Politics / Nigerian Pride, Does It Exist? by Samba2010: 2:49am On Oct 15, 2010
What do Nigerians have to be proud of as a collective?
Seems that after 50 years of independence has brought nothing but strife on our people.
Question I'd like to pose is are was ordinary citizens to blame for the state of our nation?

Interesting article from feint and margin.
Please read and comment your views are greatly appreciated.

could it be that we think so little of our culture and continent? What ever is from the west is deemed superior, and that isn't always the case. We have a rich beautiful culture and tourism of our that need support.

Why is it that Africans have travelled all over the world but hardly know their own continent? Why don't we explore and experience what other African cultures have to offer. How many Nigerians have visited, Malawi, Botswana, Kenya or even Gambia? Nigerians I know have visited and lived in Australia, the UK the US etc. Just something to ponder.

African Solutionz

Background Information
Hunger, war, corruption, lack of infrastructure, poor educational facilities, youth unemployment, disease, HIV/Aids. These are some of the words that are associated with Africa. Our continent has been plagued with strife and instability for decades. We have visionless leaders who have forgotten their mandate and the reason they were voted into power. Leaders who only care about self-enrichment.

African Solutionz is a forum for young Africans to share ideas, discuss and debate the challenges faced on the continent relating to politics, business, social problems and innovation.

African Solutionz forum was created to give young Africans living on the continent or in the Diaspora a medium where their views and ideas could be expressed. Not only are we looking to provide a platform for these views, this forum’s ultimate goal is to develop and create a strong civic society by creating awareness and cultivating communications and idea sharing lead by young Africans.

The Vision
• To create strong civic society spearheaded by young Africans
• Becoming a powerful force of influence in our countries
• Create awareness on what is happening on our continent
• Changing the status quo of poor governance holding ourleaders accountable
• Generate ideas to combat the problems facing our continent
• Through the communication organisational structure will be formed per region and per country
• Membership on the forum to be 150 000 young Africans in 1 years
• Young Africans occupying high leadership positions in their countries.

We need your help
The forum needs moderators for the following region: West Africa, East Africa, Central Africa and Southern Africa. In the future, these moderators will help set up the structures in their regions to create an organisation

We also need moderators for the following countries: Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Congo.
Please email: africansolutionz@gmail.com or visit African Solutions to apply for the moderation positions. We need young Africans with a passion for becoming part of the change, young Africans who have opinions and ideas and have ways to implement these ideas. Moderators will be responsible for setting the tone of the forums, and maintaining the forum’s boards.
