Eventually was not debited yesterday. Apparently GT was not successful. DAMMIT!! 🥺🥺
Same with Zenith Bank, no debit until now which strongly suggest a no or failed bid.

The bank bidded 20%. So even if rates go as high as 25%, They only get 20%. but if they bid above the stop rate, it fails. In my form i went with bank rate, so there it is.

NL1960:

A bank only gets what it bidded even if it is below thr Stop Rate. If it is above the Stop Rate, the bid fails.

Thanks for your responses. I thought ZBN has done ojoro for me

I just checked mine. It went through. Got 20% Did you bid late?
Same with Zenith Bank. How come we got 20% when the stop rate is 21%, or am I missing something

Today's Auction. Did anyone bid via Stanbic Ibtc?
The discount I got from Zenith is around 20% for 364 days

Stanbic primary didn't go through
Same with Zenith Bank.
I guess most of them got to know quite lately and they submitted a too ambitious bid

Odunharry:

Secondary market will give you 23.5 fr 257 days as at today's rate.
That must be the yield and not discount rate

dem wan scam u wid those rates ohh

better open your eyes...theres better rates if u look well cool

It's not a scam cos those rates look like secondary market to me

100% sure
I just contacted my account officer at Zenith and dude insisted there's no auction this week.
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by safex(m): 3:44pm On Mar 10
Makes sense
donshady:

Net rate

Stanbic IBTC auction was successful. I just got the mails now and upfront payment has been made. Rate is 20% from my calculations.
Gross or Net rate?
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by safex(m): 1:20am On Mar 08
Please, were you charged any other thing apart from what @Itsrm posted up there?
Shalom428:
After all the annoying deductions, Zenith rate was 18.3%. Nigeria Banks are really milking their customers.
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by safex(m): 1:09am On Mar 08
If I am bidding above N50M do I still have to go through a commercial bank?
Also, assuming I bid 22% and the final rate is 25% what rate would I get eventually?
Shalom428:
Unfortunately, you are at the mercy of the banks unless your bid is above ₦50M , then you can quote your own rate.
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by safex(m): 1:57pm On Feb 23
Please house, what bank currently offer the highest rate for TB?
I see 16.75% from GTB for 1 year but just thinking there could be a higher rate. Thanks

A printed or even hand-written receipt is acceptable, as long as it is duly completed and signed by both parties.

Except OP has been paying cash, bank statement extract is also a good supporting document

As long as you have Canada visa (be it visitor, study or PR) on your passport you have no problem transiting in Paris.

If you are coming with visitor's visa on a one-way ticket, you'd most likely escape Lagos but be prepared to give a detailed and convincing speech in Paris/Toronto on why you don't plan to return after your visit in Nigeria. Some people speak in tongue in lieu of the speech. Lol

Pristine664:
Please who knows if transit visa is needed for Airfrance? My trip is Lagos to Toronto.

And hope there is no issue with one-way ticket??

Urgent pls.

No way. You can only travel to your home country (not sure if all countries sef) with an expired passport.

Hi all,

I am presently in Nigeria with an expired passport and the renewal process is taking forever. Can I travel to Canada with an expired passport and my PR Card?

I know people have bad experiences about Facebook Mktplace et al but people still use them anyways and get positive result. There are red flags to watch out for and please don't make advance payment for any reason.

Alternatively, if you belong to any Nigerian group on Whatsapp it may also be helpful.

All the best dear.

I am also in this hectic wahala. I am also looking for 1bed apartment within Waterloo, Kitchener or within. Facebook market is full of scam. I wish there were a dedicated Whatsapp or Telegram group with Nigerians for assistance

Please why do people with degree prefer to apply to colleges than universities
probably because the programs are shorter - 1-2 yrs. Besides, the education system here is different such that some college diploma are more valuable than university degrees

Second application denied again..

Yesterday was the 6th week of my application yet eligibility was still not started, I had to send them a mail. After sending the mail, not up to 3 hours, I received a mail from them directing me to my portal, I rushed to it and saw correspondence and I opened it only to see that my study permit was denied.

Tuition fee is 43,000, paid 4,000cad deposit and I had 72,000cad which is 22,500,000 as POF.

10m from investment and I attached every document for it, 7,500,000 gift deed from my uncle, I attached gift deed and the transfer slip and proof of relationship.
5m from sale of my land and I attached every document to substrate this...

At this point, I do not know what exactly, VO is looking for to warrant him/her to deny me study permit.

I did justice to my application

Is it that the VO after seeing my mail, angrily decided to punish me
So sad to hear that your application was denied.
In terms of home ties, how did you convince the VO? Are you married and/or have children?
Selling your landed property may have caused the VO to doubt if you'd return home after your studies.
As someone said earlier, it's not always about having lots of money but unfortunately these people think differently when assessing visa applications. Just my thoughts to consider before re-applying

Please, has anyone recently traveled to Nigeria with a Canadian baby? Which option is better between emergency travel certificate and regular visa? I read that a minor does not qualify for visa on arrival. Everything just look so complicated.
I'll appreciate advice from the house, please

I believe as long as the MF bank is duly licensed, then you should be fine.
Just make sure any document they are giving you fully meet IRCC specifications. E.g. their FD must state that the funds are readily liquidated on demand

Good morning seniors in the house, pls has anyone successfully used Microfinance bank fixed deposit or bank statement as POF for PR application?
Is POF from Nigeria Microfinance banks acceptable by the Canadian immigration?

I will very much appreciate your honest response. Thanks.
