I am writing this with sorrow in my heart because after spending years at the university and you have to take nonsense from people who do not follow the Labour act/law. Private school owners keep breaking the law on employment and no agency to report to that fights for the rights of teachers.

Most of these proprietors are callous. Even after underpaying teachers they deduct salary anyhow with no respect on what the law says. The teacher cannot complain because it will lead to sack and there is no work out there or one has to wait for a new session to get employed. Here are some of the labour laws these schools break and no one is doing anything about it.

1. Employers are not allowed to deduct salary for any reason except deductions caused by injury/loss to the employer. Private schools deduct salaries for the trivial issues. I know someone that got 50% deduction a parent reported them in PTA meetings. Sometime they just deduct without at least 2 queries. Some pay half salary if school resumes at the middle of the month. The Ministry of Labour should look into this please.

Solutions:
1. The federal and state government should provide a system that teachers can report infringement on rights to the government. And government must make sure that such report is taken seriously.

2. Government need to have a minimum wage system in relation to tuition. For instance if a school is charging 50,000 as school fees, they will be mandated to pay a certain amount as salary. Whatvi have discovered is that schools that have smaller tuition pay bigger salaries compared to schools with higher tuition if you look at their income and expenditure. There has to be a minimum wage for teachers as teaching is vital aspect of the society.

3. All private school must have a pension scheme for teachers.

I hope the ministry of education, ministry of labour and all relevant authorities see this.

If Tinubu really loves the south and wants the best for everyone, he should step down and support Peter Obi. A united South is stronger than a united north.

Atiku Abubukar is the favourite to win this election because of his popularity, financial strength and party structure. Although his former boss called him a lot of unprintable names, he has national appeal.

I have noticed that those who promote Tinubu are mostly Yorubas. You rarely see ordinary Nigerians from other tribes promoting his candidature. Like I always say, the winner of this election is someone who can win votes outside his region.

Lastly, Peter Obi has the least prospect of winning this election because he is new and running on a party without a structure. However, he has has high future prospects because he represents a paradigm shift from the old way of doing things. Yes, I will vote for him as a way of supporting him.

But I won't completely rule out a runoff in 2023.

I see a run-off too. Atiku will not get 25% in 2/3 states, same with Obi and Tinubu. The run off will be between Obi and Atiku. If it comes to that, Atiku might win.

What they don't know is that Peter Obi must pull 10m votes to make South East politicians relevant again. It is so easy to overlook the southeast because the political class is scared that people won't vote them. If Obi loses but gets at least 10m votes spread across Nigeria, he would prove to northerners, westerners and all Nigerians that an Igbo president is possible and fair. So whether they support or not, Obi will determine if PDP and APC would want to gamble an Igbo presidency in the future.

If I were them, I would work covertly for Obi's success not necessary victory, because his success is their collective success for the future. By the way I am Obedient.

Let Labour party do the same. Make tinubu look like a Yoruba project. That may not work but a Muslim project to islamize Nigeria will.
