Romance / Re: [poll] Would You Prefer to Marry a Virgin? by sage(m): 3:20pm On Jun 26, 2006
At times i wonder y guyz would put themselves through all that stress. I think the word Virgin should be erased or redefined cos some people seem so confused now.
I used to imagine that the word virgin meant more than a partially penetrated hole, but it seems like that it what it means today.

Travel / Re: Is Travelling Out Of Nigeria The Solution To The Problem We Are Passing Through by sage(m): 5:51pm On Jun 16, 2006
Yeah, i 100% agree with OldGlory

And i dont understand what many people mean by 3rd class citizens in the west. 90% of Nigerians are already 3rd class citizens in a third world country so,

And my guy, my own advice will be that if u have a very comfortable life in Naija stick with it as moving to a new country always comes with new and difficult challenges. People that leave their country with a double mind are always the ones that complain most. They miss this and that. Otherwise if life is bad and u think u are up to a new challenge then u can go 4 it.
Food / Re: Is Food Scarce In Nigeria? by sage(m): 5:28pm On Jun 16, 2006
Akolawole:

Food is not scarce but i believe storage is our problem.

Now coming back to you Bibi:

1) where do you live in Europe?

##I don't believe transportation is that high in Nigeria even in London, transportation goes up every 2nd Januaryfor the past 7 years.##

## I don't believe any government can provide 100% housing services even in europe, there abound homeless##

Everytime i am drawn into a discussion about Naija, it is always 4 the wrong reasons
but heh here it goes again.

@ Kola here we go again, trying to compare the west with Naija anytime a negative truth is brought up.  tongue

even here in the U.S there are homeless people, but the fact is that 95% of them are dope heads and even if u give them a hundred thousand dollars, they will use all of that to smoke crack and walk the streets rather than than take 1% to pay house rent. Anybody that wants to live in a house here will. All you have to do is work hard.
Do you have anybody living in the west? is he homeless? How come all the foriegners live in homes?
Myself a case in study. Came to the U.S with little cash (and no college degree)  but i still could pay my house rent all the time. I dont see any reason y somebody would be homeless in the west unless u are a dope head.

And talking about food
The average american kid  (10 yrs)eats about 100 pounds of chicken a year. The average 10 yr old Nigerian kid does not eat up to 10 pounds of chicken a year.

And my answer to the thread.
Food 4 the average man in naija is very hard and thatz a fact.

my first experience. Hmnnnnnnnnn

I went into a fastfood resturant in Atlanta and asked them for what they had. They listed some but i asked them " can i get rice?"'  The people behind me in line and the waitress could not believe their ears, and i was amazed at their puzzling look.

@gidig, donnie, Killerweed and Other "do not touch" my anointed guys. I want to ask u this.
Do u guys think that tax evasion, ripping off the poor and shaddy use of funds are nobody's business? The fact that so many of the so-called pastors are thieves is nobody's business and they are impoverishing their brainwashed followers and taking money from them to enrich themselves is irrelevant too? What is wrong with public auditing and accountability of church funds even though u r exploiting the churchgoers of 10% of their income.

If u really think they are nobodys business, what do you think about Homosexuals and what two consenting adults do in their room. Is it anybodys business? Should people be borthered by what Gays do with their lives?
Music/Radio / Re: 2face Idibia Earned $5 Million For 'Phat Girlz'? by sage(m): 7:17pm On Jun 05, 2006

The whole movie did not even make that amount, ie $5 million
Romance / Re: Would You Date Or Marry A Nigerian Girl If She Smokes And Drinks? by sage(m): 6:47pm On Jun 05, 2006
People shoould stop coming to this forum to display their ignorance. WINE IN ALL OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE MEANS ALCOHOL. WINE HAS A SINGLE WORD MEANING-- ie ALCOHOL. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE NON ALCOHOLIC WINE. ITS LIKE SAYING NON ALCOHOLIC ALCOHOL. PEOPLE SHOULD STOP MIXING THEIR RELIGIOUS FANTASIES WITH THE CORRECT USE OF ENGLISH. THE WINE JESUS HAD WAS ALCOHOLIC, BUT U DONT HAVE TO BELIEVE THAT OR ACCEPT IT. ANYBODY THAT DOUBTS THIS CAN CHECK THE MEANING IN ANY ENGLISH DICTIONARY ON EARTH.

Besides this is deviating from the topic. People should post in relation to the topic.

@Akolawole and Sage

I see say Akolawole and Sage don carry their Naija versus Yankee and Jand discussion reach here. We no want fight ooo. angry angry

grin grin cheesy.

No i have no probs with Kola. I just tell him the real truths and we debate. No infighting. As somebody who has spent some years in the two parts of the great divide, i can present a largely unbiased assesment of the two places.
Travel / Re: UK Or US: Your Preference And Why? by sage(m): 8:07pm On May 31, 2006
@ Topic sorry 4 my digression

@Kola, i was just responding to ur 95% statistics. I was startled, but i was not trying to change the topic. I just broke down the stats 4 u and gave u the prices of computers to show u that anybody, again anybody that needs a computer could have one well within his reach. I had even thought u were talking of Nigeria cool. I was just telling u the facts. Ifu have a friend who has been a student in the U.S 4 a while ask him. Life is tough everywhere and anybody that wants to be stress free needs to commit suicide, not travel over to the west.
Travel / Re: UK Or US: Your Preference And Why? by sage(m): 10:16pm On May 30, 2006
I dont know about people who stand in line 4 internet access in the U.K. That seems weird to me.

But @ Kola y would people stand in line when they can get a complete computer set 4 less than $500 and high speed broadband internet access for about $20 a month. (at least in the U.S) here. Most of the Nigerian students here in the U.S own P.C and LapTops, even the new MAC which is almost 200,000 naira, something that is an impossibility for 99% of Nigerian students in Nigeria

Well i dont know about the U.K but computers are well within the reach of the poor here(some sets go 4 $300) and about $20 a month 4 high speed or $10 for dial up is well within the reach of anybody that needs a computer, unlike Nigeria, where ur yearly salary might not get u a computer.

Yeah sorry 4 digressing but that internet issue really caught me.

The U.S 4 me all the way. Men i am loving this country. I will spend sometime in the U.K though in the nearest future.
Music/Radio / Re: Dido: Life for Rent by sage(m): 8:50pm On May 30, 2006

Travel / Re: UK Or US: Your Preference And Why? by sage(m): 1:19am On May 29, 2006
Yeah and to add to that, a complete computer set can be gotten for 400 dollars. Very well within the reach of most, including students that dont recieve 1 kobo from there parents.

Yeah, back to the topic. I think Il take The U.S and Canada, and even other european countries ahead of the U.K. But il take any of the two ahead of Nigeria, that one is 4 sure.
Travel / Re: UK Or US: Your Preference And Why? by sage(m): 12:02am On May 29, 2006
@Kola

Heeeeeehh

Which place are u talking about? Nigeria? i guess cos thats the place where 95% of people dont own a compuer. Besides Kola how do u know all these stats 4 a country uve never been to? If u have friends in school in the U.S u can confirm from them

Family / Re: Prenuptial Agreements by sage(m): 9:54pm On May 24, 2006
In the Nigerian system, a man can wake up anyday and kick his wife out empty handed cos of one reason or the other.

In the west, she will get, ur house, u cars, half ur bank accounts, kids and the man would be kicked into the streets.

I think anybody that wants a prenupt should get one.
ONE THING IN LIFE IS CONSTANT--- CHANGE

People that say its for wealthy people, i dont know, but if u dont have any money i dont think ul be thinking prenupts, but again change.

u cannot compare marriages now with that of Grandfathers. The world is a diffrent place now
Romance / Re: For The Ladies. by sage(m): 9:43pm On May 24, 2006
I don't do net insults

Y, because people just pick up a keyboard and type bull and think they are talking

I just said any lady u meet should give u exactly the treatment u stipulated so u can have 'respect' 4 her. Anyway, from your posts, u can't be more than 21yrs. Take your time boy and do other things. I can't argue with u, and keep having those kind of experiences, so that u will have 'respect' for all the women wherever they meet u

Man Peace  grin grin grin

ToyM28:

@ sage. I have a feeling diddy is right. people who seem 2 talk like u ve some hidden agenda. I wonder how many girls hearts u've broken. angry angry angry angry

No @ToyM28, my dear ive not broken anybodys heart.

I am just saying that all the girls that he meets in life will/should continue to treat him the way he stated(it is he that prescribed those actions) so that he can have respect for all the women that he comes accross in life grin grin grin cheesy.

His comments, including the one that started this thread are just too childish 4 me.
Romance / Re: For The Ladies. by sage(m): 9:08pm On May 24, 2006
U now call me a pervert huh?
Nice thing u already admitted that no girl has ever agreed to u

PLS ALL THE GIRLS IN NAIRALAND, DO NOT EVER AGREE TO SEX WITH HIM, AND IF HE GETS ANGRY, GET A GUN AS HE SAID AND SHOOT HIM OUT OF UR HOUSE. THAT IS WHAT HE NEEDS. ALL THE GIRLS TREAT HIM EXACTLY THE WAY HE STIPULATED SO THAT HE CAN HAVE ALL THE RESPECT IN THE WORLD FOR ALL THE GIRLS IN THE WORLD.

i think this case is kapish  grin grin grin

BUT WHAT ELSE SHOULD PEOPLE EXPECT FROM A GUY WHO HAS BEEN HITTING BRICK WALLS ALL HIS LIFE.

Dude dont me mad ok, if u dont get shit too bad, but stop saying all that bull. Its suprising to me, esp coming from somebody who doesn't know what he is talking about.
