Health / NAFDAC Warns Nigerians On Consumption Of Animal Hides And Skin (ponmo) As Food by Sam4ky(m): 8:37am On Aug 02, 2019 |
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) wishes to use this medium to ALERT the general public and in particular consumers of animal hides popularly known as PONMO in local parlance on the activities of some unscrupulous businessmen and traders who are selling industrial animal hides as food. As far back as 2015, following intelligence reports, the Agency, through Investigation and Enforcement Directorate, had been successfully dealing with isolated cases of dangerous diversion of animal hides meant for industrial use into the food chain for consumption as local delicacy PONMO. This practice poses a grave danger to public health. Investigations revealed that some of the companies legally imported hides from countries such as Lebanon and Turkey, while the majority of the product was smuggled into the country through the porous borders. These imported animal hides are meant for industrial use by leather industries for the manufacture of items such as shoes, bag, belt etc. The hides, therefore, are pretreated with industrial chemicals which are not of food-grade and will be toxic and injurious to human health. Health hazards inherent in the consumption of such animal hides include risk of Liver, Kidney and Heart damage, increased risk of Aplastic anaemia, Central nervous system toxicity, cancer, etc. Livestock farmers are also to note that industrial animal hides can also not be used to manufacture animal feed, as the associated chemicals will be stored in the tissues of these animals and will eventually end up in humans when consumed with the attendant deleterious effects listed above. The general public is hereby encouraged to be very vigilant and exercise discretion when purchasing animal hides PONMO and indeed other food items. NAFDAC is fully alive to her responsibilities of assuring the safety, wholesomeness and quality of processed foods offered for sale to the public. In this regard, the Agency has increased the tempo of targeted and aggressive routine (unannounced) inspections to monitor activities of animal hide merchants to ensure that only food-grade animal hide (PONMO) is sold as food article in our markets.

Health / The King Of Fruits(mango) by Sam4ky(m): 4:39pm On Apr 30, 2019 |
Mango is a fleshy, oval shaped fruit which is usually in it’s peak season from April. It has a thin skin, a fleshy part and an inner inedible seed. NUTRIENT CONTENTS OF MANGO The mango fruit is super rich in minerals and vitamins ranging from vitamins C, E, K, and B6, folate, thiamine, pantothenic acid, chlorine, riboflavin, potassium, Iron, calcium zinc, phosphorus, protein, fiber, sodium, carbohydrates, e.t.c. The major vitamin found in this fruit is vitamin A. And it also contains the highest content of Beta Carotene. HEALTH BENEFITS OF MANGOES A fruit that has the above listed constituents is definitely expected to have a wealth of nutritional benefits for man. And indeed, the mango fruit does. They include: · Enhances Eye Health With its high vitamin A and Beta carotene content, the mango fruit plays an important role in improving the structure and function of the eye. It helps to improve retinal function and supplies one of the two major carotenoids present in the eye. · Lowers Blood Pressure Mango contains potassium which helps to lower blood pressure. This means mangoes can help to reduce hypertension. · Immunity Improvement The immune system receives a boost thanks to the presence of vitamin C and zinc in mangoes. · Treatment of Anaemia Our blood needs healthy red blood cells to help transport oxygen around. Iron is very important in oxygen binding to these blood cells. The availability of iron in mangoes makes oxygen binding and transport easy thereby reducing anaemia. · Improves Skin Health Beta carotene is functional in protecting the skin from ultraviolet rays, this in turn helps to prevent skin cancer. Mango aids skin growth and repair, helps to clear or reduce acne as its vitamin A content reduces the production of excess oil on the skin. It is also important for the production of healthy hair. · Encourages Weight Loss Eating mango leaves one feeling full for a long time. This reduces the rate at which one eats. This is as a result of its dietary fibre. The peel of the mango fruit is also said to play a role in weight loss. · Aids Digestion There’s a high fibre content in mangoes which helps reduce constipation and makes bowel movement easier. There are some digestive enzymes present too that contribute to the break down of proteins. · Prevents Cancer Mango contains polyphenol, carotenoids, ascorbic acids and other contents that can help in preventing cancer. Considering its super rich content and nutritional value, I think mango is rightly called the king of fruits. Why not take advantage of it being in season and enjoy not just its sweet taste but also all the health benefits it has to offer?

Health / How Rotten Tomatoes Cause Cancer by Sam4ky(m): 8:35am On Feb 08, 2019 |
Good health, they say, is wealth but one’s health can become a devourer through frequent medical treatment if not well cared for. What we consume is expected to serve as nutrients and medicine to the body. Rather it may bring diseases and sickness if what we eat is not properly checked to ascertain its consumption worthiness. What we eat defines our health status – it is either medicine or poison to the body; it does no more or less! We therefore owe our body that non-negotiable duty of taking adequate care of it by what we feed it. Tomato, whether classified as a fruit (according to botanists) or as a vegetable (according to nutritionists), indisputably serves immeasurable nutritional value to man no matter what purpose it is used for. Man hardly can do without consuming tomatoes whether as fruit or vegetable in his daily meal. Experts say tomatoes are the major dietary source of an antioxidant, a substance that protects against cell damage. Tomatoes also contain Lycopene, which helps reduce risk of heart diseases and cancer. As important and nutritious fresh tomatoes are to the body, they can be deadly to the body if the rotten form of tomato is consumed. Rotten tomatoes, in local parlance here in Southwest, are called “esa”. Retailers of tomatoes sort out, isolate and sell these rotten tomatoes at cheap rates. These ‘fallen’ tomatoes are visibly soft, leaking their liquid content as they decay. Most rotten tomatoes also grow mold on their bodies and serve as abode for worms and maggots too. These worms are maggots or larvae of common houseflies which deposit their eggs when they perch on the tomatoes. Maggot-infested tomatoes cause bacterial poisoning when consumed. In September 2018, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), warned Nigerians against the consumption of rotten tomatoes to forestall cancer. The warning was given by a Deputy Director with the agency, Mrs Christiana Essenwa. She said that rotten tomatoes contain microorganisms that induce cancer. In her words, “once tomatoes become rotten, they will have microorganisms, mostly fungi, and fungi in rotten tomatoes produce mycotoxins which are deadly and induce cancer, and cause immune deficiency in man and animals. Mycotoxins are deadly and can cause all sorts of poisoning in the body. Some research suggested that mycotoxins could also cause kidney damage.” According to Mrs Essenwa, some people think that rotten tomatoes which are cheap can be consumed after washing and heating. But she stressed that toxins cannot be washed or killed by heating because mycotoxins are heat-resistant. She added by advising consumers to keep-off rotten tomatoes often sold cheap in the market, saying “it is better to spend money to prolong life than to use such money to buy death.” Mycotoxin is a toxic substance produced by fungi and it is capable of causing disease and death in both humans and other animals. They are said to be naturally occurring toxins from molds which cause a variety of adverse health effects. The damaging effects of consuming rotten tomatoes are enormous and in fact, not instant but gradual. Four major organs (liver, kidneys, intestinal tracts and skin), responsible for eliminating toxins from the body will begin to diminish in function, and then the body’s immune system breaks down too resulting in illness. The body organs involved in the role of detoxification begin to fail in articulation and function when these toxic substances overwhelmingly become too much for the body to detoxify. Some tomatoes sellers may argue that not all soft and wrinkled tomatoes are rotten and spoilt because some of these fresh tomatoes burst and get punctured as they are being packaged and arranged in baskets from the farm to the point of sale. This argument is validly true. It is common knowledge that when fresh tomatoes are exposed to heat or high temperature, they become soft and subsequently burst. However, it is important to state clearly that it is at this point that these fresh tomatoes are prone to infestation by housefly which leaves maggot and larvae deposits in its wake. Special attention should be paid to the tomatoes we buy before slicing, grinding or consuming them. It must also be noted that fresh tomato left for days may have become rotten without growing mold on it. Such tomato must not be consumed. These rotten tomatoes are dangerous to health when consumed. We therefore implore everyone, particularly our women to desist from buying and consuming rotten tomatoes. In order to forestall cancer, avoid the consumption of spoilt tomatoes.

Religion / The Real Meaning Of Christmas By Pope Francis by Sam4ky(m): 5:52pm On Dec 25, 2018 |
Christmas is usually a noisy party: we could use a bit of silence to hear the voice of love: Christmas is you when you decide to be born again each day and let God into your soul. The Christmas pine is you, when you resist vigorous winds and difficulties of life. The Christmas decorations are you, when your virtues are colors that adorns your life. The Christmas bell is you, when you call, gather and seek to unite. You are also a Christmas light, when you illuminate with your life the path of others with kindness, patience, joy and generosity. The Christmas angels are you, when you sing to the world a message of peace, justice and love. The Christmas star is you, when you lead someone to meet the Lord. You are also the wise men, when you give the best you have no matter who. The Christmas music is you, when you conquer the harmony within you. The Christmas gift is you, when you are truly friend and brother of every human being. The Christmas card is you, when kindness is written in your hands. The Christmas greeting is you, when you forgive and reestablish peace, even when you suffer. The Christmas is you, when you sated bread and hope to the poor man who is by your side. You are yes,Christmas night, when humble and conscious, you receive in the silence of the night the savior of the world without noise or great celebrations; you are a smile of trust and tenderness,in the inner peace of a perennial Christmas that establishes the kingdom within you. A very Merry Christmas for all those who look like Christmas. |
Religion / Top 12 Offences Christians Commit In Church by Sam4ky(m): 6:24am On Oct 21, 2018 |
Below are some offensive things some people do in church. Perhaps, you would find one or more you are guilty of and adjust as appropriate. 1. Constantly looking at your wristwatch to check the time. Most people are guilty of this. Once the sermon is getting too long, they began to take glances at the wristwatch, praying the service would come to an end. 2. Chewing gums. Have you ever sat near someone in church who is chewing gum like a cow chewing cud? You know how annoying that can be. Some even go as far as making silly sounds and blowing bubbles. 3. Receiving calls, pinging and texting. This is pure disrespect for God! As if it's not bad enough that your phone rings out during service, you will now go ahead to pick the call. You see some people pinging and texting away during service. This is just too wrong. Would you be pinging if your boss was talking to you? God deserves more respect. 4. Wearing party clothes to church. There are clothes meant for church. You shouldn't wear skimpy and revealing clothes to church. Just because the church allows you the freedom to be comfortable doesn't mean you have to take it for granted. 5. Taking selfie during service. This applies mostly to the ladies. They are the ones who like to take photos of peoples outfits and hairstyles for fun or because they also want to make that style. 6. Sleeping and snoring during sermons. It's funny when you spot people sleeping, snoring and falling over their neighbours. You might be tired and feeling sleepy, but try and keep your eyes open. It's just for a little while and you will be in your bed. 7. Coming late Some people are in the habit of coming to church when the sermon is about to start or half way into the service. Some give the excuse of not being able to get their children ready on time. During school days, how do you manage to get them to school before 8 am? If you can get them to school early and if you can get to your place of work early, you can also get to church early. 8. Gisting during service Most people engage in silly chit-chat while the service is going on, not paying attention to the pastor and they end up missing out. 9. Keeping your eyes open during prayers to watch how others are praying. Close your eyes and pray your own so that your miracle doesn't pass you by. Stop watching others. 10. Public display of affection . We understand you love your spouse a lot, but you can keep the petting till you are out of the church? It could be distracting to those around you. 11. Reading newspaper and magazines. Some men do this during sermons and prayers. Why come to church if that can't wait till you get home! 12. Jotting the pastor or speaker's grammatical errors. Some people do this to keep themselves busy. Instead of listening to get the message, they pay attention to get all the errors. Men and brethren would you blow bubbles or make noise with your gum if you are were standing in a court of law and in front of a judge? Would you pick your calls when your boss is talking to you? If your answer is no, then you should not do it in God's presence. God deserves RESPECT and HONOUR. Spit out your gum, turn off your cell phone, check that you 're appropriately dressed and make the most of the precious little time you have to spend in the presence of God. Meditation : God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints and to be held in reverence by all those around Him-- Psalm 89:7 https://m.facebook.com/GulfFieldRAK/posts/667399753438362 17 Likes 4 Shares

Religion / Blessings We May Not Recognise by Sam4ky(m): 6:05am On Sep 02, 2018 |
Blessings We May Not Recognise Here are some blessings we may be taking for granted: 1. If you own a Bible, you are abundantly blessed – about 1/3 of the world does not have access to one. 2. If you wake up each morning with more health than illness, you are blessed to rise and shine, to live and to serve in a new day. 3. If you have anyone on the planet, just one person that loves you and listens to you; count this as a blessing. 4. If you can freely attend a church meeting without fear, then you are more blessed than over 1/3 of the world. 5. If you have a yearning in your heart to parent a child, you are blessed because you still desire what you cannot see. 6. If you pray today or any day, you are blessed because you believe in God’s willingness to hear your prayer. 7. If you pray for someone else, you are blessed because you want to help others also. 8. If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head, and a place to sleep; all at the same time; you are rich in this world; 9. If you have a brother or sister in Christ that will pray with you and for you, you benefit from a spiritual unity, bond and agreement, which the gates of hell cannot stand against. 10. If you have any earthly family that even halfway loves you and supports you, you are blessed beyond measure. 11. If you attend a church with a church family that offers you one word of encouragement, you are blessed with some form of fellowship. 12. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, or some spare change in a dish someplace you are among the world’s wealthy. 13. If you can go to bed each night, knowing that God loves you, you are blessed beyond measure. 14. If you try each day to imitate our Lord Jesus Christ for even a minute, you are blessed because you show a willingness to grow up in Him. 15. If you can read this message, you are more blessed than about 1/3 of the world who cannot read at all. 16. If you have never had to endure the hardship and agony battle, imprisonment, or torture, you are blessed in indescribable measure. 17. If you have a voice to sing His praises, a voice to witness God’s love, and a voice to share the gospel, you are blessed. About 1/3 of the world do not even know who the one true God is. 18. If you can hold someone’s hand, hug another person, touch someone on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God’s healing touch. 19. If you can share a word of encouragement with someone else, and do it with His love in your heart, you are blessed because you have learned how to give. 20. If you have the conviction to stand fast upon His Word and His promises, no matter what, you are blessed because you are learning patience, endurance, and tenacity. 21. If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because most people can, but many will not. May God Bless You And Keep You Safe. Religion / Life Changing Epistles by Sam4ky(m): 1:28pm On Aug 22, 2018 |
Sometimes I start doing an evaluation of my life. In one of those I came across the story of the driver Michael Shumacher. When I studied his resume as an athlete I saw that he was: Winner of the Grand Prix in 1991. 7 (seven times) world champion of Formula 1. Happiness was in his being, but on a fateful day his story and his destiny completely changed due to a skiing accident .... Today, with just 44 kilos of weight, he’s been struggling to "survive" since December 2013. His wife begins to sell the goods to cover the expenses and thus be able to keep him alive in a room adapted in his house, where he lies like a vegetable. Here comes a question: Who is better than who then? Life can take directions never imagined. It's amazing how everything can change in an instant. No one is exempt. And under no circumstances are these of any use ultimately: Money, Titles, Fame, Success, Power. We are all the same. Then why the pride? Is it to make the claim? Why the arrogance? is it for that victimization? And why the attachments to materialism? Just to make you angry? Do you always think that your version is the absolute truth? All we have is the day to day so that we can live it with passion and enjoy ourselves to the fullest, doing good, serving our neighbor, full of joy and loving God as we are loved by Him. We need to stop creating problems, claim insignificant things, and always avoid everything that "diminishes our lives". Be careful not to lose someone who loves you and accepts you as you are. As in the game of chess, in the end both the King and the Pawn are kept in the same box. It is worth examining what we have done. We are born without bringing anything in... we die without taking anything out! Absolutely nothing!. And the sad thing is that in that tiny gap or window between life and death, we fight for what we did not bring in to the world and even still for what we will not take out of it ... Think about that, Let's therefore live more and love more. Let's always understand the other person and be happier for it! They sent it to me and I wanted to share it with you and all my best friends, because it seemed an interesting reflection. I wish we never forgot that to be great, we must be humble. |

Religion / Life Lessons From The ATM Machine by Sam4ky(m): 10:51am On Aug 12, 2018 |
Yesterday I was at the ATM to get some cash because I needed money. As I started to transact, the ATM showed me a message; ' Please insert your card'. I did. Then another message popped up, 'Please enter your pin code'. I did. And then another message came, '...select the amount.' I did that too. After I had done all these, the ATM showed me a message in BOLD letters : YOUR TRANSACTION IS BEING PROCESSED, PLEASE WAIT! Allow me to say , when you have done all the things you can --- you have prayed, you have fasted, you have even asked others to pray with you and for you; but it seems as if nothing is happening in your life. Don't move because your request is being processed. WAIT! What made me wait was because my card was already in the ATM; i had already entered my pin code. If i give up now and walk away, the next person would be the one to receive all that i had requested. It's not that your messages aren't heard; it's not that your prayers are irrelevant; it's not that your fasting is meaningless, you are having to wait because YOUR TRANSACTION IS BEING PROCESSED. Wait and murmur not. Do not think you were born to suffer. Your prayers are being processed, so wait upon the Lord. I know it's not easy, but i encourage you... WAIT! As the Bible says in Isaiah 40 vs 31: But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer. Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer. Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer! In His arms He’ll take and shield you; you will find a solace there. Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised Thou wilt all our burdens bear May we ever, Lord, be bringing all to Thee in earnest prayer. Soon in glory bright unclouded there will be no need for prayer Rapture, praise and endless worship will be our sweet portion there. Story "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" has long been associated with the United States of America. This is probably due in part to the fact that this country has a reputation for being the most generous nation in the world. After World War II, the United States and its people helped rebuild the very nations that attacked us. When countries-even those who were enemies of the United States-have experienced great national disasters such as earthquakes, floods, or famine, Americans have always been among the first to respond with aid. In Christian circles it may be the American missionaries who are the best known of the foreigners who go into the most remote parts of the Third World to bring help and hope. Though many in the U.S. judge the country, its government, and its people as not coming close to the ideals set in motion by Christ, most of the world's people are still amazed by America's dynamic rush to help "the least of these." In hundreds of millions of minds, the U.S. has traditionally been viewed as a Christian country because of the compassion it has shown to those in need. So for many of those whose lives have been saved or altered by America's outreach and generosity, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" is the song that best defines their view of this country. Yet this old hymn was not written by an American; rather, it was composed in Canada by a man who was born in Europe. One hundred and fifty years ago, two businessmen stood on a frigid Port Hope, Ontario, street corner as snow spit from a gray sky. In the midst of that bitterly cold day, a little man carrying a saw walked by. After the two friends watched the woodcutter pass, one of them observed, "Now there is a man happy with his lot in life. I wish I could know his joy!" "He seems to be happy, all right," the other agreed. Then he added, "I know he is a very hardworking, honest man." "If he is such a happy worker and honest too," the first businessman responded, "then maybe I should run after him and hire him to cut some wood for me. I am going to need some more to make it through the long winter months." "Oh," came the laughing reply, "he would not work for you." "And why not?" demanded the first man. "I would pay him a fair wage!" "It's not that at all. You see, Joseph Scriven only cuts wood for people who cannot afford to pay anyone to cut it for them, or for those who cannot cut it for themselves. Scriven gives his work to the people in need and takes nothing for himself." The man who exemplified Christian charity was born in Ireland in 1819. He did not have a life so charmed that faith came easily. In fact the woodcutter with the bright smile and gentle manner had suffered more heartache and woe than would hit most families in three generations. The son of a captain in the British Royal Marines, Joseph received a university degree from London's Trinity College in 1844. A man of great faith and determination, he quickly established himself as a teacher, fell in love, and made plans to settle in his hometown. Then tragedy struck. The day before his wedding, his fiancée drowned. Overcome with grief, Scriven left Ireland to start a new life in Canada. He taught school in Woodstock and Brantford before establishing a home in Rice Lake. It was there he met and fell in love with Eliza Rice. Just weeks before she was to become Scriven's bride, she suddenly grew sick. Though the best doctors from across the area were called in, nothing they did seemed to help. In a matter of weeks, Eliza died. A shattered Scriven turned to the only thing that had anchored him during his life-his faith. Through prayer and Bible study he somehow found not just solace but a mission. The twenty-five-year-old man decided to take to heart Jesus' "Sermon on the Mount." He sold all his earthly possessions and vowed to give his life to the physically handicapped and financially destitute. It was a vow he never broke. Ten years later Scriven received news that his mother had become very ill. The man who had taken a vow of poverty did not have the funds to go home and help care for the woman who had given him birth. Heartsick, feeling a need to reach out to her, Scriven first turned to prayer and then to words. In a letter to his mother, this friend of the friendless wrote the story of his life in three short verses he called "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." Scriven who later said, "The Lord and I wrote the song together," shared the poem with a few acquaintances. One of them took copies to a music publisher. Within two years the little poem of inspiration had been published and coupled to a tune written by an American lawyer, Charles Converse. "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" might have remained as obscure as Joseph Scriven if it had not been for the American evangelist Dwight L. Moody. Moody came across the song some two decades after it was written and believed it to be the most touching hymn he had ever heard. It was Moody, through his meetings, teachings, and books, who gave the song a national platform and probably created the impression that "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" had been written in the United States. In the late 1800s American missionaries took the hymn to the four corners of the globe. "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" was one of the first American songs learned by many of those touched by these missionaries' work. Because of missionaries the song became so associated with the United States and its people that by the turn of the century many Eastern European immigrants sang "What a Friend" as they arrived at Ellis Island. Many of these potential Americans did not understand a single word of English, but in their hearts they believed the United States was a place where Jesus was everyone's friend. The same thoughts and inspiration that Joseph Scriven wanted to give his sick mother in 1855, the idea that missionaries passed along in foreign lands for generations, and the hope that immigrants clung to as they arrived in the United States were adopted by millions of Christians during World War I and World War II. "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" was usually sung in American churches on the Sunday morning before a church member left for missionary service. This song, along with "Amazing Grace," was also the most common hymn played if that same man was lost in combat. Thus for tens of millions of Americans, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" became the spiritual reinforcement that got them through the most trying times of their lives. In the process the hymn had somehow grown beyond the autobiographical testimony of an Irishman, whose life had seen little but trouble and sacrifice, and into an anthem whose message was universal in moments of insecurity and doubt. Ironically, Joseph Scriven drowned in a Canadian lake in 1886. While he did realize that the poem meant only for his mother's eyes had become meaningful to others, the man with the giving spirit did not live long enough to see "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" taken to every corner of the globe. Yet Scriven, who spent fifty years cutting wood and giving all he had to "the least of these," would have surely been pleased to know that his life's message, written in a poem, has inspired so many for so long. I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice, And it told Thy love to me; But I long to rise in the arms of faith And be closer drawn to Thee. Refrain Draw me nearer, nearer blessèd Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died. Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord, By the power of grace divine; Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, And my will be lost in Thine. Refrain O the pure delight of a single hour That before Thy throne I spend, When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God I commune as friend with friend! Refrain There are depths of love that I cannot know Till I cross the narrow sea; There are heights of joy that I may not reach Till I rest in peace with Thee. Refrain Story Fanny Crosby wrote this consecration hymn while visiting in the home of the composer of the music, William H. Doane, in Cincinnati. That night, the family’s conversation centered around the blessedness of enjoying the nearness of God. Suddenly in a moment of inspiration, Fanny started giving the words of the hymn‑-line by line, verse by verse, and then the chorus. Soon after Doane supplied the music, and another of the more than 8,000 Fanny Crosby hymns was born. Since that day in 1875, these moving fines have ministered to and challenged countless numbers of God's people to keep their lives dedicated to their Lord. Bible Verses Hebrews 10:22 - Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. |
