Hello house...Good morning. My friend has an issue with her siwess payment coupon. She omitted her first name when filling it, it only shows her last name and her middle name. Can she go ahead with the payment or she has to look for a way to rectify it?

Thanks

EVENING HOUSE, I APPLIED FOR A VISA EARLY LAST YEAR BUT WASNT GRANTED. NOW, I GOT ADMISSION TO ANOTHER SCHOOL AND WANT TO APPLY AGAIN BUT WITH A DIFFERENT EMAIL. WHILE FILLING OUT THE VISA APPOINTMENT FORM, I GOT A RESPONSE THAT MY DETAILS MATCHES ONE ON THE DATABASE WHICH HAPPENS TO BE THE EMAIL I USED LAST YEAR. MY PROBLEM NOW IS THAT I NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO THAT EMAIL AND ALSO, THIS NEW EMAIL WAS THE ONE I USED FOR VISA APPLICATION BUT THEY WANT TO TRANSFER MY DETAILS TO THE PREVIOUS ONE. HOW DO I GO ABOUT IT PLEASE

Click on allow or yes something like that, then you would be asked to upload your international passport. Wait for 72 hours or less mine was less you would get a new password with your new email then you would be able to book for interview date

Hello house
I traveled to the US in 2018 and came back after my visit.
Now I’m trying to apply for an F1 visa as I’ve gotten admission for my masters.
The email address I used in 2018 is different from the one I am using now so the system is saying to transfer my application to my old email to prevent errors with multiple accounts. I confirmed that and was asked to send a scanned copy of my passport, which I did.
Is there anyone that has experienced this before? How long did it take them to effect the change? Because I can’t book a date until the change is effected. Thank you.

I was experiencing this, but I sent a mail to support-Nigeria @ustraveldocs.com and it was done within 24 hours

Hello everyone, I’m currently having issues logging to the cgi page. My username and password I input is correct but it keeps telling me incorrect username or password, I still use the same password and username this morning. Has anyone experienced this?

Also I clicked on forgotten password but the email which is the username I used in creating the profile I don’t have access to it anymore. I created the profile in 2018.

STEM is very broad, and is focused more on technical skills. Non-STEM jobs mostly require excellent soft skills like oral communication (accent in particular!!!). For non-native English speakers (like we are), it's easier to fit into STEM fields here.

Also, US companies value internships, and see it as a pathway towards making fulltime postgraduation offers. So before you chose any course to study in the US, please take time to research on the job market for it - especially programs like political science, etc...YouTube can help you with this. All the best!

Okay thank you

Hello house
I would be applying for fall 2021, undergraduate degree 3.75/5 political science, i would like to go for master in course like international affairs or international development since it’s related to my undergraduate degree.

For those in America or anyone else. I would like to know job opportunities after school, seems like those in science and technology get more job in USA.
Anyone who has studied this course or something related should please reply.

Thank you.

US F1 Visa approved
Date: 30 Oct 2020
Interview time: 11am
I got there 7am and was allowed in by 9:30am

Me: Good morning Sir
Vo: Good morning

Vo: Pass me your passport, I-20, Ds160 and Sevis fee receipt

Me: While passing it, I need to say that my program is stated differently on my I-20. My program is MA International Development Studies. My school says the SEVIS system uses some set of codes for variety of programs and that is why it is stated differently on my I-20

Vo: oh okay. We will get to that

Me: Alright

Vo: So where is Ohio

Me: Sorry, you mean the school

Vo: Yes

Me: Athens

Vo: Why did you choose Ohio

Me: I chose Ohio for 3 reasons
1. Ohio gave me a tuition scholarship
2. As part of my program I will be learning a second language. No other school offers this

Vo: cuts in. What language will you be learning.

Me: French, because in the field of development English and French are the two official languages

Vo: Yes that's true. So which other Universities did you apply to

Me: University of Pittsburgh, Western Michigan University and American University

Vo: so why did you choose ohio

Me: Like I said earlier. Ohio gave me a scholarship and I would learn a second language.

Vo: Oh true you said that. Have you travelled outside Nigeria before

Me: No

Vo: Where have you travelled to in Nigeria

Me: Edo, Kano, Kaduna, Zaria, Minna, Abuja, Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo

Vo: Who is paying the rest of your fees

Me: My aunt

Vo: How is she related to you.

Me: She's my mum's sister

Vo: Where is she

Me: Here in Lagos..She works for so so so

Vo: I will be approving your Visa. Gives me a white paper. Go and pay your reciprocity fee. You will be told when you can pick up your passport.

No questions on Gre or Toefl. He didn't check my bank statements also. All the best to does preparing for interview.

Congratulations, please can you share your profile I want to apply to the same university and course also for fall 2021. Thank you

Visa Approved!!

Profile-
Program: MA Political Science
GPA- 3.28/4
Deficits- $6,677
GRE- 318
School- Texas Tech University (Spring)

I had a very concise interview. Before I proceed into proper details, permit to use this medium to thank Samuel (Sammy like I fondly call), Fortune, Fairheart, Mathew, Francis, Acers family, and a host of others I am yet to mention; these amazing lads gave me the mock interview and confidence (some deadly guts) to face my fears.

Sunday (4th Oct, 2020) is just like every other day where I casually mailed Lagos consulate with a view of booking an expedited appointment with no much expectations. I barely recall sending a mail that Sunday! On Monday morning, I got a mail from lagos consulate slating an appointment by Friday! FRIDAY? that must be a huge joke! How could I possibly pay sevis fee, fill my DS-160 form, get an updated I-20 to spring, going through the hassles of documents printing in just 4 days?! Hell no... I'm skipping this appointment. I was so damn sure about this on Monday but by Tuesday morning, I reflect on my thoughts and realized how golden this opportunity is. I presented my case before these great guys, Samuel and fortune who offered to help with documents printing errands and transcript drafting respectively, while I take care of other tasks.

Wasn't really thinking of the mock interview preparations until Thursday afternoon after arriving at my lodge close to the Lagos consulate at VI. It was a tedious experience filled with funny memories.

Thanks to the virtual mock interview organized by Mathew, Sam, Francis et al where I was given a friendly but yet, rigorous drilling, critiquing my transcripts which helped in boosting my confidence. Studied through the night with an open but yet prayerful mind...

By morning, I headed straight to the consulate; tho a walkable distance but I booked a cab. Upon my arrival, I focused my gaze on the scanty applicants (about 35 in total) contrary to the usual expectations. I shaped my mind and blended with the cue while I await my faith. Waited for about half an hour before the rain started (that's a story for another day). The CGFI official instructed us on the document arrangements while we align on a single line heading straight to the interview unit..............

The VO is in window 9, probably in his mid 30s. A very wonderful and yet witty conversationalist. He denied about 4 applicants ahead of me and issued 3 approvals. I won’t lie, my morale was dampened but I kept a straight face. A lady just ahead of me was literally begging the VO to reconsider his denial and almost not leaving the spot! (In my head I was like, hey pretty! Leave that spot before you annoy the VO.. don’t implicate me pls........)

Here goes my interview with the VO

VO: Good morning, pass me your passport and I-20.

Me: I obliged.

VO: What are you going to do in the US ?

me: I am going for a Master’s degree in Political science with Concentration in International Relations and Public Policy, in Texas Tech University, Lubbock.

VO: not a single word from him as he kept typing......(I wasn’t sure if he heard me but I kept my cool).. So who is sponsoring your studies?

Me- Well, I was offered a Graduate teaching assistantships with full tuition waiver and some monthly stipends to help offset my living expenses and my uncle will help with the deficits.

VO: ...keeps typing for a couple of seconds, this time around a bit longer than usual. So what does your uncle do?

Me- He works as a Real estate Developer and owns a wholesale supermarket.

VO: where does he work at?

Me: Lagos

VO: okay. ...keeps typing.... So where did you graduate from ?

Me- The University of Ibadan in May, 2018

VO: Have you ever travelled out of the country ?

Me- No sir, I had no reason to.

VO- Are you married ?

Me- No sir.

VO: What is your program start date?

Me: 04 January, 2021

VO: Oh! You said you graduated from University of Ilorin?

Me: No sir, I graduated from the University of Ibadan.

VO: I see... Okay. I will be approving your Visa. have your reciprocity fee paid at window 23 and make sure you make travel plans not more than 30 days before your program start date.. you will need your I-20 at the POE ...........blah blah blah... I smiled as he utter the golden words!!!

From what I observed, the interview lasted less than 2 minutes! No other documents requested. Financial statement was handy but he never asked.

Congratulations, abeg wat your Cgpa in Nigeria, I want to know because I’m planning to apply for the same course thank you
