:41am On Oct 18, 2014 |
Benstino:Leo and Cristiano are the driving force of their respective teams. True. Their absence, for some reason, would be immensely felt. True, also. I just thought you should know that goal-scoring feats matter little these days in the race for a prestigious award such as the Ballon d'Or. I must hand it to Ronaldo, though. The dude seems unstoppable. |

Gaming / Re: The Scariest Game You've Played. by Rydock(m): 9:08pm On Oct 10, 2014 |
Resident Evil on PlayStation 一 I literally dropped my gamepad on my first encounter with a zombie, and that was it. Another was Alien vs Predator: Single-player Demo for PC. Okay, owing to the fact that I don't fancy being alone in the dark, I equally don't entertain the idea of being attacked in near pitch darkness by bloodthirsty creatures. Your, or your character's, blood spurts on the screen, and the creatures' sadistic groans when biting bits off you simply send chills down my spine. :-( |

A deep and highly educative piece, this. Thanks a bunch. |

Benstino:Hold on a second, friend. Do you actually speak of the 2013-14 season in which a certain hapless Messi scored a laudable total of 41 goals in spite of his frequent injury relapses? Excuses, such as arguing that a player's failure to replicate his fine form is owing to injury, are rather flimsy. You work hard to be, and stay, fit whilst keeping good training programmes handy. Be professional. Dissing someone by making cynical remarks like what you did above is rather amateur. MOWLER. 4 Likes |

Benstino: The Ballon d'Or isn't awarded based on the winner's form in a quarter of a year一Cristiano Ronaldo's continual impressive form from the closing stages of the previous season till date; it's based on his form and contribution for club and country for the whole football season. It is somewhat silly and injudicious to proclaim Ronaldo the unrivalled winner of this year's Ballon d'Or simply because of his scoring streak or dishing out of hat-tricks. Work ethics, teamwork, consistency, and character are the desiderata in giving such an accolade, not statistical figures. Ricardo Kaká didn't win the World Footballer of the Year award in 2007 for netting hat-tricks like no one's business, people. Replicating his current form till mid-season could land Ronaldo the prize; however, if you think he's deserving of the prize already, think again. |
